- In 2019 we went back to Japan. Hungry for more after "Japan Without a Plan", we aimed to seek out AE86's, Street drifting, Kanjo culture, tuning shops and much more.
In this twelve-part special, we buy another van and travel up the east coast, documenting as much as we could, getting ourselves into some hilarious situations.
Enjoy our journey through Japanese car culture over the next few weeks. This one has been a long time coming.

The quality of the content on this channel is just outstanding. The passion of the guys for the Japanese car culture is so infectious.
Japan is just like some real life Redux or texture pack, where everything looks better. The scenery, the architecture, the take away shops, the random kei cars. Somehow Japan is just the prettiest country ever

As an Irish person, I did exactly this 19 hours on a plane than an 11-hour bus journey to Hiroshima back in 2015 and to be dropped at the train station at 9 am and no sleep in over 30ish hours was like buzzing until like 3pm and the heat and humidity got to me and it broke me. fell asleep in the cafe and then like an hour was back out buzzing its a weird place where energy never stops

this reminds me of my trip to japan with my sister 2018, after a day of being passenger to naoto suenaga d1 champ at Ebisu with drift taxi.
waiting under a tree near a rural train station near ebisu the local 7/11 owner asked us if we wanted a tour of the local castle, pointing to the mountain overlooking the small village with a clearing at the top. not sure if we should trust a stranger but reassured by this old mans friendly nature we hopped in his brand new 2019 prius and we used google translate to have actual conversations.
he told us about his trip to the USA in the late 60's and how people were very welcoming, and he felt compelled to offer a similar experience for me and my sister.
the people in japan really are the experience, kindness and respect the likes of which blow me away

29:20 that 86 has the green and yellow shield on the hood, it means “Beginner”. In Japan they require people have that on their car for 1 year after they get their license, which means that someone’s first car they grew up driving was an 86, how cool is that
