- We break down the cost of our Japan in a Van road trip, give you a few handy tips for embarking on a similar journey and explain what's coming next for the Juicebox channel.
In 2019 we went back to Japan. Hungry for more after "Japan Without a Plan", we aimed to seek out AE86's, Street drifting, Kanjo culture, tuning shops and much more.
In this twelve-part special, we buy another van and travel up the east coast, documenting as much as we could, getting ourselves into some hilarious situations.

6:07 THANK YOU for explaining that you need someone living in Japan to buy a car for you! So many people don’t know this.
Also people need to understand that you cannot legally use “slash plates” to just drive around, they’re temporary plates to move a car to a workshop
I’d like to genuinely thank you for taking the effort of producing this series. The combination of raw iPhone videos, beautiful b roll and the crisp footage in general combined with the background music leads to a super atmospheric documentary.
Possibly the most humble car guys out there having a blast without taking advantage of the whole RUclips game.

You don't need to do these kinds of trip/videos for Japan only.
You guys going to America for something cool, around Europe, Australia or whatever, would be just as cool. Your energy, passion and person is just great to watch, and the quality of the videos are just the icing on the cake.

I visited japan in 2019, went to car meets, the honda museum, seen Kanjo racers and made some friends in the car scene there who i still keep in contact with. I miss Japan ALOT one of the best holidays i was ever on. With Covid and the borders closed here in Australia and being from Ireland i have been doing it a bit a tough missing family etc.
For the last few weeks ive really looked forward to the JIAV videos. I made a ritual, every Friday after a long weeks work id sit down on the couch, with my dinner and a cup of barrys tea and immerse myself in each episode. It might be strange but this series really got me in the "feels". Excitement,nostalgia and longing to go on Adventures again...
I miss home and Japan. Thank you for brightening up these last few months. 💚💚💚

I spent a year in Okinawa Japan USMC.in 95 . I remember all the shops. UP GARAGE, was everywhere lol same music &announcements & all. THEBEST DOCUMENTARY OF ALL TIME 👍

I think what you fellas experienced are a bucket list for alot of us. It really felt like we were the 4 member of the trip. Very thankful that you were selfish to put this together for yourself because we wouldn't have invested our time on this.

I have finally just finished binge watching this whole series, all I want to say is "thank you" ! Thank you for sharing your trip in such an in depth docuseries, I can certainly appreciate the amount of time and hassle it would have been to edit this whole thing! Living the dream, with infectious passion for these mad Japanese cars and the associated culture, it was really "lovely" to see a lifechanging experience for a small group of friends in such detail. AND now they will live on in the internet.
Lastly I totally understand your point of this being a selfish act, I have just completed a car that I started work on 3 years ago, and I have been vlogging along the way for the same reason. Literally so I can watch it back in years to come to nerd out on some cool shit that I did once.
This is the best automotive doc related to ANYTHING like this, You have 100% Nothing to even apologize about, The outcome is on a level that's higher then most of the "Pros" out there, Every single release I would see your sub count going up only to wonder how its actually only 100K With a production worthy of millions.

I got the opportunity to go in 2009. From Seattle to Hawaii for 22 hours, to Japan for 8 days. I also blew my savings account, but agree 1,000%!! It was totally worth the memories and I would do it again in a heartbeat! So stoked to watch the series and catch up! Thanks for sharing the adventures!
Finally get to finish watching the last part, went through some shit right before you uploaded the part before this one. You did more than great! Sometimes you gotta make do with what you have! That series was by far my favorite this year, it did help with all the shit that has been going on since last year… thank you! You really brought us with you back in time! And Im glad you survived the time after! And also it was sorta like an rnd trip for distro, to tell yhe customers whats going on, despite the 2 year delay! Also, if you cannot provide every monday because you feel overwhelmed, just take your time off! Self care is more important than ever!

i genuinely didnt think anything bad about the audio. the past two days have literally been non-stop binging these videos. from start to finish. creating a documentary like this alone is a bucket list for me but also having it be on a car enthusiast paradise is like wow. im jealous but in a good way, more so happy that the dream is achievable and you did a seriously good job :) as soon as it comes out on DVD i'll be buying a copy without a doubt. not sure why youtube didnt notify me when the first episode got dropped a few months ago so hopefully i do now that ive had so much watch time on your channel. keep it up God bless brothaman
