"for everybody that's been here for 7 years" dude you got me through highschool and depression and my first car crash (k11) and fixing my said crashed car (k11) and getting to the point where im starting to weld it all so its not crap anymore, keep up the great content; not to mention all the great info and literal tutorials from you fixing this car up
We need some kind of 2 hour long documentary of Neil and The lads just telling stories about this car after it is fully done. Looks fucking class man! Wish I could make it out to Japfest this year, might pull up to a BBQ once the next one is announced.
"I know this is so sad for other people to think about" I know exactly how you feel we´re making seat brackets for the Mosquito this week and just the thought of sitting in it for the first time makes me giddy
Neil, you should take the car to the field where you rescued misery from and take a picture of it sitting in the same place. Cheers mate it's been a trip.
I owned mine back before drifting was a thing, but I did many things in it which should probably not have been done and lived... It looks great, enjoy driving it-- they're just good cars.
Hey lad, The car looks absolutely stunning, Huge props to yourself and all the lads in the shed for the skills and commitment over the course of the build. I went through a very sad and unwanted divorce right about the time you started the 86 pretty shit time, Your channel and the crack all you guys has gifted everyone to has been amazing. Just wanted to say thanks and congratulations, the car looks unbelievable
I used to have bad anxiety and would just watch this series on repeat. It helped me through some difficult moments all I can say now is LETS FUCKING GO!!!
Good things come to those who wait and nobody deserves it more than you. The car looks unbelievable and sounds unfucknreal. I hope you get many years and miles with it. Those back window trims need to go on ASAP tho
I swear at 15:30 the car just came alive for me with the lights and everything she has a presence man, cant say how exciting it is to see the car together after all these years.
Your vision for the car is spot on, the black looks even better in the daylight! Nerding out about new knobs just captures this project haha, brilliant! 😄
It's been ages that I felt this happy because of someone elses achievement. Thank you Neil mate for not giving up and keeping us updated and projecting motivation to our own builds. Wish you nothing but the best.
ultra satisfaction watching the last of the bits and bobs go on......but damn that dust is triggering me on the valve cover haha. Also, did they make black roof linings for the AE86 or nah? If not would look lovely fabric dying or vinyl dying depending what its made of (can't tell from the vids) :)
The pop-ups firing at 15:30 is so EPIC man. The car looks seriously hard when rolling. Amazing to finally see it coming together. Gutted I'll miss Japfest
I discovered this channel 4 years ago during the lockdown and even though I´ve missed some videos, I am really happy for all of you. Congratulations guys. Greetings from the Canary Islands.
Front right wheel looks a little further forward than the left side, gonna need another cut n buff before the reveal too but god damn the 86 is perfect just needs the window trims.
11:48 and the first shot of the interior just hit me so hard thats HAWT. Man it's so awesome to see such raw excitement and a feeling of success where you were there rooting for someone elses story - Absolutely phenomenal work and I'm in love with your car more than any 86 I've ever seen. (biased maybe)
there's something so therapeutic about seeing 80s parts brand new OEM being opened and put on a restored classic, it's a beautiful thing. car is looking awesome.
The car is beautiful Neil, well done for sticking it out and building it exactly how you wanted it! Jackie has done an unbelievably good job with the paint, it's perfect! Love everything about it. And always love the energy you bring to every vid, you're my favourite car guy
Love you and the crew. Posting as the admin from the Georgia USA 86 owners group, and have to say im excited. Been watching your videos on this since the first one! Please please please reproduce some juicebox stickers. My wallet has been ready to support you for a couple years.
Blown away how good it looks. So buzzed watching along. It’s been one hell of a journey that I can fully appreciate. Such a fitting song at the end too
what a wild ride this has been. car is so good! would be so cool to see this thing and Jimmy Oakes together. 2 totally different builds and philosophies behind them, but 2 beautiful examples of the 86
seeing this thing driving.. painted and all the bits and bobs on it... im speechless man, it looks so good. i can't believe its been this long watching
Incredible work by all involved, your enthusiasm is unmatched Neil, love the fact you show everything in videos nothing is hidden and the vibe is captured so well 👌🏼 Turning 28 this month and your videos give me so much motivation to keep messing around with old crap like my S13, love seeing you boys still absolutely loving every minute of it 😊👏🏼
Watching this video is so surreal. Can’t believe its been 7 years… as simply a viewer i cant imagine the feeling you have from watching your vision become reality with this car. So happy for you man!
Hey man I’ve been here since the start of this mighty AE86 project and it’s been great to watch the progress. Cheers man and keep it up. 🤙🏼🍺 From Zach from NZ 🇳🇿
I cannot wait to see this in person on Sunday. You've built this inspired by the very same car that had me absolutely creaming the jocks in the early 00s when I discovered D1 and drifting. Everything about this car is perfect.
Been here through from the start, got mine similar time I think...maybe a year later. Great to see it about to be enjoyed as it should mate. Well done! Can't wait for new car Rings! LAAAAAADDDD!
Amazing to see it move under it's own power. So close. Fantastic details. I love it even more since it has been painted black. Your passion and excitement for the 86 is contagious. 15:48 Nice March
had to watch this twice.. what a build!! its a cool to have watched the progress for the past 6 years of watching... getting to run into you at AutoSalon was super cool.. one day ill come to the to ireland and catch your build at a show.. great build neal
Damn the sound of that door shutting was so satisfying good job guys! Get on you and I'm so happy for you can't wait to see you enjoy it even more on the road! Hopefully you get to enjoy it fully and drive it hard and not be scared to ruin it can't wait to see them RINGS LAD!
Surprised no one slapped the brake light to see if that would get it going. Looks amazing with the side skirts though. Proper aggressive looking style on it. Looks incredible.
Awesome job, when I was rebuilding my mates supra we used fireproof foam blocks and shoved them in the quarter panels to reduce on road noise but only adding in less than a kilo, worth doing
The culmination of so much misery in every detail it just flows so slick all together, Plus the wheels and bits you have to swap around will keep it fun which is something I have picked up on, even after you put all the work into something it’s important to still be able to change and freshen it up and keep the project going instead of shoving it in the corner under a cover like a lot of us
Still cant believe this is the same car. I just love that you've stuck to your vision and have done what you want with the car. Love the wheels in silver. I have a feeling you've got about another 5 sets of wheels you've collected over the years. Cant wait to see the video of this doing rings bouncing off the limiter 😅
I remember when they re built Drift King's 86 the Gentlemen in Japan said they used the last parts in stock for his AC rebuild. The parts had been put aside for such a day.
Its sad seeing this car so close to completion because the journey has been so good but cant wait to see it finished and hope to see it in person someday
The excitement is real ! I can't wait to feel this for myself with my rusty old Honda , she's absolutely beautiful you couldn't have done this car any more perfect ! she's come a long way you should be proud man 👌🏻
I watched the vids those 7 years ago so happy for you Neil! I wish I got to this stage with my project I have still yet to finish my JZX from 7 years ago. Such a mammoth effort by you and ya lads congratulations man an inspiration!
Car looks amazing. There's only 1 thing I would change and that's to remove the front section of the cage as it sits in the middle of nowhere and restricts access and seating position.
looks incredible, you nailed it.... plust the oustide lighting made it look two tone for a second, best of both worlds, soo goood, and the long champs.... 😽👌
I remember the first video thinking this would take a year or two and I was excited for the journey, I had no idea how long and wonderful that journey would be rofl.
The detail is amazing brother, looks really really good! Thanks for sharing the experience ❤ Most fun I've ever had working on cars is working on corollas of all kinds. Lucky to have mates with AE86's and KE70's of all types, and of course a KE of my own 😊🎉
Really happy for you Neil, just like most people watching your vlogs I’ve been around for a while. Kinda feels surreal to see it completed. I hope you enjoy it for many years. Much love from 🇨🇦
Oh my good god man. its perfect. you've smashed it out of the park neil. I'm still feeding on the vibes and re-living my own experience through your videos. Its the best! ALSO ive been pullin on my knob for 34 years and its not as worn out as them ones HAHAHAHA
6 years ago I bought my 1st 86. Fast forward now, the parts from my 1st 86 is in an 86 my uncle gave me which was much cleaner than the 1st one(rust bucket)
"for everybody that's been here for 7 years" dude you got me through highschool and depression and my first car crash (k11) and fixing my said crashed car (k11) and getting to the point where im starting to weld it all so its not crap anymore, keep up the great content; not to mention all the great info and literal tutorials from you fixing this car up
Thats awesome bro! And welding is great skill to have! ❤💪🏼✌🏼
We need some kind of 2 hour long documentary of Neil and The lads just telling stories about this car after it is fully done.
Looks fucking class man! Wish I could make it out to Japfest this year, might pull up to a BBQ once the next one is announced.
Cheers man! There will be more events for sure
@@juiceboxforyou and yeah once it's done you have to (kindly) make a 10 hour long video with the whole process from bush to track :D
I will like to offer to volunteer be the videographer for the documentary.
@@charlieescobar6718 Im pretty sure thats like what Neil does
I just wish the tickets werent so fucking expensive. I live so close to mondello too but can't justify going to see it alone for that price
So glad for you! Your excitement for it is infectious so I've been looking forward to it half as much as you have 😁
Really appreciate it Pete! Its been one heck of a journey
Double Feature Week Lets go
"I know this is so sad for other people to think about" I know exactly how you feel we´re making seat brackets for the Mosquito this week and just the thought of sitting in it for the first time makes me giddy
Arrrhhhh! The trim around the rear windows! It's doing my head in. The car looks so beautiful, there must be a reason why its not on there.
right, it's been bothering me this whole time too
Been nursing a semi watching this car go together 😂 great job Neil. Turned out savage
Nice.
"I bet it stings."
"Shot in April 2024" Wait a minute... that's now!
Yes! He shot previous episodes earlier.
Not me getting back out of bed to watch so I don’t miss this.
Hahaha sorry!
Neil, you should take the car to the field where you rescued misery from and take a picture of it sitting in the same place. Cheers mate it's been a trip.
Can't believe it's been 7 years lol. I was young working in a dirty fecking cement plant when I started watching this and now I'm 40 with 4 kids lol
Following this for 7 years sounds mad 😅 now to watch it all over again
7:44 I'm blaming flip 🤣 looks unreal man can't wait to see it in person at Japfest.
23:55 reminded me of the scene from the office when michael makes his dating profile username “littlekidlover” xD
I owned mine back before drifting was a thing, but I did many things in it which should probably not have been done and lived... It looks great, enjoy driving it-- they're just good cars.

Fair play Neil, regarding window winder handles, drivers side is 10 o clocks, passenger 2 o clock. Was in an old Manual I had.
I swear at 15:30 the car just came alive for me with the lights and everything she has a presence man, cant say how exciting it is to see the car together after all these years.

The one thing everyone seems to forget looking at the 86 is it was previously home to 187 spiders and 32 minutes of old footage is of spiders burning.
She looks amazing mate, love the hype that came through when feeder started playing
The car looks great fair play to you,
