We need suit lockers so much, even if it's only a stand-alone 1x1x2 container we could use with cargo grids or have in hangars. It's the main reason people aren't walking around in clothing today but always have full armor equipped.

Where do we ask our questions? If here works, a couple notes for realism which I know is a big focus: With the new biome tech and things like leaves changing from green to red and falling off in the fall and winter/colder weather, I'd just like to point out lots of trees turn red from the outside in, I noticed a lot of them fading either all at once or from the leaves closest to the trunk first which isn't always right especially with leafy trees. I'm hoping for a very wide range of tree species just to add that little spice of reality. With the cows PLEASE include that they form best friendships, also some will be defensive but not hostile, like staring you down from afar and mooing at you, basically standing their ground. Not super common but would be cool to see appropriate and diverse personality in the animals Last thing, the Valakkar spawning or being attracted to the space cow's movement is a good thing I hope you don't remove it! Seeing them naturally hunt for food in the environment would be amazing.
yeah been hoping and kind of expecting this feature creep for a while. I do think it is likely to happen, primarily due to having caves in the game and them being exceptionally obvious to add. but right now that would be low value compared to the other game loops they need to get in the game. I hope for it but not soon personally.
Having (legal) locations scan ships on store, cargo boxes etc when elevator is lowered and items when using the item kiosk would make a lot of sense for a lot of things. Stolen items (and other contraband) could be easily confiscated at that point (along with the correct consequences).
That was a FANTASTIC episode! I actually think doing the pre-record made it better with the quality of answers given and preparation. It’s so great too to hear all of the deeper dive thoughts and progress to things shown in rapid succession at citcon. Thank you so much to the developers for their time, diligence, and effort!
The Part about the Item Recovery Kiosks was the most infuriating. Why do they have to think about Duplicating ? MAKE IT BIND ON EQUIP/ACCOUNT LOCKED/DNA CODED - You can Loot it, but you Cant Equip it Why do they have to think about Duplicating 20 sets of Golden Subscriber Armor ? ADD A PRICE TAG TO THE KIOSK - Doesnt matter if i want to Buy 10 Sets of Orc MkX Armor or 10 Sets of Subscriber Armor which is Bound to my Account so only i can Equip it. If they havent figured out how to handle this issues after working for more than a Year by now on that mechanic, then i'm simply at a loss for words here.
Tons of suit lockers are a must. The current kitting up process is so tedious and pointless time sink. I hope the devs do more playthroughs of their builds.Finding some game breaking bugs before public testing is so important.
Umm Speaking of salvaging and scraping… I like the idea of you can scrape the outside of the ship for tin, but if you go inside you should be able to salvage cabling for copper, and circuits for gold or something. That would be sweet.
[Question for the Inventory/Cargo Team Members] -- We know you guys love the idea of players moving cargo around manually, putting things into cargo boxes, taking them out, moving the boxes. While that gameplay is fun for us "space-truckers", when can we expect "some" few Quality of Life changes to how we 'interact' with those boxes? For example: Roc + Spirit + line of 2SCU boxes down either side of the Spirit. Previously, with the 'ship inventory', whenever i filled up the ROC, i'd pull up to the spirit, drive up the ramp, get out, access the trunk of the Roc, drag the ore from that to the ship inventory, go to a box, drag the items from the ship inventory to the box. Currently, we have no 'fast' way to do this anymore as the Ship inventory window no longer exists ( I AM OK WITH THAT BEING GONE ). But for the sake of Sanity, we NEED some sort of "quality of life" interface that allows us to 'target' a nearby SCU container while we are Accessing the trunk of that ROC so that we are not forced to move 2000-5000 ore by hand 100 ore at a time. Even if that "targeting" range is only the length of a 16SCU container away from us distance wise, just 'something'. Are there any plans in the UI / Cargo teams currently in work to Give us this type of "Quality of Life" system?
I wonder if it would be fun if we could retrieve small boxes of 1/8 SCU from the ROC ? The max inventory is 0.8SCU so it would mean unloading 6 or 7 boxes per run.
Okay so it's not enough to have the crew to fight the Valakkar, you now also need some folks to pull security to keep griefers from dropping a MOAB on your prize late in the fight and deleting all your effort.
I would like to see a death-standing-type exoskeleton for delivery missions that lets us attach a bunch of small boxes. They talk about having tons of amor lockers on a ship, and the idea is indeed cool, but I would never do it because it is far too easy to lose everything.
Dash Rendar -- man haven't heard that one in a while. One of the best Star Wars games back during the N64 age. Hopefully Disney never finds out about him, lest he be sullied for the new generation.
On the industrial visors (EG salvaging, mining..) it would be very cool if it could help us identify materials and what they are worth. Granted there will be no one price they sell for, but surely there is a rough market value that could be assigned. So this would help us make decisions in the moment. Salvage should also help us identify which components/weapons/etc are best to yoink again showing values and how damaged they are maybe.
so, its tied into the market? that, IMO, seems a bit lame and a bit 'cartoonish' in a gameplay perspective on something that is a bit moe centered around realism
@@Ravage2734b Realism? Have you seen the world we live in? The information given in ANY game is far less than that you have available in the real world. Without moving from my desk I can tell you the current bids and asks for any market commodity and far more. The only difference is we only have a few markets on Earth and SC would have many more. But making the information available to players is the most realistic thing they could do compared to almost everything else.
speaking of - where is our EVA external suit/chair for salvagers etc who may want to go into wrecks and drag about big components swiftly *ATLS for 0g*
Hi, thanks for the video, what about a water beast with tentacles and Psionic blasts that knocks folks over grabs them and flings them deeper into the water before consuming them and or grabs Ships over the water, or a Space Asteroid Monster that uses roids to clap the ship or spit roids their way? Or hides in a derelict ship only to grab them as a ship gets too close draining their power and sucking them out. Love the Suit Helmet for each skill profession. More Suit storage in Ships even a Wardrobe Locker that you drag onto the ship. Have a Mono Blade as you fall it extends out above the Pilot and it needs no power as it just rotates above lowering them gently to the ground, and retracts.
@@andrewrangel8277 When batteries come into play, running a body back to a medical ship could take some time. Arm mounted would run off the armor energy source and allow for sprinting. Also could be a more stable transport depending on injury type
By the way at 40:33 they are laughing cause they know how much of an issue insurance is and how players think insurance should apply to every single little thing.
15:06 - it may not need to have been smuggled. Juveniles could have, uhm, wormed their way into all sorts of things: livestock, pets, people, produce and even ship exteriors; to hitch a ride to new and amazing places just like plague rats, fruit flies, and fire ants have done. Historically, deliberate release of noxious or "invasive" species was the pasttime of rich people looking for something to hunt (rabbits, foxes, trout) or decorate their gardens (English Ivy) - and bored enough not to care about the consequences. 43:15 The big challenge in jungles isn't necessarily temperature and humidity although those are common problems. The BIG issue in jungles is parasites and biting insects (and other arthropods) keeping them off as well as the diseases transmitted by parasites (e.g. Malaria, Dengue, etc.). 50:00 Prime Minister John Howard very famously, or infamously, wore body armour under his business shirts. It caused quite the controversy at the time. So armour under clothing, even bulky armour, is a thing; it's just that you have to wear bigger sizes in clothing to fit over the armour.
I want an event, where you have a chance to land on certain planets and an alien creature infiltrates your ship and after a timer you have to deal with it. Something aggressive. Nice little horror event.
28:58 Zac still owes us a serious apology for that blatant lie. Spread is a square that turns into a line around gimbal lock. There's proof and everyone can log in right now and try it for themselves - especially the lines around gimbal lock just can't be overseen when shooting any type of scatter gun. Come on Zac, i respect you for owning the fact you're the Glint-Guy. Now own the fact you're the Spread-Lie-Guy too 🤪
I actually have to agree with him on that Shield front. I would love to have like a RIOT shield to protect Medics while helping your mates. In Our world we do have these too. so how about when you equip a Shield, you can either only Use Pistols or melee with it? and of course your medic tool. I would love that!
I like the idea of a foldable forearm shield for medics. Something built into the medic armor gauntlet. Either that or perhaps a piece of deployable temporary cover that you could stow on medic armor or in a backpack.
whichever suit has hydration included in it , i am buying it , sick of transporting bottles and being dehydrated during a fun moment. But more seriously , will we have a transmog system ?? with stats on gear comes the frustration of looking like a clown for best in slot or at least having the possibility to craft specific stats on any items of the same category maybe ?
You know, I'm amazed that not even one of the current armor sets has a built in hydration system. Not to mention food. Real space suits have water and at least a spot for a snack bar in the helmet. Maybe they can add that function to the explorer type suits at least.
Will we be able to set the game in time how immersive we want our experience? All the things being added and to be added will make the game such a long process and not everyone has 6 hours a day to play the game. Can or will there be an option to select another server that is not so immersive that it consumes hours to complete a simple task like moving cargo before repairing, loading everything manual fixing the 3 - 15 fuze boxes?
that would be cool. although if it is a sand worm it could be easily explained away that the sand flows like water and fills the void. but, lava tubes and stuff would be hecka cool if not worm caves. Lets hope they get actual game loops in first though before things like this
So, the worm can move underground? Then how come I just fall when I fall through the planet? And if I fall through the planet can I shoot the worm while I am falling?
I'd just like to point out one thing to everyone here. The fact Zac can not name more than three ships tells you the Devs don't play the game they are developing and a big part of why they are so clueless as to what really works and what doesn't.

With the new biome tech and things like leaves changing from green to red and falling off in the fall and winter/colder weather, I'd just like to point out lots of trees turn red from the outside in, I
noticed a lot of them fading either all at once or from the leaves closest to the trunk first which isn't always right especially with leafy trees. I'm hoping for a very wide range of tree species just to add that little spice of reality.
With the cows PLEASE include that they form best friendships, also some will be defensive but not hostile, like staring you down from afar and mooing at you, basically standing their ground. Not super common but would be cool to see appropriate and diverse personality in the animals
Last thing, the Valakkar spawning or being attracted to the space cow's movement is a good thing I hope you don't remove it! Seeing them naturally hunt for food in the environment would be amazing.
Might be doxxing my age but I totally got the jansport reference!!! I feel ya Disco
What about ropes and rappelling and climbing?
yeah been hoping and kind of expecting this feature creep for a while.
Parachutes, something like the ribbon chute in '97 game "MDK"
And moon / planets with little to no atmosphere?
That was a FANTASTIC episode! I actually think doing the pre-record made it better with the quality of answers given and preparation. It’s so great too to hear all of the deeper dive thoughts and progress to things shown in rapid succession at citcon. Thank you so much to the developers for their time, diligence, and effort!
The Part about the Item Recovery Kiosks was the most infuriating.
Why do they have to think about Duplicating ?
MAKE IT BIND ON EQUIP/ACCOUNT LOCKED/DNA CODED - You can Loot it, but you Cant Equip it
Why do they have to think about Duplicating 20 sets of Golden Subscriber Armor ?
This Q&A was awesome. Thank you for doing it !
Umm Speaking of salvaging and scraping… I like the idea of you can scrape the outside of the ship for tin, but if you go inside you should be able to salvage cabling for copper, and circuits for gold or something. That would be sweet.
Strip out copper pipes and sell them to pay for your slam habit. That's when SC gets real.
I have a few Jansport backpacks still floating around my home.
11:20 "All ships that are supposed to have an inventory, do"
*Stares in Caterpillar, Herald, and so many more*
C'mon man.
400i has 3 wardrobes, multiple desk drawers and a fridge. Can’t store anything in them…
Can the current game/servers just be made playable?
Said yesterday this would be a juicy one. Not convinced.
For example:
Roc + Spirit + line of 2SCU boxes down either side of the Spirit.
1200 Devs, 1 responsible for Law, Security, Reputation, Cargo and Armor! How to make your team overloaded? Well done CIG!
Okay so it's not enough to have the crew to fight the Valakkar, you now also need some folks to pull security to keep griefers from dropping a MOAB on your prize late in the fight and deleting all your effort.
Dash Rendar? I GOT THAT REFERENCE!
Zac once again proving that he is not only best dev but also memelord extraordinaire.
He looks high as fk lol
I would like to see a death-standing-type exoskeleton for delivery missions that lets us attach a bunch of small boxes. They talk about having tons of amor lockers on a ship, and the idea is indeed cool, but I would never do it because it is far too easy to lose everything.
Dash Rendar -- man haven't heard that one in a while. One of the best Star Wars games back during the N64 age. Hopefully Disney never finds out about him, lest he be sullied for the new generation.
YES COW PETTING! 51:50
Cow tipping?
Why not make an in-game store in the personal hangar for Subscriber items until crafting is added?
On the industrial visors (EG salvaging, mining..) it would be very cool if it could help us identify materials and what they are worth. Granted there will be no one price they sell for, but surely there is a rough market value that could be assigned. So this would help us make decisions in the moment. Salvage should also help us identify which components/weapons/etc are best to yoink again showing values and how damaged they are maybe.
This would be cool, just have it display the average sell price.
so, its tied into the market? that, IMO, seems a bit lame and a bit 'cartoonish' in a gameplay perspective on something that is a bit moe centered around realism
One question always remains unanswered. When will we see a more playable patch without major breakages?
speaking of - where is our EVA external suit/chair for salvagers etc who may want to go into wrecks and drag about big components swiftly *ATLS for 0g*
No time given on suit lockers?
prerecord all StarCitizen LIVE plz... it was the best ever! big thumps UP! 🤣👍🏽
Have a Mono Blade as you fall it extends out above the Pilot and it needs no power as it just rotates above lowering them gently to the ground, and retracts.
hey I love this, was great to watch! 1 take! woooo hooooo
QUESTION:
will the mining suits help with mining ships or the rock??? or is it just for person use only?
Medics need arm mounted tractor beams that can carry bodies like a stretcher.
Multitool is one-handed and already serves that function.
@@andrewrangel8277 When batteries come into play, running a body back to a medical ship could take some time. Arm mounted would run off the armor energy source and allow for sprinting. Also could be a more stable transport depending on injury type
7:23 So I can fly my A2 over and ruin a groups fight by destroying all the harvestables? Seems ripe for griefing.
I'm ready to see the sand worm t-pose on a chair
It’s unbelievable that so much is conceptual this many years into the game’s development.
You have an entire lore built from the Roman legion and you don't like shields? :D
We’re going to need more suit racks in our ships and as someone else commented backpack racks as well!
Haha…The idea of putting anything I care about in my ship gives me PTSD. 😂
48:46 thank you for the answer...🙏
So armour under clothing, even bulky armour, is a thing; it's just that you have to wear bigger sizes in clothing to fit over the armour.
i prefer having placeholder before UI.
I want an event, where you have a chance to land on certain planets and an alien creature infiltrates your ship and after a timer you have to deal with it. Something aggressive. Nice little horror event.
I love the new Crusaider Ship.
thanks guys love your game
37:28 that body floating by the window and nobody bats and eye.
imagine a group that just kills giant worms with massive ordinance to intentionally prevent people from getting the harvestables
Now own the fact you're the Spread-Lie-Guy too 🤪
Tamed pet Narwhals that you can ride as mounts confirmed.
Amazing episode !
Can't believe he gas-lamped us like that.
For some reason I thought Jared was going to ask about Valakkar standing on chairs.
‘There is a new Judge Dredd’
on the Star Citizen scale of time I guess thats a new movie
We all need bean bags like a lot of bean bags every colors every shape
Jansport with the leather bottom!!
Maybe they can add that function to the explorer type suits at least.
was that a @SpaceTomoato call out at 25:15?
Any mention of escape pods?
good and entertaining. I like these boies
Nice Lando shirt there Jared :-)
The only thing I want to here from cig right now is ( the Polaris is in live ) 😂😂😂
Avaliable on PTU for owners now (wave 1)
Good job. Thanks for the information.
Jansport is for carrying Trapper Keepers
Will the tunnels the Valakkar uses to get around persist?
that would be cool. although if it is a sand worm it could be easily explained away that the sand flows like water and fills the void. but, lava tubes and stuff would be hecka cool if not worm caves. Lets hope they get actual game loops in first though before things like this
"I told you, this show doesn't get any better when it's taped."
And we love it.
We have ship inventories, weapon racks, and will get armor storage, but we should also have a dedicated backpack rack!
14:30 so a parachute beam? J/k love your work.
when will an updated star engine video drop?
Nice but where IS the gameplay?
So, the worm can move underground? Then how come I just fall when I fall through the planet? And if I fall through the planet can I shoot the worm while I am falling?
I'd just like to point out one thing to everyone here. The fact Zac can not name more than three ships tells you the Devs don't play the game they are developing and a big part of why they are so clueless as to what really works and what doesn't.
