Talking to Barry at Japfest, I asked him if Neil’s going to do a hot lap around Mondello in the 86. He told me to fuck off. I can die happy 😂
hahaha lol
Need to get him to sign a Tig Welder with the Fuck off and frame it
😂😂😂
Same I can die Happy too😂😂😂
Gapfescht?
RUclips is full of channels that build cars. Most of them are tailored to modern peoples minds: Fast building, expensive flashy parts for the thumbnail..the same thing every few weeks. Perfect for a brain that can barely concentrate for more than 10 seconds.
Your channel is different Neil. It is realistic and the videos are worth the wait. You go way deeper with the stories. That is something I appreciate alot. Of course it would have been cool to see the AE86 progress way quicker. But the wait over the years as a follower made the journey overall way more enjoyable. Sometimes really good stuff just takes time. I guess I learned the lessons throughout the build. Thanks.
Very true, and the slower pace is great, you get to learn a lot of stuff or maybe even improve on something you do yourself!
And the atmosphere of the videos is genuine, not forced smiles like most.
It's the most passionately built car on RUclips. Once again big W for Neil and whole Juicebox crew 👏
Juicebox is one of those real channels with pure, non-commercialized content to enjoy. Best of luck with new projects, always waiting for new episodes. I have been watching AE86 episodes since the beginning, great to see it finally finished!
I've said it a thousand times, but this channel is criminally underrated.
It deserves a million subs. It's been a trip watching the 86 progress over the years. Excited too see what's next for the lads.
All I can say in terms of suggestions, is keep doing what you’re doing. Your approach, story telling, shenanigans, and everything else is what has kept everyone coming back to the channel. Looking forward to the future projects!
There’s so many great elements to the channel - the Twincam build, the messing in the shed, the visits to other lads, Japan, nerding out on parts rare or otherwise, the honesty, the normality, the efforts of many people to help when it’s needed - it all comes together so well. It’s very relatable and I’m glad to hear your future plans. Fair play to you for doing it in the first place (I’m sure many people gave you the “sure you can’t do that”) and for stepping into the full time gig too, not an easy decision I’m sure. Bit of inspiration to the rest of us to get into the shed and get the finger out 👍👍👍
"Just the boys, hanging out, building cars"
If every video hits this quality metric, you have your self a continued successful career. So proud of you!
I would like to see you progress as a drifter/racer. See some of the lads projects.
Deffo is something I'd like to do more of! Need to feature a few of the lads cars that are on the list too
Towing it with a wagon is making my palms sweat lmao
Caught some Irish sun lad 😂
Bro I’ve been building a classic Mustang for 9 years and I love your story. Keep doing the obscure throwback Japan/ drift culture stuff, it’s so cool. Congrats on “finishing” your car
You and the crew have restored an absolute beauty. Years and god knows how many dollars and scouring across several continents for parts... It's genuinely inspiring. Really, really appreciate you taking the time to film this throughout the years- and please, if it still brings you joy, show us this baby on the road for as many years or longer!
Okay hear me out. A classic mini but done based on the shops from Japan… the classic mini culture in Japan is incredible.
The ones with the balloon tire 10-inch dished wheels always give me semis lmao.
@@possibly8180yesss 10s are the way to go
Ooohh! New JB! Much excite!
I've seen the whole journey of your AE86 from start to finish, and it's still an incredible story. Heck even seeing other hidden sheds with hidden JDM gems is so amazing to see, and you deserve all the thanks for your fantastic work.
Also, the AE86's wheels with the red paint are just astonishingly gorgeous!
Let's go! Civic and Silvia! Always look forward to a awesome documentary build and more Japan in a van. More information and history the better , keep going !
Would love to see what you'll do with a EK hatch. Also shed tours! Maybe outside of Ireland too?
Having Ueos blessing is beyond cool I will be following along as you’re documenting the history you’re keeping alive and making, top stuff ye and all the lads cheers
Never finished project, waxing, cleaning, modifying and spending 100's of hours working on them....sounds exactly like my pinball machines
I remember watching the video of you pulling the car out of the hedge, with the lads. I told all of my friends about it and we’ve bonded over the videos ever since.
I know I have no right to be, as I don’t know you, but I feel super proud of you that you’ve built the car to the standard you have. Thanks for the last 7 years of entertainment. Very excited for the next 7!!! Keep on living the dream lad!
Sick video man!
My heart paused for a minute when you said you wanted to build a Type R :D would be sick to see an EK9 or a DC2!
And wait, you have an 86 in japan whatttt??? Can´t wait for more videos man!!!
That episode you done digging into the history of your 86 was unreal!
Hopefully restocking merch is next
I’m here for what’s next. But you should consider cutting a full 2 hour documentary on the 86 build… that’d be sick
Genuinely my favourite build on RUclips, your attention to detail is second to none. What an epic journey it's been ❤
As a 90s Honda nut I personally can't wait to see the civic build! I'm sure everyone will be excited for more merch too... maybe the T shirts could be more of a heavyweight cotton and not such a slim fit next time round :)
Started watching the 86 build when I was in first year school when I was 13 now Im 20 and in second year mechanical engineering! Wait the worth Neil !!
Excited for the Honda content! A feature of my EK build on your channel would be peak life goals 😂
Been watching for the last 7 years haven't missed 1 vlog and I intend on watching for as long as you keep posting. Looking forward to what your going to bring in the future. Keep up the good work Neil, I always loom forward to the videos ❤❤
All i can say is id love to see a series where you ship the 86 to Japan for the AE86 Festival in 2024!! 🤘 also a TYPE R resto would be awesome!
I just wanted to say congratulations on finally getting this car on the road. I have been following this journey since I was in grade 12 and now I am almost 24. Watching you basically finish your dream car is amazing and a very heartfelt moment and it must feel amazing. I hope to experience building my own dream car one day. I look forward to seeing what you do next with this vehicle. Cheers.
I just rediscovered your channel! I can't believe how far the 86 has come since I last saw it YEARS ago. Back then the 86 was literally still in it's rust form and something about it having a spider infestation Now it's complete and it looks absolutely stunning. Cheers🥂
Definately deserved the award for saving an AE86 from rotting in a bush, and turning it into this JDM machine, all the time and skills needed to do all this cant be underestimated.
When this series started, I was in a very different point of my life, a completely different person even. Many ups and downs were had.
Seeing this series come to an end is a very strange feeling, but somehow motivating.
Congrats, Neil! I hope you enjoy it.
Crazy he complimented the car thats amazing. And I'm super excited to see you build a s-chassis.
This makes me incredibly happy for you Neil. Congratulations again. ❤
Wow man just wow , thank you for the past 7 years and more to come 😅.
Cant wait to see more builds but i think what you were saying about diving into the history is something not many other people can do as well as you. I love learning About different drift crews or parts companies ive never heard of .
Seriously neil you're a big inspiration cant wait to meet one day x
Excited to follow along this new chapter! Authenticity is scarce on youtube but you, Neil and juicebox as a whole has allways felt relatable and familiar.
Really want to support but can't commit to a patreon. Please bring back merch shop!!!! Would love to pick up the "Club" emerald style t-shirt + a nostalgic hoodie + some stickers for the whip.
7 YEARS OF RIIIINGS LAADS!
lets goooooooo!!!! ive been waiting for this eps for years now! love the story you have told with this car!
An absolute pleasure getting to see the car in person and have a quick chat! Keep doing what you're doing as long as you love it!
The only reason I have a Patreon is to support Juicebox. Juicebox has been such a huge fucking influence on the past 7 Years of my life, that I even can’t imagine life without it by now.
I don’t think that the 86 is what shapes the fun factor of the videos, I just think that we may have found the most honest channel of a Guy just doing what he likes. Make whatever Neil, It will always be interesting!
Looking forward for Japan with a Plan 🫡
Cant wait for the new Japan with a plan series! I would also like to see the gatebill revisited by you and the boys, that was a fun one to watch.
Looking forward to the future of juicebox. Your an incredible storyteller, the style and the pace of this video feels so much like the videos that got me interested in watching the channel and looking forward to each new one. The friends and other characters that you bring to our home half a world away brings a bit of delight into my heart every time. ✌️
So happy you've documented the process. I've been a fan for years now and really enjoy the content. You've inspired me to finally build my garage so I can work on my KE70 again 😂❤ Thanks Neil, you're a legend!
My favorite 86 I've seen on the internet. Shop's SOLD OUT. Needs a restock to help support the Channel
Looking forward to see the ke and what you do next . The 86 really has turned out incredible
It's been such a wild ride and then seeing it in person surreal, she's a true credit to you & the team Neil!
7:31 Reminds me of going to Rally's when younger 😊
Keep doing what you're doing Neil! Got a bunch of cool homies around you and that's key to keeping things pushing! Everybody feeding off of everybody is the recipe for success! Keep these builds coming can't wait for the next one! Peace, best of luck bro Aloha from Hawai'i! 🤙🏾
Well done laaaad!
Newer subscriber here, absolutely LOVING your content!! You could honestly do daily vlogs and I’ll happily watch!
You’re incredible at story telling, I normally can’t sit through a talking video but the way you edit and create videos is mesmerizing!
This is really what cars are about. Building something that you've envisioned and something thats for you not others.
love it man whatever you do with the new projects we will be watching from Aruba
you can see the pure joy that everyone that put a hand to that car has , means alot to alot of people , well done again
Such a legend bro, could listen to you chat cars all day
It’s been fab to follow along with this build. I can’t begin to explain how much I enjoyed being a fly on the wall during the whole process, antics and distractions included! It has definitely reignited my own childhood passion for cars that I thought I lost.
I popped down to Mondello just to see it unveiled at Japfest! What a great day! I’m already looking forward to next year!
Thanks for taking the time to chat that day! It was great to hear your genuine enthusiasm and passion for what you’re doing in person!
It was quite a surprise to see my own ugly mug appear in the video at 10:04 probably burning the ear off you like so many others that day!
Keep the content coming! Also… great air fresheners, 10/10, would recommend! Delighted with all the merch I got!
Been watching since the first episode. I was 12 or 13. I’m now nearly 20. Good shit. Love from nz❤
So good to see it finished. Can’t tell you how disappointing it’s been over the years to see some amazing builds fizzle out or not get finished on forums, RUclips channels are great to see projects that get done quickly, albeit with a tonne on money thrown at it, but this is truly something special, your dedication to history, detail, nerding out and distractions has made this easily the best content I’ve watched on RUclips. I started watching in 2019 and have watched every video you’ve made, even took some inspiration from your Japan series when I went to visit in January, and it’s so satisfying to see the 86 complete, I can’t even imagine how buzzing you are for it. Thankyou so much for documenting it, I can’t wait to see what comes next with the channel
Have to say it has been a good 7 years and i will continue to watch as new projects come along.. neil it is definetly a passion with the 86.s i have mine 13 years in sept and am still putting money into it. Between itb conversion.. full stainless exhaust system.. and new colour after corolla day in sept.. its something that you enjoy doing. Even more as you get older...👍
Recognition from the community and one of your idols is something to be celebrated and something that cannot be bought. You sacrificed a lot to build your dream. Enjoy it, you earned it.
Looking forward to seeing what the future brings
Looking forward to more builds, mostly the Jimny! Always a laugh to be had out of them
It's weird after such a long 7 years to see a new chapter on juicebox, I feels like when the 86 is finished so is juicebox itself but I'm very glad we'll have alot more absolute passion driven videos and projects with down to earth lads.
I would love to see more random shed shenanigans. Your earlier videos when you were just getting together every weekend, working on each others cars then bbq and random rings lad were the most entertaining and relatable to me!
Very happy for you to have achieved your dream with the 86, well done Neil 👏
Congrats man!
ive been following since unboxed episode 1, its been the highlight of the week for a 6 years now to sit down of a monday evening with a cup of tea and watch juicebox. since then i also have a black trueno (ae111) with a cool story of driving around the country buying parts and cutting some up in a field in the backarse of nowhere and know the misery of it all. Thank you and keep it up
Keep on pushing!!!
Well done 👏
Fantastic. So much Passion and what Results. Unparalleled 👍👍💯💯👏👏👏👏
Thank you and Congratulations Neil
Looking forward to what's next!
So excited to see where you go from now, also so happy to see your vision come to life it looks absolutely amazing, ive been keeping up with you for many years and love seeing and watching all of your vids, cant wait for whats to come, thank you Neil your a legend 👌🤟
I miss Reuben and hope he's OK. Pass on my best to him if you speak to him. Regarding the channel I love the idea of featuring some of the "unknown" builds. I spent 3 years doing my Cappuccino and barely took any pictures but I built it using the best parts I could get from Japan, new and old. Its still not really "finished" but I love it. Car history in Japan is also a big thing to me, I've spent hours and hours trying to track down history of my C33 in Japan. I bought it in 2017 but managed to trace it back on Google maps to 2010, spoke to an old owner who had it in 2013 and he sent me pics of it parked up at Fuji Speedway. From that I scoured hours and hours of RUclips videos looking for it on track and never succeeded but I did manage to find a couple of clips of it in the car park. I'm still hoping one day I'll find more info.
My s110 Silvia was my 86 that you've just invested so much time into! I appreciate you and the channel mate! Much love from NZ!
I remember seeing the first video of pulling the 86 out the bush. I was in a lecture hall in collage and this was the first time I clicked in a recommended for you video in forever! Been hooked since and have loved the jour ey, shenanigans, and just the whole process of building a car with friends and having fun. Congrats on building your dream 86 and thanks for sharing the journey with us!
I hope to see more shenanigans and goofing off in the shed in future videos but also love the build process so hyped to see an EK and S13 build down the road!
Congrats! Perfection 👌
First watched the channel about a video or two after you got the 86, and thought it seemed grand but then really got hooked during Japan in a Van and then been on every video since. It's such a fuckin incredible process Neil, hats off to you lad you've made probably the best looking 86 I've seen on RUclips, and for you to manage it all off your own back and the help of your mates is amazing. Can't wait to see what you guys get up to next, the vids are always good craic because they're just honest and passionate
Super hyped for builds to come!
and a new chapter begins! congrats man! :D
Looking forward to the ek hatch content, just keep doing you man, you've got the right ingredients from the get go, and with youself and all the lads involved being so genuine the whole way through it just caught us all to keep wanting more and more, the excitement of a vlog release of a monday and the hint of the store opening will never go away, and thanks for inspiring so many like myself to get back out in the shed ❤
Love it and thanks for giving us something cool to watch!
its so fucking crazy the journey you went through, i was here from the beginning when you found that beast and till today and makes me wish I had many friends and places to restore my car like this. Currently 2 of them are just resting till that day comes.
This was a crazy ride! Thanks for sharing! I think i was at the first day with your channel.
I love this channel more than anything else I watch on RUclips. Building an 86 myself, of course I enjoy watching the build process, but I more appreciate the stories and heart to hearts. The memories is what I love most about building my coupe, and that's something I don't get reciprocated anywhere else. I'm excited to see where the channel goes!
I'd love to see some sort of mini movie of the 86 build, something that documents the big moments start to finish. I think it would bring some new viewers too
Well-earned Japfest win. You're so humble about it, too. You all deserve a pat on the back for the work that was done on that AE86.
Came back to watch this again, easily one of our favourite videos of 2024. Thanks for always keeping it authentic Neil 😎😎
Had a smile on the face the whole video
And I’m more then willing to watch another couple years seeing you and the lads building another car
amazing stuff
its kinda neat to me to think ive been watching since the day you guys brought it to the shed an were doin rings in the drive,
now look at whats gone on in these years, now look forward another 5 er 6 years. we are moving thru time with no brakes !
I see a bright future for this channel and I can wait to see the other projects to start!
Hell yeah man, we'll be here for it bro. Excited to see what comes next. I love the videos man!
Very excited for what’s to come fair play lad
Well done, good luck best wishes ❤❤
Love your videos! You can’t do any wrong :)
Keep up the good work ❤
Thanks
Love the content, love the pace, I’ll always watch your stuff, Cheers Neil, from NZ
Looking forward to everything you have instore Neil!
Ready for the adventures man!
