I own Festool TI15 Impact and I went got my self Hilti impact drill I definitely would recommend Hilti. Festool drills made me angry when I try to drill or even put screw in it stops often.
For small project such as cabinets etc Festool will do fine.
Think of other options when it comes to drills

I'm glad this video helped you in making the decision of if this is the impact for you, that's why I make them. I compared the speed of the ti15 to my hilti 14.4 impact and the ti15 was a little faster. Let me know what our ended up buying and why.

After hearing horror stories of Dewalt DCF887 impacts smoking. I will be happy to splurge on this festool

The nice part about these impact guns is you don't need to put all that pressure on screw to keep it from slipping and you don't get that twisting torque back thriugh screw gun. It is good for screws that are long, or hard to drive with normal screw gun., again you don't get the screw gun torqued oiut of your hand and or need to apply excess pressure to keep the bit from slipping.

@Matt Bates well then buy one. I love my festools but I still make informed decisions on which tools to buy. This one doesn't perform well enough to justify the price. I'm a business man, not a rich guy who buys expensive stuff so I can brag about it

10" deck screws? haha, my dewalt runs 5/16" diameter 14" full lenth thread lag bolts with absolutley no complaints. also, it has nearly double the torque at 1,400 inch pounds.

This video convinced me not to buy one of these drill/drivers,As I suspected there are too many compromises when trying to combine to products into one.The impact feature seems super slow and not that powerful

Slow? Maybe I don't have the absolute best tools, but I thought that was quite fast. Not that powerful? He sank a ten inch screw in like six seconds.

A $500 impact... No Thanks. I bought this thinking it would eliminate having to lug inmost and drill. This unit stops so much, it makes it impossible to drill anything when it keeps stopping all the time. Sucks... I expected way better from festool. I ended up returning it and stuck with my dewalt set.

Wasn't impressed with ti15 at all not up to festools usual very high standards. Would be better if was just an impact driver and not a poor drill driver.
