@@yurcivicsux2245 I know, I have one in my FD. 9280efr 20b with CD00A transmission and 8.8. Lots of money, but the "Ultimate" version of an "Factory style" RX7.
I love these types of videos from you guys. There’s truly so much you’re doing over time with individual cars, it’s great to have an individual recap of them.
The fd is definitely worth putting more love into! Im a honda guy but ive had a rotory and i couldnt help but love them, the functionality of a honda swapped rx7 may be sacrilegious to some but thats the beauty of every builds journey to becoming what you wanted your car to be! I applaud the dedication to see it through til the end! As for my vote a dct would be fun but i think a sequential would be funner
Color, seats, interior and in just in one word everything is amazing, If I was going to add anything honestly, I would go for door sealers, door bounds bad
Tell me why i had a dream about yall last night? A eg hatchback with a "k23" engine from an "Acura C3" lol. Craziest part was yall converted it to middle hand drive. Yes the driver seat was in the middle like a Mclaren F1 and it had 3 seats.
now We already get Mitsubishi lancer evo , honda civic , mazda rx-7 k-swap, now we need a video about suzuki cappucino and the toyota MR-S , dont forget about the ford Z28 timelapse too❤
As a fellow honda head who also owes a k swapped ek hatch, I have to say this fd is my favorite of all of your cars. In for more upgrades to this thing 😎
I know a dude where I work that pulled a manual IS300 out of a field across from our dealership (sat for at least 6 years). He cleaned it up and wound up making pretty good money off it.
Great content! Learned a lot more about the FD RX7 build from few years ago. But I’m still waiting for Episode 4 of the 2023 Civic Type R rebuild series….
Update the exhaust. Everytime i see that dual exit muffler it just makes me think of some homeboy special hanging under a caprice or something. Something that sounds good and looks good. No hood or bumper exit please.
when the engine blew all I could think was you should have upgraded the piston shelves and connecting rods as well as other internals to be able to handle all that power effectively 😅 I love the build tho, a FD RX7 is one of my all time favorite cars
If you're ready for a lot of headaches, constant tuning, and wierd, quirky transmission issues, by all means, go dct. They take ALOT of effort and tuning to get working correctly especially with the drivability and takeoff aspects.
0:27 I have been summoned! If I were to get my hands on an FD without an engine, I would Volvo swap it. Namely a built 90s 5cylinder with ITBs. Maybe with the later six speed transmission, provided it is at all compatible. Suspension wise I would opt for yellow bilstein coilovers and V70R hubs and brakes, all with the purpose of putting on 17' Volvo Eudora wheels. I think those would look incredible on an FD. As for the exterior, I would go for a Mazdaspeed A-Spec kit… wherever the hell I would find one is beyond me though.
Wasn’t a big fan of the K swap but learning that it CAME with it when you bought it, doesn’t bother me as much anymore. Still a cool swap, just not my cup of tea
While it's not true to the rotary spirit of the car, I think Honda has some of the best balanced 4 cylinder motors, and wouldn't ever consider swapping an I6/V6 or bigger into the car. I feel like it would change the handling behavior too much, and well built K engines seem to be the sweet spot for power/reliability. I'm sure they come at a cost, though, looking at everything done to this one (not just the motor).
"I could give this car all sorts of abuse and it would just take it"
minutes later: "well, i blew up the rx7"
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rx7 actives 😢
The color is looking perfect on that car . Doesn't matter if it's rotary or k-swaped, it's just looking awesome

Honesty is the best policy.

Love when people are complaining about free content.
Just mad you don’t have an RX-7
It's not free, you pay for it with your time and they get paid through sponsors and ad revenue

It’s crazy to think you built an rx7 in 20 min
imagine what he could do with 4 years 🤯
Ben must really love when these kinda videos hit the analytics at 10 out of 10
The dirty rx7 on a road with mountains in the background at 12:59 looks so mesmerizing....

20b for me, but the K is interesting.
I would love to do a 20b swap!

@@dabigesiiliterally nothing factory style about that build. Different engine, different transmission, different rear suspension.
20b is like 15k. K is $1000. And more reliable and gets better gas mileage. But for coolness and sound, 20b is where its at.

K swapping that rx7 wasn't a bad idea at all i actually love it !!

Beautiful car! Keep it with the manual transmission. I would do something to the front grill, it looks kinda messy.
Congrats and enjoy it!
been watching this build since pandemic! Really blown that it has been 4 years since.
Paint it. A long video in painting it yourself would be awesome and I know yall will do a banger job.
My man, I came back 4 days later just to say how much i loved this video! It doesn't matter if you made the content for extra money , i just loved it!
That FD is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen😍😍😍
Thanks for making this! New to the channel and was looking for a complete story and timeline on this car. Loved the video
Honestly something like this is my dream build. Love the looks and handling of the FD and the powertrain you put in it is awesome. Hell yeah man
This build will go down in gears and gasoline History you and Asian Ben came a very long way keep movin and groovin 💯🤝
Yes I will share this video. Even with people that don't care about cars. A view is a view.

Happy to see this :) What about the ZX2?! Need to do something with it! Track day?
This videos give me the motivation to work on my project car every weekend
Best FD build on RUclips in my opinion. Have all the looks and handling characteristics of a FD, but with part availability and simplicity of a Honda!
go wild on the exterior with genuine parts... and interior as well
Arguably the most beautiful car to ever come out of Japan!
do believe its on one of the best sounding K's out there!

It'll be a great day when G&G get their hands on an IS300.

Great video! Loved seeing the entire journey from the ground up!
It's awesome to see what you can do with literally any platform with some good technicians. Great job team! Can't wait to see what is next!
I’m a die hard Honda guy, but the FD is my attainable dream car as well. It would have to be a K, I do not have the patience for a rotary.
You’d be wasting your time when you could just buy a s2000. Also building a rotary is significantly less work than swapping in a Honda engine.
One of the best channels
I’m so glad we got to see this. Thank you Ben!
No DCT nor any other automatic, ever! Manual ftw! A turbo is enough of “modern upgrades” for this great car.
K series are the LS of 4 bangers lol.
The names of the "sections" are just hilarious in every video 😂
No automatic transmission should go in that classic JDM beauty, no way.
Not your car, so your opinion holds no value

Personally, I think a track day video with the rx7 would be really cool
Nice, I got a set of 510's from Fortune Auto for my LS-powered widebodies Fd
Beautiful RX-7!
How the car was when you bought it looks exactly like how my miata used to! tan interior, montego blue except for a red driver/ left fender.
Such a gorgeous build! 😍 No one would know it's repping so many countries' brands haha

If I had a car like that, I wouldn't care what brand of parts it has just to keep it running and also if it makes it better.
Don't DCT swap unless you're chasing lap time. You'll miss that dopamine of a perfect downshift.
It looks so nice, I want one now 😬

92mm stroker kit + 89mm big bore sleeves, crank the boost up and ignore that it ruins everything you liked about the engine
