On the LX277 AWS model, you need to move a "control arm" out of the way to get the drive belt around the transmission pulley. (BTW, there are two different length belts depending on your tractor's serial number. One belt is 89.5" and the other belt is 91".) One end of the control arm sits in a hole in the frame just in front of the transmission. The other end is attached to the orange plastic parking brake handle. To move the control arm out of the way: 1) remove the pin that goes through the end of the control arm, 2) release the parking brake and pump the brake pedal a little to break free any rust on the control arm end, 3) take a small hammer and drive the end of the control arm up and out of the hole on the frame. That should do it ! To get the control arm end back in the frame hole after the new belt is on the transmission pulley, have another person push on the brake pedal a little to help you line up the control arm end with the frame hole. And remember to put the pin back in to secure the control arm end.
