  • The next-generation armored fighting vehicle from General Dynamics Land Systems, crafted for the United States Army. Emerging from the GDLS Griffin, the M10 Booker triumphed in the Mobile Protected Firepower program in June 2022.
Specifically designed to bolster Infantry Brigade Combat Teams, the M10 Booker excels in suppressing and destroying enemy fortifications, gun systems, and trench routes, while also offering secondary protection against armored threats.
Derived from the Austrian-Spanish ASCOD infantry fighting vehicle platform, the M10 Booker features a 105 mm M35 tank gun, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, a 12.7mm heavy machine gun on the commander hatch, and smoke grenade launchers. The redesigned chassis meets the Army’s rigorous standards, enhancing maneuverability and efficiency.
With additional armor panels, IED protection, and compartmentalized ammunition storage, the M10 Booker ensures maximum crew safety. The conventional design places the driver and engine at the front and the turret at the rear, accommodating a crew of three.
Equipped with Safran Optics 1’s Commander’s Independent Tactical Viewer (CITV) long-range panoramic targeting sight, it provides superior situational awareness in all combat scenarios, whether stationary or on-the-move.
The M10 Booker is a divisional asset, providing commanders the flexibility to deploy these armored vehicles as needed. As the Army transitions to divisions as the tactical unit of action, the M10 Booker offers unmatched tactical overmatch on the battlefield.

BAE M8 AGS was approved in the 1990s. Cancelled due budgets cuts and $ redirected to the Balkan mission. Worst decision in my 22 year Army career. the Army, BAE and GDLS will not say why it was disqualified. Anyone have the inside skinny why? Thanks in advance.

Basically, a light tank for the grunts. They aren't even going to have real tankers man these things. Just when I thought the Army couldn't go any lower.
