Here is a little history about the guys at Tool Town:
Tooltown has been a family owned and operated business since 1962. Our Uncle Harry started the business and passed it down to our father in 1971. Dad was working in a small hardware store in Paterson when he received a call came from Uncle Harry asking our father to join him at Tooltown. My father accepted the offer and continued to work and build the business for many years. When my brother and I got older and completed our school educations, we joined my Dad on a full time basis. My brother Steve has been working at the store since 1975 and I joined him in 1984. We have been serving contractors and homeowners for well over 50 years in combined experience.
Our goal is to offer our knowledge, advice and expertise to assist our customers in making the right purchase for the particular job at hand. Service is and has always been most important to us and is what we take our greatest pride in. Selling tools is the basic job. Being able to educate and teach our customers before they buy is the more important and rewarding part of sales. There is yet one more important component to operating a successful sales business and that's continued service and availability after the sale! That is where we excel and what has always been the reason our customers remain loyal. Whether our customer merely has a question regarding particular uses of a purchased product or needs guidance on a "how to go about using it step-by-step measures", we are always here, ready to help in any way we can. We believe in building relationships, not just selling merchandise. Our customers leave the store with a confidence that when they purchase from Tooltown, it isn't simply a purchase they've made, but a new, lifelong friendship.
