I'm glad your liking the grex guns, you are right about oiling the guns daily. I was using the bostitch oil less brad before so when I switched the grex I sometimes forgot to add oil, the gun wasn't firing consistently but once I started adding a few drops before each use its as good as new.
I bought one of these a few months ago, unfortunately i am horrible disappointed. The gun cant shoot a dozen nails without jamming. It now sits on the shelf while i use a SENCO.
I thought so too until I held it and used it. It feels like a tool should, its got nice weight to it and fires so smoothly. To the guys having problems with their guns I would contact grex and get them serviced. Obviously there is an issue with your guns and maybe they can get resolved.
Hey Dave, on your personal recommendation I bought one of these from the Toolnut and I use Bostitch nails in it without any problem at all. Not one jam or misfire since I have owned it. I always put a couple of drops of oil in each day it is going to be used.
I liked it sooooooo much I have bought the Grex Green Buddy 18g as well. Awesome equipment, Grex gets my vote!!
hello what compressor are u using name brand can u please send me a link
Are you using grex brand nails? I was having an issue with jamming while using off brand nails, I have very little issues while using the grex nails. Also don't slam the magazine cartridge shut, take your time so the pins don't move. If your still having issues I would contact grex. I love mine and I'm glad I purchased the p635.
U guys?
I have the same problem....a dozen nails or so and misfires or jambs....oil with every use, proper air settings....I'm befuddled.....also one of the screws that holds the nose plate in place just fell out a few days after purchase...disappointed in this gun for the money...and I have been using Grex pinners for years....just not one able to handle the 2" pins.
Nice gun, but still way overpriced.
bosch is the way to go on pin nailers
