    GIRL!!! Spot on. Everything you said is 100% facts. I lost 30 pounds in 3.5 months doing this very thing. Real food! High protein, high fiber, low carb. That's it! And easy strength training at home with dumbells. You GOTTA build muscle to keep strong bones & you burn more fat at a resting rate when you have more muscle.

    Myra, I love your channel. I think you are an excellent explainer and your so relatable. I want to warn you about one thing that no one warned me about: around the age of fifty, everything that ever worked weight loss wise just stops working the same until menses stops completely. Also, the cravings we all have occasionally go into overdrive in ways that I could never have anticipated. I plan to follow you a long time. When you get there, I look forward to learning what the heck was going on in that five year window, and to see if you find some solutions specific to that time to help your OG fans ease it all up. ❤

    You are absolutely right! I never had a weight issue until perimenopause. I was struggling with hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia so bad! I tracked everything for a few weeks until it started to trigger me. What I did learn was how much sugar and bad carbs I was taking in. I changed my diet, started walking more and weight training. Within a few days no more hormonal symptoms!!! Another plus was it helped reduce my anxiety a lot! I am 10 weeks in, I feel amazing and have seen great results. I am not deprived or super restrictive. I still allow myself to live life but just make better choices. Your video’s have helped me along the way. Thanks ❤

    You're my greatest inspiration for weight loss on YT. I went from 278 to 232 and i feel a difference. Its a lifestyle change. Intermittent fasting with keto is a game changer. Its when u fast and starve ur self is when u set ur self up for failure....which means binging

    Your recipes are awesome. I cooked a whole chicken, chicken thighs and pork chops today so I can meal prep tomorrow.
    I’ve been struggling since the 3nd week in Jan. I was down 8 lbs and then I gained 3.
    I use carb manager but find myself obsessing over counting carbs, fat, protein and fiber. Then I get disappointed with myself and then sabotage myself.

      Yes! And keto makes those menopausal hormones ride a horrid roller coaster! A rule for me is no keto when menopausal. I do really good on a low carb/clean eating diet. Totally cut those processed foods right out!

    This is interesting stuff. I recently found out about a food service called just meats and I have found it extremely helpful in getting adequate protein. Its so tricky as a toddler mom to keep everything together so i haven't had much success with meal prep but i do find that regardless of meal prep the planning ahead part is SOOO valuable!

    Eating clean is good,But dirty keto works too…..Because I lost well over 130lbs in around a year maybe a little less. I had blood work done every few months and everything was perfect numbers wise. I also had a doctor monitoring other stuff.

    Omgggg, I love love love your content!!! I just found out I’m prediabetic and it scared me! I did my own research and started Keto this week along with intermittent fasting. Your videos and recipes are SO helpful!!! 💖💖💖✨✨
    Oh and yes, I follow your advice on not snacking and eat two meals, lunch (noon) and dinner (6pm) and I’m not nearly as hungry as before. When I’m hungry I drink water or Zevia at night if I’m starving.

      I'm with you. I'm short too so when I gain or lose 10 pounds it's very obvious! My vice used to be oreos. I would eat them like no tomorrow and once I leveled out with my protein sources it helped me so much!

    Please do the video about carbs and hormones!! My hormones have been messed up my whole life and during my weight loss journey I feel like I’m going cray-cray.
    Also, could you make a video on foods/drinks that you can have during intermittent fasting that don’t break your fast, like coffee. That is what I mess up with all the time.

    I love swinging kettlebells. It is fun and effective. Just need my body length space to do it. Lauren Brooks is my favorite instructor. My weight only goes down when I lose from the fullest part of my bust. Two of my three problem areas slim but my bust typically stays the same and it is my largest measurement.

I normally don't eat until noon and it worked for me, but my new job, the boss lady lol she has loads of snacks and I've been snacking here and there, handful of pistachios here, handful of peanut butter filled pretzels there. The extras just make you more hungry. So, just got to get back to basics as you say.... I will take a look at your Ebook and get to it. Much ❤

    Hi Mayra! EVERYTHING that you have said in this video is 💯 on point!!! What works for me is cutting out the carbs and just eating vegetables and proteins. I also had to cut a lot of snacking! I also exercise almost every day. And of course I have to drink a lot of water. 😅 Thank you so much for putting your time doing your videos I really appreciate you for doing these videos!     I liked this video. I came across this channel interested in figuring out new daily meal ideas. I lost a substantial amount of weight about 3 years ago. I eat healthy and exercise regularly. Just wanted to find something food wise that was more appealing and that I would enjoy more. I believe I found it on this channel. 👍👍

    I was on Keto for 4 yrs, I lost 28 pounds , and made keto recipes etc etc but when I was looking at my pics I looked so skinny, and I was deprived eating the good meals with family, I gained 14 pounds I look better, and I don’t deprive myself anymore , it doesn’t mean I eat whatever I want but if I feel like eating pasta I will eat it in a small amount and I enjoyed😋

      Hi, just wanted to comment about the weight loss standstill. What worked for me was eating like crap for a week (fast food, lots of carbs). Then going back to the diet. It like reset my body to lose weight again.

    I quit sugar for 1 month bad oils and gluten. Did intermittent fasting and lost 10 pounds in 1 month. Still have 30 more pounds to go ❤

    Studies have shown that keto will work well the first time, but never as well if you regain and go back to it.

    It makes sense that the body burns fat inthe absence of carbs because carbohydrates stores glycogen which is energy stores for a period of food deprivation ❤

    100% agree. I made the mistake of telling my neighbor how much I lost in the first 3 months of Keto and she was disappointed by her results. Everybody is different.

    I only need to loose about 10 or there will be nothing of me lol. I am 4 foot 11 inches tall so my weight is in my middle and it shows quickly. I love pasta and rice but I hear you, cut down in it or even eliminate. Thanks for the motivation. Also love your bedroom❤side note I have had two babies c-section so I have the added tummy fat!
