I like watching videos where people renovate cars and I found your channel a long time ago and I have been following Neil's AE86 reconstruction from the beginning. After some time, I accidentally found the Nightride channel on You Tube and I was very happy that these were my compatriots from Poland and that they were able to make their dreams come true. Neil, you are a wonderful person for helping Sam's dreams come true, and I was very happy to see you come together through passion, because both of your groups are doing an amazing job. I myself sit in 16V shitboxes, but made in Poland, in Polish slang called Polish AE86 (You can Google Polonez 16V) and I envy both of you one part of the team. That you can sit down together and do something together with your's cars or just meet in the garage, drink a beer and have a barbecueor do something like this crazy trip to make somone dream come true.. My team fell apart and I was left alone with the project, unfortunately without much technical knowledge or support from friends who knew the subject. I envy you very much Lads and don't ever change! BTW: 26:46 is not Astra GL in Europe this model is Opel Kadett ;-)

About the window mouldings, in Japan there was the SE trim level with the chromed window mouldings. Also all the trim levels on the two door except the SE features a door sash blackout to give it the impression it's a hardtop. The three door and the SE two door dont have this and feature a body coloured b pillar.
Ah yes! It was only on select two doors though? From what I can gather, it’s so interesting to see the decisions from Toyota

There aren’t too many old economy cars out there that still have such a strong following like the AE86. Car guys helping each other across borders and a bunch of other car guys watching across borders. The 86 is legendary.
