- GMC MH9500 is starter truck of Snowrunner and being a highway truck it wasn't suitable for off-road but with recent update it got AWD upgrade which makes it capable of going against some off-road trucks like freightliner.

The second engine for the GMC is the better upgrade not the last. More durable and more fuel-efficient same power to weight.

interesting hiw durability plays a huge part in this game not just the most power hp wise but the catalyst is the torque primarily ☝️ took me over a year to figure that out

I didnt know the gmc could have the flat bed+ crane combo, AND a trailer. Ive been using White Western Star with flatbed and trailer, and needed a crane too many times. This is a game changer to me. Thank you very much, I always assumed this truck was terrible, and cast it aside.
It was the best of the highway trucks, even when it didn't have AWD. With good tires and diff lock, it could do some light offroading. Now it got much better with AWD.
@@LEO70312 Oohh it was updated and given awd? I remembered not using this truck specifically because it either didnt have awd, or diff lock when the game first came out.

With the AWD and DIFF upgrade, the GMC could probably be classed as an offroad or heavy truck
not heavy certainly, it's very light (5.5 tons)

@@justinbiggs1005 The GMC destroys the Fleetstar with heavy loads. WWS is a little more stable off road than both but lacks the power to stay in gear no matter what transmission you use.

I've always told my friends not to doubt the mh9500, its my little highway hero and honestly probably one of my favorite trucks, it has a nice progression finding parts along the way as it needs upgrades and lasts pretty long into the campaign (if played in chronological order)
It's one of those trucks you can deploy to almost any region and put to work. I used it extensively in Alaska and Yukon, then deployed it to Kola, grabbed the AWD upgrade and have kept on running it. It's almost as if you don't need any other trucks in the game!
please do a rematch for the derry longhorns... the 3194 has diff lock now and the dead axle is lifted!

I tried 3194, it's more powerful than 4520, but its steering speed is a bit pain. Like M916 at early version of game.

Personal recommendation for the GMC, don't use the raised suspension. You can fit the 47 inch tires on it with the stock suspension and it's much more stable with the stock suspension.
How about damage when everything hits you? Havent tried that but i will!

I was thinking of using 114SD as my main truck in Yukon, but now I see that GMC is also a good alternative to it and I can't decide lol
I would personally say the GMC is better starting out, and maybe even better late game, as it comes with most powerful (actually a GMC specific) engine option installed.

@@mikoajkisiel7896 of course not I used the international navistar till I got to level 20 when I wanted more of a challenge .. the fleetstar is better then the gmc I my opinion as heavy duty trucks are some of the best all around trucks

It is getting to harder to class the GMC as a highway truck as once you get the upgrades it is one of the better off-road trucks in the game. The Transtar and the Ford 9000 are hopelessly highway trucks until they get similar upgrades.
Both of them at least need a diff lock. That’s really fuckin help them. Same as them getting a more powerful or bigger engine.
@Brian Jake Gaming my current playthrough on Hard mode I'm trying to make use of everything they give you. With chain tires and selective pathing the 4070a has been a decent support truck.
@Brian Jake Gaming i sent a scout to Lake Kovd to upgrade the GMC and its my best (American) off road truck. Again. For the challenge its nice to try some different things.
@Brian Jake Gaming honestly, I don't see a huge difference in the muds and the OHS II's. I feel a bigger difference in the 8x8 trucks and tire size.

Even with the age difference, both trucks are highly similar on performance. When one truck wins, the other is right behind. Old GMC’s raw power vs modern Freightliner’s fuel efficiency.
I agree. The differences are not big. I prefer the 114SD.
Tbh they both have their purpose. I use the gmc as a fuel tanker and the freightliner gets used for hauling cargo on a flatbed while pulling trailers when needed. My freightliner is my go to truck for like 80% of missions but the gmc has definitely saved my ass before. Its really stable as a fuel truck which isn't common when you use the fuel add on
Ya daft? The GMC had BETTER fuel efficiency than the FreightLiner.

The moment the GMC reviewed its AWD it overtook the White Western Star as my favorite truck. Not only is the GMC a lot cheaper but you get it for free. Since it's the starter truck it has got a special place in my fleet and I'll never sell it again. It's almost as good as the White Western Star but for half the price. I felt like the Freightliner's high price and the level lock to buy it makes me wonder why you should get it. Both can have the oil finding add on. I have both since they are pretty cool but if I need to decide between them I'll definitely pick the GMC. Also the horn is my second favorite after the P16. Another nice comparison, SD1ONE👍

@@teztiklesinyomouth9534 it is due to the fact, of a vehicle has a option of better tires or other accessories that would make it better to not be used your not truly testing the vehicles to the max, always put on everything, even if it makes the match unfair

For the gmc the westline v6 2420 is not the best engine. The 2100 is. I think it is weird too.
This was super surprising to me, the fact that a highway truck is better off road than an offroad truck is awesome.

Freightliner 114sd wins because the gmc is at the bottom of the mountain outta fuel while the 114sd is starting a 2nd contract on the same tank 😅 speaking from experience id take the 114sd over any American truck with the same frame add on and trailer options. You can get so much done on one tank of fuel with the 114sd and in the low gears it'll haul anything
I think you should also do a normal terrain run. Offroad trucks tend to have much better suspension articulation and a softer ride, which makes them faster and more comfortable offroad. You don't really do deep mud when playing, you try to avoid mud where possible usually by driving on the grass next to the muddy "road". This is what GMC is not really that good at. It's got basically no suspension flexing. In the deep mud that's usually not an issue, you just rely on low gear + differential locks. But in 4Hi I think the 114SD may have an advantage. Also this bumper doesn't seem to be the highest one you can install.

GMC is incredibly underrated, I love to use it sits so high from the ground that terrain barely affects it.

@@T0MMYDUDE well I never really had too much trouble tipping it. If you stick to main roads there is a very low chance to tip any truck. It's front to back stability it really good, and it's side to side stability it decent, nothing crazy op, but it is serviceable.

For 3-combo, 114SD , 9500 and F2070A: 114SD have biggest gap between truck and trailer. F2070A have shortest wheel base. F2070A is most powerful.
Since in this video, 9500 win, probably do a rematch between 9500 and F2070A.

they all are equally powerful with the same Si-6V 2100T engine, but the Fleetstar is the lightest among them all.
upd: I forgot about the Westline V6 2350T, so yeah, it is also the most powerful
Oh yeah. The GMC is infinitely better with the AWD upgrade added in phase one. I can confirm, it's an absolute beast.
Both are capable, but the GMC's higher ground clearance gives it an edge in rough terrain.
I think the reason for the high unlock level for the Freightliner is because it's a "new" truck, just a theory!
Sd1 the better way to tell how long they last better is drive for a minute then it shows a more accurate fuel consumption
If you don't own season 1(kola) the GMC is useless because no kola no awd.Btw if you don t have rank 20 or money to buy the freightliner you can unlock it for free in the burned forest in ontario
I was very happy to find it when scouting the map. Since I've restarted hardmode I don't have much. I did most of Michigan to save a little money, scouted Alaska and jumped to Ontario. I don't have much bit am really enjoying Ontario. Now i'm not watching any spoiler videos.
When doing tests can you choose the optimal loadout? Like for the road race use highway gearbox and wheels?

next there should be a competition between the CAT 770G vs the Pacific P16
P16 is better for steering and I find its tire grip is better ..plus it's also faster .. and that horn .. hard to ignore that thing
the last engine not always the best. The most powerful for the GMC is the same Si-6V/2100t
They should add 5 Kenworth trucks, one for each role.
Highway: Kenworth T370
Heavy duty: Kenworth C540
Heavy: Kenworth W900
Offroad: Kenworth K500
Scout: Kenworth Pickup
who would have expected the GMC MH9500 with the awd to do so well? considering it's the first truck when you start playing.
By the time you find and get the all wheel drive it would be pointless at the beginning considering not alot of trucks if any can get there in the beginning with no to little options
Don't underestimate this GMC because when you store out you think it's a bad truck but when you are a pro and you get to the Upgrades of the GMCYou're gonna think I'm an idiot but no just don't underestimate this truck when you start out and snow runner
There must be a reason why the game gives us GMC and Fleetstar first.
I found out the Chevy pickup can outmatch the Scout 800 not flipping like it.
With no AWD the GMC stays in the garage.
I've done some crazy shít in Michigan using the Fleetstar,it doesn't match Azov or ANK but i'm sure there are players who can drive it better.
They really have good grip in mud!

Despite the results of your test, I cannot like the GMC. Just don't like how it runs & steers. I much prefer the 114SD.
Tests are tests. Operational use is another thing altogether.
Well I don't like GMC either personally but In these tests I have to be unbiased irrespective of what I think of them personally.

@@ozymandiastotb8925 Well, I included 114SD in my top 10 trucks video which is based on my personal opinion instead of GMC but the beauty of this game is you can try any truck anytime as they can be sold at same price you bought it for unlike EA games (NFS) where you just can't try all cars
Imo the GMC is the better of the 2 it has the same engines, is slightly lighter, and has a much better approach angle, plus for whatever reason the 114 is a lvl 20 truck.
You should compare some trucks stock or with upgrades that you get when you buy the truck too

As MH9500 can put some offroad trucks into shame, dev have to promote it to offroader at a demotion of BM17

The Freightliner at the unlock level and price point is probably the most mediocre truck in game, it has really no point against their American counterparts, even less against Russian trucks.
It should have a custom engine file, instead of sharing variants with much older and cheaper trucks, probably on par with the voron D torque.
