- I've been dyeing my hair for 15 years so I'm quite familiar with blonde hair dye.
A couple of years ago I switched from warm blonde to ash blonde and I've been testing options since.
In this video I will be dying my roots with L'Oreal Majirel High Lift Ash Violet.

The only thing I would change, is that I would leave it on for 50 minutes instead of 30, I read the instructions after, I was too excited to get it on.

Hey want do you to get the ends so light , I have a client who is blonder with brownish roots she’s been using boxed die so her ends are brassy and yellow golden , but I want to get her one solid color
Hair looks more orange than yellow before. Came out beautiful either way.

Does this product work on already bleached/highlighted hair? I just got my hair highlighted but I am not satisfied with the result as it came out too dark (my stylist worked with two colors: bleach and darker low lights)
Same with me. I got my hair hi lighted in December. $160 and 2 weeks later it looked the same as before I went. I will try this hair color. It looks so pretty.
So with this product you achieve bleaching and colouring at the same time?
This product lifts very well. However, it will not have the same effect as bleaching. For those with very dark tones, bleach is still the way to go. The only way.
Hi, my blond colour tend to become little bit orange tone. Could you please repeat what do you recommend in this case, ash plus or violet? Thanks a lot

Use Igora Schwarzkopf 12.19 and 9% oxide.
What number of the hair dye did you use? The colors go: 10, 10 1/2, 10 1/2.1, 10.1 etc.
It's not a number, it's a special Majirel line, the High Lift line and the color is Ash Violet.
Just went to beauty supply and there is no Ash Violet. I asked the sales person too. There is Ash plus or Violet.

Does it damage your hair if you overlap it, like bleach does? Can it break off?
Not really
I usually use the majirel for 45mins to 1hour on my clients. Only on one client who is a level 7 I use it for only 35mins. Who told you to leave it on this short? What is your natural level? A 6 or a 5?
Her natural hair is probably a level 7 already.. you an tell she is not dark . Thats why she can reach that level

@@alicegoldenvalley no way, a natural level 4 and darker will only lift to an orange shade. Only bleach can lift to a blonde from a very dark level
@@alicegoldenvalley non-pro here but if i may... If i remember correctly, a high lift usually can lift up to 4 levels when used with a 40 volume and meant to be used on virgin hair. If your hair is virgin level 2, you could get up to level 6 with this if used correctly. I would recommend bleach if you want to go lighter than a level 6. Bleach has come along way and they is many tutorials if you want to do it at home which can save you money from going to a salon. Always do a strand test first though! Read what developer your hair lightener needs. I would use either a 20vol or 3o vol with bleach. Process for 45 min give or take, read the instructions and check every 10 mins and do not use heat. Be careful when you cover it, as heat can build when covered but you also dont want the bleach to dry on your hair. A water spray bottle is your best friend if uncovered
@@smatlove4 Yeah for a big shift you need a good quality professional lightener and use like 10vol peroxide because it works the longest, thus taking you very far with the least damage. Added benefit is the speed because when you do your own hair you really don't need fast working products.
you say that you are going to wash your hair, after only doing the roots...did you comb it through the rest of your hair, because the rest looks cooler, also? Thank you
Hi Nancy! When I washed my hair, I sort of washed the rest of my hair with the hair dye for a couple of minutes just for it to get the cooler tone and then shampooed everything.

doesn't bleach hair. uses 40 volume developer. Pros, please explain the chemistry behind that. I am very interested. I use Feria hyper platinum on my 7N natural hair. I then use the Feria Power Toner in Ice Blonde or Champagne. A few weeks later, I apply a L'oreal Gloss. Love this result, 2 years on, hair is in very good condition. Wait 8 weeks between processes, but would love to achieve it without hyper-platinum hi lift first step. Can it be done?💁🏼♀️
Words can be confusing sometimes but Peroxide IS a type of bleach. High lift color has a bit more ammonia than regular shades but the developer/Peroxide is what's responsible for the lift- Because the ammonia accelerates it's bleaching effect on the hair. If she used 10 volume it would've barely lifted and turned brassy.
Can't say for sure what your result would be so you should buy a high lift shade and do a strand test on your roots and see what happens.

Dans le cas majirel est une crème éclaircissante, l'utilisation de 30 et 40 volume est dangereux pour l'utilisation en contact direct avec la peau de la tête. Je préfère utilisé du 20 volume 😊

Hi. You can wear a platinum blonde but ash violet is not your color. You have a warm undertone and a pale golden blonde would be more flattering.
I'm only trying to be helpful. If you ever move to Mars, a beautician "meter maid" may give you a citation for that hair color which clashes with your natural coloring. If you accumulate say, 3 citations within a year, it may cost you a fine in Beauty Court. I'm here to educate, not to insult.
I don’t see anything wrong with her color. A mediocre hairstylist wouldn’t have been able to pull this…
