- The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang is an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II and the Korean War, among other conflicts. The P-51 was also used by Allied air forces in the North African, Mediterranean, Italian and Pacific theaters. During World War II, Mustang pilots claimed to have destroyed 4,950 enemy aircraft.
Excellent work on this P51. I have the same model and will use your build as a reference. I used Alclad II Airframe Aluminum. It sprayed absolutely beautifully. I ran out and got anxious. So I sprayed Model Air Aluminum over what I had painted Alclad. Did not work, so I removed the Model Air paint. I ordered more Alclad and will repaint. Lesson learned. It's a great little kit.
Thank you very much!
It's nice seeing your thought process as you go. I have this model next, and you enabled me to think forward. Very nicely done, and great filming!
Thank you very much!
Amazing work απίστευτη δουλειά i love you videos αγαπάω τα βίντεο σου.😀😀😀
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the guide for me as a beginner very good!
You’re welcome!
A very nice build! And a very informative and well edited video! Well done!
Thank you very much!

What are those brushes you use they are incredible? Great build thank you!
Thank you very much! I used Tamiya Brushes.
I didn’t bother adding the tire detail back in because I’m lazy and not that good, but it just looks kinda worn out. It worked out good imo. Very nice video :) your mustang looks awesome
Thank you very much!
I love this P51
Thank you very much!
the p51 mustang for the red tails
I assemble mainly paper models, but lately I've decided to build some plastic kits in 1:72. One of them will be P-51 - not necessarily from Tamiya - but your video will be helpful for sure. Thanks.
Thank you very much!
Aluminum/Silver P-51s are the best✨✨
I don't understand why you used a gray primer on the exterior before the gloss black coat. Why not just gloss black? Would the gloss black not "stick" to an unprimed surface properly?
I like to prime it gray first because it helps me see if I missed any mold or seam lines. You can apply a gloss black coat directly onto the plastic and skip the gray primer step.
Nice result 👍 Subscribed.
Thank you very much!
I am currently working on this same model (my very first one) and I've been watching your video as a guide in my own build. If may ask, how are you able to keep the canopy parts in place while priming and painting? I notice that at 11:20 they were on for priming but removed for scribing at 12:35 and then on again at 14:27 for painting but removed again take the masking off the parts. I admit, I just went ahead and secured them with PVA glue but would like to know how you managed to remove them for future projects - Thank you and great build!
Thank you very much! To temporarily secure the canopy I used Sticky Tack, the brand I'm using is Faber Castell but I think any brand would do. You can see it in 12:41, it's the greenish thing.
My brother made a P51 but idk what brand it was from, by the way can you make a SBD Dauntless?
I can make one but I need to find a kit that I like first. With the outbreak and everything it will probably take a while thou.
Kuma Models worth it
@@KumaModels , academy makes a1/48 dauntless. Don't know about the quality tho...
5:49 flavour 👌🤌🤌🤌
Masterful!
Thank you very much!
How can you make a curved mask if I want it to cover a surface from being painted?
I used tamiya's masking tape for curved surfaces.
www.tamiyausa.com/shop/finishing/masking-tape-for-curves-3mm/
An alternative is to use 3M electrical tape, they're almost the same material.
@@KumaModels thanks
What happend to the decals on the sides is surface of the model is not glossy enough. So when you apply weathering, particles easily hold on the model surface but not on the very glosy decal surface. You should improve your AirBrushing skills. Because, What I saw on your build videos is that your Airbrushing sessions leaves too rough surface finishes. I hope You won't find my critisizm as offending.
Ohh I see. Thank you very much! I've recently upgraded my airbrush as well as my compressor so hopefully they come out a lot better! Not at all, you're comment is very helpful!
It looks like you hold your airbrush too far away from the surface while spraying. The paint particles then are partly dry when they reach the surface. That gives a rough surface.
It's cushdy! I love it.
Thank you very much!
👍👍
Thank you very much!
