Just ordered this kit from E-Bay mainly because I noticed it comes with an Aboukir filter and I’ve got some spare decals for an aircraft equipped with that sort of filter.
An excellent build. Finish is sublime!! One very very small observation if I may?…. The wingtip navigation lights are the wrong way around. Red should always be on the left (port side) of any maritime vessel or aircraft. When I was in the Royal Air Force, we were taught to remember that “The RED PORT was LEFT on the table”. Congrats again on a fabulous build :D
Thank you for pointing this out. I made a mistake in painting according to the instructions in the manual. I should have looked into it because it felt strange.
Sorry for the late reply. I used below items. Glue Tamiya cement [Item No:87003] Tamiya extra-thin cement [Item No:87038] Brushes Tamiya modeling brush high finish pointed brus (fine) [Item No:87049] Air brush GSI Procon boy platinum PS269(out of production) *I recently bought a PS 289 to replace it.
Great build! I especially liked the color overlapping and modulation. Really nice effect. Question: did you use glossy black base coat on purpose or would it be the same to use flat black?
Thank you for your comment! Regarding the black color of the undercoat, I have not noticed any change between gloss and matte. (I use the one with the larger inventory)
ive never seen that trick with the paper that was brilliant
Excellent model! Also thank you for sharing your techniques.
Lovely spit. Great work

It always feels strange because you want to thing "Right = Red"
The common phrase to remember is "Red Port Wine".
