I can't think of another person who deserves all the happiness this car brings as much as you do. Well done to you Neil and to everyone who worked on the car. I'm genuinely telling the truth when I say this is the best AE86 anyone has ever built.
Christ, I'm 37 and was fighting back tears for the last 10 minutes of that. Been here from the start and what a journey. Congrats man. End of Chapter One.
You’ve come such a long way with this car. I bet most people would have stripped the car, get overwhelmed by the scale of the project then give up but not y’all! You’ve inspired me to restore my dream car (eventually lol). I bet every second of labour was worth it. Congratulations!
@@DC2_Danny@DC2_Danny Haha, I thought you were Danny from the UK my bad you have very similar usernames! Either way cheers for the kind words man hopefully all the nonsense we've done on the channel can help to inspire you in some shape or form!
It's quite poetic that the shots of when you first got the AE86 were in mist. And now it's complete, the mist has faded, the sun is shining, you've reached the end of an incredible journey with this car. Cherish it always!
The last few minutes describe pure passion and obsession. Why not chase after the things you want the most ! Thats living . Not many really get to say they achieved a dream of theirs ! You achieved it and created memories that will last a lifetime.
It’s like getting to the end of a video game back in day, credits roll and you don’t know wtf to do…cry or start again. Guess it’s time to go collect any remaining little collectibles and tick off all the pointless side missions. Take a bow Neil 👏🏻👏🏻
Seeing an enthusiast that's completed a goal is so much more satisfying than seeing another youtuber dump money into their "dream car" just to then give it away two years later. Great job and I cant wait to see what you do next
This is truly a "It's not about the destination.. it's about the journey" build. The majority of us aren't sponsored and don't have access to crazy amounts of money like other youtuber's. Congrats Neil. It's been one hell of a ride.
The 7 years to get to this point have been absolutely unreal. Reuben’s fires, spidey cunts, Barry’s fuck off’s the lot. This isn’t only a restored car it’s a representation of camaraderie. Every story that came from each video, Japan without a plan the whole LOT! It’s been absolutely fantastic from start to finish and I thank you for keeping it going. 'theres so many people that have the same stories that don't document them and don't put them on the internet' is the best quote out of this. I am so so happy for you man. I just got my car out of rust restoration two weeks ago and it feels amazing. Hopefully one day I get to say that I stuck to it and I was stubborn to get what I wanted like you did. Have fun with it, you have a lot more memories to make with this beautiful dream come true.
Never thought I would get a little emotional because some dude pulled an economy car out of a bush 7 years ago but hey, here we are. This car is perfection, good job mate

Not gonna lie, I teared up a little with what you said about all the stories you have with your friends and that car. It's been a privilege to be a part of this journey and just sharing the passion for these cars and all the love people put into them.
beautiful view after so many years, I've been watching every episode for 7 years, greetings from Poland and may the car serve you for the rest of your life❤
Never felt so proud of the accomplishment of someone I've never met. Between this and Japan in a van, the most genuine stuff on the interwebs. Keep it up lad!
It's a strange feeling because I remember when I started watching Your videos on RUclips in elementary school. And now Your 86 is restored, and Your dream has come true. Congratulations, bro!
Anyone else fighting back a tear or 2 watching this? So happy you got it finished Neil and have loved watching it come together over the years! Go and enjoy it lad! You’ve earned it!
My old neighbour was given a super smashed up 1930s something or other he was restoring by hand, by himself. He'd spend an hour or so most nights with hammer and dolly and torch and lead beating all the louvres and curves. He spent 23 years restoring this car. He was 78 when he finished. He always said he didn't care if he finished or not, he just found it therapeutic and said it was healthier than TV! I went to see him for the first drive. He laterally turned the last bolt innthe bumper, hopked up the battery, drove it around the block, then put it under a cover and never looked at it again. Lol
NUJABES MENTIONED AT 8:40!!! That depth of field shot with flip in front of the car at 15:10 is so immaculate. Just wow. Just wow. When you mentioned beautiful weather with all the birds, the golden hour, the blooms in the back. You can't beat an unveil as down to earth as this. Just so good. So, so good.
I also documented by dream of building something cool, but nobody watched it really, though that was never really the expectation, I just watch back the memories that the journey created :) So happy to share this journey, been watching since 2020, a joyous moment indeed. Love it.
I'm turning 31 in two days... still can't believe it's been 7 years. I so much admire your passion and determination to complete the car Neil. Stoked for you dude.
I think, really Neil you and this channel are the epitome of car culture. It’s not about who’s the fastest, or who’s the got the most money, or who has a stage 1000 map. It’s just some mates cocking about in a shed and building cool shit. You yourself show enthusiasm, interest and kindness when it comes to cars and car culture. We’ve messaged a few times on instagram when I had my S14 and even back then I was like holy shit this guy is on RUclips and is really busy and has taken the time to reply to me and no doubt many others sharing the same hobby. It’s been a long 7 years of building your car - aside from covid where that shot by, but now it’s time to enjoy it. Do some rings when she’s bedded in and just go out and fuckin enjoy it. Been here since episode one and will be here until you stop doing this. Thanks for Monday night entertainment and I look forward to seeing what you do in the future! :)
As a bloke with a Corolla that was on starsharks as yours is now, that I’ve now stripped to a bare shell as you did 7 years ago, I’m excited to start the same process and build memories as you have along the way. It’s wild that I can remember watching the first videos as they came out and 7 years later I feel joy alongside a complete stranger as if he was my mate. Stoked for you mate, what a fucking gorgeous car.
There are very few moments that make me cry but this is one of them that does make me cry. Even though it may not be something I have been physically part of, I can always say that I have been mentally here for this journey. I am glad to see you finish the car.
Ah man the feelings that this video brought is insane! What a journey this build has been I’m so glad that it’s finished and you have that dream car that you’ve always wanted but also sad to see it come to an end. Thankyou guys for this series it’s been an absolute pleasure to watch for everyone this is the build you show anyone who asks what car culture is. Congrats guys you killed it!
Black and bronze! Edit, coming from an Australian you should slap a turbo on it...so sweet. Top work man! Found this channel a year into the build and loved every episode!
15:30 I'll just say it once again as I said that in other videos. That's why me and (I guess) others are here. You're just sharing your thoughts, emotions and explaines your journey. Drove not to same nice fancy scenery to unveil your car. You drove it to place that ment something to you and you explained it straight forward. There wasn't anything more needed to add. That nice weather with sun, which was going down, was just a cherry on top.
I remember stumbling along the channel when you guys found the car, cannot believe how time flies. Have always enjoyed the videos and always waited for the next one. Well done lads
I honestly can't believe that it's been nearly 10 years now since y'all saved this 86 from the field and took over 7 FREAKING YEARS JUST TO RESTORE!!!!!!! crazy And to think I was in middle school when y'all got it and here I am 7 years later who graduated from highschool and im now working a part time job
I'm so proud of too for sticking with it! It brings tears to my eyes to see it done and when you were showing the pictures of when you first got give me chills! I'm very happy for you! It shows the hard work you and all of your friends have put into it
I would have never even thought to paint the wheels red, but that accents the car perfectly with the seats and the redline. It’s beautiful, man. You’ve done a solid job.
Buzzin for ye Neil, was great to finally see the car in person. Don’t know you personally but you deserve it man. Long 7 years, have been in Ireland, over to Canada and back again in that time. Always hanging out for the videos every Monday. Been saving for Impreza GC8 STI coupe for years and ready to pull the trigger now before summer, hopefully bump into you on the road / meet. Big up the Juicebox lads, can’t wait to see what’s next!
Looks incredible. The shots at the end look like in Gran Turismo 7 where you can put your ingame car into realistic looking places. Can't wait to see you driving and enjoying it now

Congratulations Neil and all the people that helped along the way! You should be proud of yourselves. Beautiful sentiment as well, it's not just a car. Its an amalgamation of every single experience and memory of the past 7 years and that's the true value of your experience and the audience experience too. Thanks for sharing, congrats again!
thanks for documenting the whole story neil, its a textbook example of what makes cars more than just rusty bits of metal - the 'chase' really is something worth doing
We are finally here boys, I remember the first vlog appearing in my RUclips sidebar ages ago, and wondering if this was indeed THE juicebox, my favourite car blog now in video format. We've come a long way from the sorry purple spider home that was pulled out of a bush all those years ago. I am so happy for you Neil!
Simply worth all these videos from day 1 not a single regret watching them all to see this car finished with such style is just amazing well done and thanks for the journey
Can't believe the journey we have all been on following this restoration for the past 7 years, honestly cant describe how happy I am for you Neil. Hats off to sticking it through to the end and bringing your dream to reality... she is stunning!! Wishing you many many safe km's :)
Watched you for yours Neil and bloody hell man what an absolutely incredible build and story to tell about it. Can't thank you so much for taking us on the journey. Congratulations brother.
Man, this video showed us all that good things take time and the most importing thing about "material things" is the memories of the journey we had fron the start to finish. It´s like a huge trip where you travel from point A to point B, the travel it´s what really matters, not the "finish". Watched all your videos since the begging and seeing your smile while you look at the car after all those years of struggle and process to get here is inspiring to say the least. Can´t wait to see more videos man! Grettings from Portugal 🇵🇹 .
So proud for you and the guys I remember the first episodes and even when you wasn't sure if you would keep making the videos but you just kept to it the commitment to not giving up even at the hardest. Well on you man. I'm the guy that once upon a time sent you a msg about Peugeot 106 rallye S1. I ended up doing a similar project took me 2 years and I only got to use it for a year before it got totalled. Still love that shit box but I have a family now and the struggle for time is real.
You've managed to make some us feel like we've been building a project with you for 7 years. And now to see a never ending project being complete, it's just a heaven most of us dream about. Thank you for that and we're so stoked to hear your words of passion and obsession we all know all too well!
i cannot stress you enough on how speechless i am to finally see this moment, i’ve followed your build ever since i stumbled on your first Unboxed videos 7 years ago, and ever since, i’ve went through a lot of changes, and yet this build stayed in a very comfortable spot for me, and it always was a pleasure to come back to and enjoy the journey you and the boys there have done, and to finally see it done, i can only say thanks Neil, and make sure to enjoy it with all your might mate :)
Yes!!!!!! Amazing journey man, been here from the start, you, Reuben, rings, random buses, the JDM distro hauls, and this 86 as a constant. You deserve this, great bunch of lads around you all chipping in, end result is simply stunning. 👍🏻
I feel as if you're one of the only youtubers most people building cars can directly relate to, I hope more people stumble upon this build because its such an inspirational one!
I am so stoked for you! She is the perfect 86. I have followed this build since day one, and your videos have been something to look forward to while the world has been losing its mind over the last 7 years. This has been one hell of a journey. I look forward to seeing what you decide to build next. I am genuinely emotional from watching this video.
I can't believe it's been that long. It's gone by so fast. I've watched from the beginning and truly have seen you create so many fun memories because this car brought your friends together. I'm proud to be part of this journey, even only as someone watching in Las Vegas.
Mate you deserve this piece of art more than anyone else, I’ve been here with you since day one, dragging this gem out of a bush to where it is now is a huge statement to the car scene friends or strangers in one community (or a shed) that shares one passion…Saving the best era of cars and keeping them alive, a huge thank you for the many hours of entertainment you and your friends provided over the years, all you need to do is enjoy it the car also deserves it, Rings lad! Oh and where is Ruben??? ❤
I'm never been more happy for someone I've never met, buzzing for ya man. As a irish man that's one "cam" I wouldn't be upset about never seeing it do rings lad
Seeing the word complete on your title is surreal. I've been watching since the 2nd episode when you were checking out the car after you bought it and my brain cant comprehend that the build is "done" (we know cars are never done but your vision is complete). I still remember the dead end and the sense of despair from the lockdown days, and the year-late vids. Im glad you feel great about the final product and very much enjoyed watching the progress, like a fly on the shed wall. Now its time for the first rings! 😁😁
Thanks for a great video series and a great channel. I almost had a tear myself to see it done. Congratulations. I think you need to get that EK back now.
I've been watching your videos since the channel started. Together with you, I was worried about what would become of the little Toyota. I'm happy with you and have a lot of fun in the car ☺. Greetings from Hungary !
One of the most 'real' stories of a grassroots car restoration ever documented. Welldone Neil seriously, so stoked for you. Huge inspiration.
I argee, 100%!!!
Not one of the most real but the realest

Remove the paint where the wheels nuts seat, otherwise they will loosen and you will loose a wheel or crash.
Be careful,it's dangerous.

You are an inspiration. Well done. Speaking for all of us with projects and goals!! Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤
Looks absolutely class probably the nicest 86 ive ever seen lad It was a pleasure watching the progress
A peaceful picturesque ending to such an amazing story!
Lets face it, the story it just beginning!
I'm proud to be part of this journey, even only as someone watching in Las Vegas.
fuckin insane man. came out perfect
Well done to all involved. It is incredible.
its fucking gorgeous
Mate you deserve this piece of art more than anyone else, I’ve been here with you since day one, dragging this gem out of a bush to where it is now is a huge statement to the car scene friends or strangers in one community (or a shed) that shares one passion…Saving the best era of cars and keeping them alive, a huge thank you for the many hours of entertainment you and your friends provided over the years, all you need to do is enjoy it the car also deserves it, Rings lad! Oh and where is Ruben??? ❤
What a monumental journey it's been. Congratulations Neil!
Yes Neil! Can’t believe this is done! Proud of you mate and you’ve got some quality friends round about you.
Happy driving big man 👍🏻
What a beautiful piece of machinery i was totally star struck on sunday and just stood one side and absorbed the atmosphere
Congrats bud, really really enjoyed watching this journey, excited to see what's next
