The Worlds Greatest Honda Collection & Mountain Togue Battles | Japan in a Van Ep. 10

- Опубликовано: 6 июн 2021
- We visit the world's greatest Honda Collection at Twin Ring Motegi, have a chance encounter with Asimo, and get treated to Touge mountain racing with one of the original members of CSS.
In 2019 we went back to Japan. Hungry for more after "Japan Without a Plan", we aimed to seek out AE86's, Street drifting, Kanjo culture, tuning shops and much more.
In this twelve-part special, we buy another van and travel up the east coast, documenting as much as we could, getting ourselves into some hilarious situations.
Enjoy our journey through Japanese car culture over the next few weeks. This one has been a long time coming.

Juicebox mondays the best mondays
This is the best Japanese automative documentary series on RUclips by far. Best part of starting the week every week.
I will watch these for as long as they’re online
Even better than that JP I'm watching a new episode out on my birthday, happy birthday to me 🤣💯👌
Check out the outsiders video from driftworks, that's amazing as well
@@ciartdsfa4899 happy birthday dude, have a good one
@@ciartdsfa4899 aye right on....nice little present birthday man
@@Matty.Hill_87 cheers m8😎
"He wasn't actually racing with my Father..." hahaha pure gold as usual!
😂😂
Best series on RUclips 🤙
Word
100pc agree lad
💯
🍻🍻
Another Masterpiece Gents, This is the most underrated thing on RUclips and also my favorite. I look forward to every Monday, just for juicebox.
🍻🍻
Something happened inside me when the Gran Turismo music played. Think I traveled to another place! Can’t believe there is only 1 episode left. This better all end up on a dvd with bonus outtakes.
I'd definitely have a boxset of these with extra content if it also means helping out the lads make more content
Cheers man hope you enjoyed the rest of them
@@juiceboxforyou I absolutely loved them! Thank you so much Neil, can't wait for what's to come!
11:19 holy shit it's the beer can skyline
11:20 Heeey, that´s Beercan R32 from Alexi :D
so grateful for you guys being able to do this trip and doing these vids!
This is the next best thing to experiencing it for yourself
y para cuando vas a ir vos?
@@aspi1379 cuando pueda ir y gastarme muchisimo dinero jajaja
🍻🍻
I lost it at Cobby Webu lol 18:26
😂😂
11:21 noriyaro's beercan!
This should be a weekly thing forever 😍
ikr? lads should just move to japan and do this forever, i would!
Id love that!
This channel deserves a lot more exposure!
8:40 That side exit exhaust on the 'ol bosca
Honda has a more insane heritage collection. Priceless.
Should we just start a go fund me to send you all back so the series dosnt end.
Forgot about your 86
I'm in for this 😂
We could go fund me to send the 86 over to Japa to join him
ill be down for this tbh
Haha 100% going back once the world opens up again.
This whole series needs more attention it's absolutely brilliant so authentic love it lads from Dublin 🇮🇪
Much appreciated man 🍻
That GT Honda dealership music is just pure nostalgia.
Glad you enjoyed that choice.
lmao all the cricketing on the first touge run thats sick
I know you said that the footage of the grip togue doesn't look fast, but I trust there's plenty of us out here in comment land that raced around our local B roads night after night after night in our first few cars that can tell just how much that S2000 and the Colt for that matter were shifting.
Speed on a b road is a whole different ball game, taking a corner at 60 feels like you're going 100
Glad the footage gave that sense of speed
The Honda Collection Hall is on my bucket list definitely a pilgrimage for any Honda junkie. Unfortunately Asimo is being retired this year.
11:16 a tuned peugeot 205 in Japan xD
They have everything lol
'Will swap for deejul'!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
When that GT theme song comes on at 8:32, the feels... loving the series!!!
❤️❤️
I am Japanese living in Tokyo, but I am jealous of how much you you guys are enjoying this trip in van.
I really appreciate that ❤️
That robot is still functional? Wow!
I'm still not convinced that it isn't a person in a suit 🤣🤣
@@Matty.Hill_87 🤣🤣
"back in the day when racing was racing and men were men"
😂😂
It's true though. F1 and co were much more interesting then, without the tons and tons of regulations. Also the "DTM" was insane in the 80s/90s. It was harsh, there's been contact. Rough contact. And now? Meh.
You guys did a great job with this series it's amazing 🙏👍👍 the Gran Turismo music was on point hahaha
Had to be done!
im very sad that these guys dont have social media, because i would love to follow every single one of them. but then again at the same time i am very happy for them and completely respect them for not caring at all and just enjoying life atm in real time.
this serie is one of a kind ... wow you guys did a great job
Much appreciated man
Just when you think there cant be anymore to show Japan says hold my beer.
🍻🍻
11:20 ayy I know that beer can
the cinematography of this vid is just stunning
Really appreciate that man cheers 🍻
Man the touge runs, Initial D definitely exaggerates the ambient lighting in their races, I'd be right shitting my pants driving like that on an actual mountain pass lmao
When you think about how so much of the Japanese car culture owes its roots to the 1950s to 1970s car scene in the US, but made it their own. Imagine the muscle car enthusiasts in Japan going to a car show in America, where so many classics are now arriving in trailers to keep the miles off em and no one will risk their 1967 Shelby GT500 on a drag strip. Itll be just standing around listening to surfer music, wearing Tommy Bahama, boat shoes, beige shorts and staring at roped off mortgage level cars. I used to think I will always get to go watch the drag races or vintage race car exhibition events... but they're disappearing quick!
These guys have the right idea... "enjoy." while it's still there, thankfully filmed... and gratefully watched by us!!
Yep well spotted, the Japanese stuff is our generation of hot rodding, would have loved seeing the American stuff in its heyday, that scene was my first love until I found the Japanese stuff, then I was doomed forever.
Stunning. Thank you for making the Monday Evening enjoyable.
Thanks 👍👍👍 This is such a great series.
Funny, interesting, exciting... one more episode of passion. God bless you all!
Another epic adventure. Laughed so hard with this one
another great video guys! aswell as this series is amazing im also looking forward to seeing you guys back in the shed with the 86, but keep up the good work guys!

Just watching this series for the 4th time. Honestly this piece of brilliance will be watched for many years to come. Catching a moment in time on every episode. 👌
Very inspiring series. Love the vids!

Another fantastic episode, the footage is sooo raw i love it. Thanks for all the effort you put in Neil you’re creating some of the best content I’ve seen on this site

Fab vid boys, seeing those gems in the Collection Hall really make me want to keep all my jdm stuff looking minty and OEM 🤤
Keep it up guys! I love this kind of exposure about the JDM scene. Since I'm one of JDM car fan. And I'm using one.
Thank you for making my monday better every week guys
Such a great video as always ! Can't wait to see the rest of the CSS team next week
🍻🍻
Absolute legends
OH MY GOD! CSS BOYS! Can't wait for the next episode!

Those gran tourismo vibes 🥰
Fantastic series, I dont want it to end !
Cheers Matt
Best mini doc ive seen on You Tube! Class.
Nice one Sean, glad you enjoyed it man
The Japanese are the best engineers in the world. Stunning.
Once again, loving it all. Man I liked hondas, now I love hondas and I really want one.
Great video taking!
Pure quality
The mad thing is sometimes i drift off watching a vid and think about bullshit. I just took a swig of me beer and had to go back 10secs because i missed 4secs of the Honda museum 🤣 THANKS AGAIN LADS, fucking love this series 👊👊👊
It was the gran turismo music for me man. Sooo many memories. Keep it coming
Unreal content lads. Seriously top notch
Cheers man ❤️
that colt was going hard! Another amazing video!
100%, made me really appreciate that chassis.
Those bikes in the Honda museum are mind blowing!!!! amazing work as always guys please make this series last forever
I wish we could man! Deffo planning our next trip back as soon as.
This series is so pure and cool. Love From the USA.
Appreciate it Henry, Cheers for the kind words 🍻
love what your doing with these videos!!
🍻🍻
Hands down best series !
Much appreciated Nico
Fantastic 😎
Class again lads 👏
🍻🍻
YES HERE IT IS
Thank you
Amazing content, but truly excellent editing. That's usually true with your videos, but this one just clicks. The amount of work in all of that is impressive, and love that you're playing with it.
I really appreciate that man, cheers
GT1 garage music was a nice touch indeed. I gotta go there.
That #14 Mooncraft Racing JACCS Accord driven by Naoki Hattori is a legend car for me.
I designed my first piece of bodywork to fit my first car from the front splitter of that race car.
I've always loved that pattern Enkei ten spoke wheel, especially on lowered Hondas, gives it that JTCC or BTCC look I love.
That 1995 Team Kunimitsu HONDA NSX GTLM race car I always used that car on SSR11 in GT1, such a great course and a great car.
Cheers Steve 🍻 felt it was the only choice
Happogohara!! So excited to see that coming, I've been there as well
What a spot!
The teaser at the end ive seen that spot drifted in so many vids over the years can’t wait to see the uphill right bend with the big wall in the back!!
Give us more of THIS !!!
Fantastic piece of cinema! You guys were really living the dream :)
Glad you enjoyed it Jared
such a nice video
Cheers guys, still loving the series. This episode made me miss my old s2000 so much. Just like the guy in this video it was an addiction to take that car out on the back lanes every night. Yea we are burning the candle at both ends but as long as you take the jdm car you bought and do what it was designed to do and not just park it up, I feel like your doing your part to keep it all going.
Yeah man!
The quality of these vids are actually unbelievable. Some job Neil !!
❤️❤️
Laughed my ballix off at the clean sills on the EK9 lol
Came back just in time from work just to watch this. Cheers lads 👍
🍻🍻
Keep them coming lads! Best bit of Mondays!
10:07 Windowlicker in the background makes me happy I'm not the only weird fuck listening to the twin
Haha gotta have Aphex twin on the playlist
@@juiceboxforyou Always haha
Long time sub - this series is so well done. how on earth are you not on more followers is beyond me!
Appreciate that Paul 🍻
Man, reminds me of my visit to the BMW Museum in Munich. Just awe-inspiring.
Would love to visit that place someday.
Another cracking good episode. The Honda Museum is definitely on my list of places to visit as well, there's just SO much history in that building!
Also I think I spotted a slightly famous r32 at Ebisu... the front light bar tipped me off in a hurry :D
Love the touge adventures as well, wish I could be there!
Highlight of my week lads, thanks again for all this mad footage
Always appreciate the kind words man 🍻
I was itching all the way through the touge scenes!
😂😂
Highlight of my monday, every monday 👌
You guys did such a great job with the music choices and where you used it.
❤️❤️
Japanese people are just tossing away legendary JDM and racing legends while the rest of the world is craving them. Makes me want to visit Japan just for it.
5:38 my aunt owned an old Accord Coupe like this when i was a kid, loved the sound of it.. rip
Best mondays
i wish i could get one of these videos every week, for the rest of my days, u guys are smashing it
I wish I could make them for another six months 🍻
@@juiceboxforyou now that the last episode is out, i can just say im blown away by all the stuff you showed us in these videos. Im really excited to go over these someday and find the same Details again. For example in the last episode, there is a shot of an rb with some waterjets in the front to cool down what i think is the oil cooler. I super geeked out about it for a moment, and all episodes had that. Just amazing stuff.
