Honestly believe this is one of the most important SC vids on YT right now. Putting the Intel woes to one side, this perfectly sums up the experience; frustrating lows and cool/fun/chill highs. Love your content mate keep your chin up!
This video sums up why I stopped playing SC after 10 years ( I am waiting to see this new patch how it goes) but it's just bugs after bugs and half backed features that just ruin the entire experience. Very nice work you have done the effort is much appreciated Oli! One thing I feel you should have highlighted in a SC video, which together with bugs is the source of all SC players frustrations, it's the time you spend preparing/going into a mission. So when the mission fails or bugs out, the REAL PAIN (every SC knows very well) is the amount of tedious time you spent to get to that point for the game to fail on you.
I’ve noticed they don’t even fix old bugs I used to do claim-jumpers 2 years ago when I played but for the past 2 years they’ve been broken there’s also a lot more broken missions everything used to work apart from a few bugs but missions were fine I tried coming back to the game last week and they have destroyed it the performance is trash now every mission is broken apart from cargo but what made me quit again was the stupid master modes they have changed so ships are so slow now and manual cargo loading that needs multiple people so for solo players you can no longer do cargo unless you want to spend 4 hours loading and unloading a c1 for like 600k and for bounties to get to they stupid bounty locations that are 300km in the middle of nowhere you can’t reach them now due to the Lower ship speed unless you go afk for 40 minutes idk wtf the devs are doing but they must not test there game or they would see how stupid there design is
it's been over a decade since i've been on this game. i see how buggy it is on other videos. even with so much more content after a decade, the bugs are keeping me off from even downloading this game again. thanks for the comment sharing your experience. also thanks for making this video, olli.
Getting pirated really sucks. What I do to prevent it is to go through the motions of buying the cargo but not buying it yet. Then I go back to the ship which is where pirates will shoot you once your door is open. If nobody shoots you, I go back and make the purchase. Tip #2, travel away for about 30k at low altitude before heading out to space. This prevents interdiction hijacks. Lots of pirates hover above Pickers at 8000 feet waiting.
@@gulanhem9495 Well... it's not. This is my third day in a row of bugs not allowing me to complete any missions, so my measly in-game bank account continues to dwindle as each time I die and respawn I have to purchase ~$8-10k in armor, guns, ammo, food. Just now I died as for some insane reason the throttle controls on my ship were working in a completely different and wildly uncontrollable way. I managed to get out of a hanger on a space station, carefully floated a few Km away, realized there was no way I could control the ship to fly to a planet... attempted to return to the station to land and slammed into it. Another $8-10k lost and more time wasted. The game isn't particularly playable, imho. Give it another 4 years. Ugh.

Olli43 - enjoyed your entire video and sorry to hear about the Intel trouble you experienced from it. By the way a little helpful tip the next time you go mining. bring a friend along and the both of you can work together on those hard mine rocks easier. Also, I would enjoy seeing more from you sir.
@16:00 it looks like those NPCs noticed your ship and locked onto it. They are exiting the cave (wtf never seen this before besides the 1 890 jumper), and one of them even teleported right to it. New NPCs pathing out, and new foot NPCs noticing and fighting against ships... very exciting!
Good for you, this is awesome to see, just made it past the intro and its nice to see someone trying something new and creative. TBH I kinda stopped watching your content because things did seem ULTRA repetitive, but this is great so far!
Loved this video. Certainly, want to see more because it came off as my typical days in the verse. I felt your pain when your ship and cargo were stolen. I've been dealing with annoying pirates lately. This video though was awesome.
Please continue this series, can personally say i love it. However, one comment: I never played the game, knows very little about it so i'd like to see more of the prices of diffrent ships, and their time grinding equivalents. Thank you
buy starter pack and buy all ships in-game, quite ridiculous grind in-game but there is almost always a exploit. or a new thing that makes a ton of money. It's also pre-alpha so will be wiped most likely.
It’s an incomplete game. It’s buggy. Very buggy. But there’s a reason there’s so much controversy. It’s a lot of hate speech and echo chamber, but the problem is everything that is currently here is so damn good.
Love this, it's a realistic look at how SC is to play. Would be cool if maybe you did this over an extended period but some group gameplay too so people can get an idea of what that can be like.
For the first time I managed to mine in a cave and get out. If you can get in with a Pisces you can illuminate your way. Yellow zones are active climb points but some climb points are not easy to see. Practice running and jumping to transverse high points.
i've been waiting to get into the game when it was in a playable state. Seems like its still years away. Awesome vids tho, i can play through your eyes ;)
Fantastic series! Note, RMC trading has some of the highest profit margins that you can make legally in the game. Therefore it is also the most targeted item in the game for pirates. So if you're doing RMC trading make sure you either bring a friend or keep your head on a swivel and do not invest more than you can afford to lose in that trading.
I am all for the multiple videos, I truly enjoy your content and love Star Citizen. I am curious how many times you been "Citizened" by lag, server crashes, random ship explosions, etc, basically all the awesomeness that SC has to offer!
Great Vid Olli! Really enjoyed it, but mostly, also that you show, how bad a state the game is! Have been playing NMS for a couple of months now, and not playing SC, and not planning to! Just watching you and a couple of other guys, cause of the state of the game, and not planing playing the extreme time sink patch 3.24. Perhaps i will jump in when 4 is released just to test the Zeus, naked or in a sperm suit, as I am not into Time sink gaming, with Item Bank etc. Cheers and ThanX for a great vid! PS!!! Just a thought!!! Was it VoiDude that took you out???? 😂😂
Although we know the risks in the verse, bugs aside, we are brave warriors when it comes to earning some cash! Better luck next time they say lol.. Great vid! Enjoyed watchnig it. Thanks!
I remember seeing "100Days" in one of your ship huds a few videos back. Totally missed that easter egg and connection to what you were eventually going to release ;)
Loved the video. Losing the money was pretty obvious, but i think most experienced cargo players never risk more than half their money each run so they dont go broke. But I guess that wouldn't be good viewer ratings!
I want to see you visit this method again come 4.0 to the PU. Would be a great visual of whether server meshing really changes the game as much as it's claimed to.
Nice production Olli. I would really love the game more when the piracy has more negative consequences i.e. a consequence to match the level of the crime might mean that theft of 1.1M results in mandatory 10 days in Klesher & a bounty on the player until the sentence is served. Keep that content flowing :)
Also the crawl space in the cave you went through it's a good job you didn't get through I found that same cave once and found myself stuck there during an investigation looking for a body, once you get through the crawl space to that one part of the cave you can't get back into the crawl space and it's the only reachable way out except another opening on top a cliff in the right corner of the entry to that space you saw the bounty on Day 5, I got stuck there during a different mission and there was no other clear exit I tried to get into gap but due to the size of my gear I could not at least that's what I thought but even after stripping down I couldn't get back through the crawl space I came in from... don't use that crawlspace your supposed to be able to go back through it but you can't i'm assuming a bug! either that your your meant to be able to climb up to the small raised platform where the other exit is but I was unable to climb it! all in all it was a no go in any version of 3.23.X dunno about 3.24 but since it isn't a priority lets assume it's still bugged unless CIG say otherwise! Also glad you reversed on the exploding rock when mining my friend was doing well until the very last one he came back for greedy reasons this time without my supervision (honestly I should of reminded him to keep in the green it was his first week in SC and he had just got the ROC) he sadly exploded that final rock and it damaged the ROC he was unable to drive I had to use the tractor on the cutlass black of theirs to get it back in the ship and even getting it back to a vehicle pad to recall it at an outpost didn't work it was bugged and buggered, eventually he got it working but long after I went offline as I was tired despite my helping him learn mining I never saw a cut of the pay since I left before he got the diamonds he said it wasn't much anyways he switched jobs and realised it wasn't for him said it was too tedious and to costly if something went wrong! I think after that he started doing ship wreckages around daymar's asteroid field the one in the specific location that's hard to find without going around daymar in a specific way, it involved weevil eggs so I was kind of out after that but I made 100k on the other cargo, after that never saw him again last I heard he went into salvage and got a vulture he's still on the friend list we just haven't talked since we had different playstyles! I quit packages and went into investigations at microtech Distrubution 13 (the 30+k investigation mission) and also wiping out the pirate trash while I was there to rob the criminals of all their gear while rescuing some scared staff at the centre I then sold all the pirate gear and even kept some for myself (gear cost money) so I could have armor and weapons for the next run kept all the ammo and bought some suppressors and other equipment so I could keep doing it I earn between 56k- 120-k per run and I would load it into local storage so I could do multiple trips. I imagine now cargo is fully in I will have to finally buy an empty container and drive my nursa in from a different entrance with the container inside and use em to store the guns & gear! not gonna be as easy so i'll probably need a wingman this time since I don't have local storage to access at anytime anywhere anymore!
This video sums up every experience I've had with this game since 2013... "oh this is cool" ---> "Yep, that was a waste of time cause the game is broken...."
at this point to start without the explorer loop is 5 solar sytems OK with 4.0 release. I hope a Carrack [mine] 😊 is the ship to discover a new jump point.

So, you can put 1 and 2 SCU containers into a Mustang Alpha. It's just hard to do it. But that cargo box on the bottom is meant for it. Just a very tight fit.
I know alot of people will have hate for them pirates but at the end of the day its a part of the day you got a few options to counter this. One hire a merc to fly with you, two do it with people and finally three don't do high risk jobs if you can'ttake the risk that area is intentionally a pvp zone

Olli43 - enjoyed your entire video and sorry to hear about the Intel trouble you experienced from it. By the way a little helpful tip the next time you go mining. bring a friend along and the both of you can work together on those hard mine rocks easier.
Also, I would enjoy seeing more from you sir.
man, that Star Citizen OST is beautiful. When you moved up to the Mustang Alpha at the start, I got chills
I like this format. please keep them coming. Hopefully now that you have your Intel problem resolved you will have better luck with the next 15 days.
Yeah Olli...I've been really looking forward to this! 🍿
Good stuff Olli! Push as far as you can Sir :) See you in the verse.
Good for you, this is awesome to see, just made it past the intro and its nice to see someone trying something new and creative. TBH I kinda stopped watching your content because things did seem ULTRA repetitive, but this is great so far!
Day 1
I think I will miss sooo much that "I"inventory user interface
AI works very well tnx for the vid
Thanks for taking us along, Olli!
I am loving this video. I hope you will do something similar for 4.0. would love to see your journey when that patch drops.
Loved this video. Certainly, want to see more because it came off as my typical days in the verse. I felt your pain when your ship and cargo were stolen. I've been dealing with annoying pirates lately. This video though was awesome.
12 years of development :D
but the way you put it in your video is so g8 thank you
10:52 - the guy who you shot in the cave here looks like he stepped on some LEGO.
Please continue this series, can personally say i love it. However, one comment:
I never played the game, knows very little about it so i'd like to see more of the prices of diffrent ships, and their time grinding equivalents. Thank you
buy starter pack and buy all ships in-game, quite ridiculous grind in-game but there is almost always a exploit. or a new thing that makes a ton of money.
It's also pre-alpha so will be wiped most likely.
It’s an incomplete game. It’s buggy. Very buggy.
But there’s a reason there’s so much controversy. It’s a lot of hate speech and echo chamber, but the problem is everything that is currently here is so damn good.
Dude I make short videos and those are a challenge to make haha. I’m always so impressed by your content man, keep it up and keep it coming!
I don't know how you do it ollie.... the game bugs hampering every task you're trying to do. Yet you keep an optimistic tone. Good on ya
"...it was kinda hard to see me..."
walks around with a flashlight*

Great work, hope something similar is possible with a fixed pc and 3.24 👍🙂
Awesome video!!!
Excellent video! MORE!
I always enjoy watching zero to hero gameplay. The setbacks are frustrating, but the risk of that makes it much more exciting.
Love this, it's a realistic look at how SC is to play. Would be cool if maybe you did this over an extended period but some group gameplay too so people can get an idea of what that can be like.
That was honestly great. I know it was likely a slog, but it was very enjoyable, and I didn't get bored like other channels.
Yep, pretty much mirrors my life in the 'verse. 😀
Great vid showing the reality of Star Citizen.
I still call any shit like that getting dayz’d
@@jemeye6747 Sure that works as long as we all understand the meaning :)
Thanks!
I really hope I’ll have enough time to watch all the different videos once I start university this year, really excited anyways though.
Personally I loved it, good work Olli!
I don’t like videos frequently but I liked this one!
I remember seeing "100Days" in one of your ship huds a few videos back. Totally missed that easter egg and connection to what you were eventually going to release ;)
Amazing video!!!
I really hope you will do one of these for one of your first playthroughs with Piro.
played the free fly weekend, watched the vid and now I bought a mustang. not blaming you afterwards; going in with open eyes after seeing this ;)
Great video! I always suggest playing with others helps make the bugs less painful
Please please please keep making these!
Yes... Please keep them coming...
Loved the video. Losing the money was pretty obvious, but i think most experienced cargo players never risk more than half their money each run so they dont go broke. But I guess that wouldn't be good viewer ratings!
lol love the character name!
I want to see you visit this method again come 4.0 to the PU. Would be a great visual of whether server meshing really changes the game as much as it's claimed to.
This game looks so cool its disappointing that it doesn't work. Especially considering how much support this game has gotten.
Nice production Olli. I would really love the game more when the piracy has more negative consequences i.e. a consequence to match the level of the crime might mean that theft of 1.1M results in mandatory 10 days in Klesher & a bounty on the player until the sentence is served.
Keep that content flowing :)
Watching from Australia!!
Love your content Olli keep up the good work!!!!
Could you chuck a pin to the folks down under 1 time? ❤
700 mil game feels like that 200 mil AAAA skull&chips
Such a cool playthrough video especially for new players. Loved it, thanks Olli.
I imagine now cargo is fully in I will have to finally buy an empty container and drive my nursa in from a different entrance with the container inside and use em to store the guns & gear! not gonna be as easy so i'll probably need a wingman this time since I don't have local storage to access at anytime anywhere anymore!
you should do one of these videos each year. 10 or 15 days just to see the progress of the game.
One day i want to have a good computer to play this game, and dream like i am in Star Wars.
I experienced all the weirdness in this video myself and i know the pain lol and btw 7:08 didn't know you can open the box till i see this video
This video sums up every experience I've had with this game since 2013...
"oh this is cool" ---> "Yep, that was a waste of time cause the game is broken...."
Day 12 is exactly why SC is amazing and has an amazing future and why team mates/hiring a security detail is required etc love it!
Great project! It should always be linked when someone posts in the chat they need money.
10/10 would watch more
at this point to start without the explorer loop is 5 solar sytems OK with 4.0 release. I hope a Carrack [mine] 😊 is the ship to discover a new jump point.
I'm really interested to see how they will make exploration work. It's not like elite dangerous where the maps so big most of it is still unexplored
One of my friends is trying to get me to buy this game, but seeing all these bug occur makes me not wanna buy it. But it just looks like a good game anyway.
So, you can put 1 and 2 SCU containers into a Mustang Alpha. It's just hard to do it. But that cargo box on the bottom is meant for it. Just a very tight fit.
This is very nice starter guide do mechanics and bugs.
I know alot of people will have hate for them pirates but at the end of the day its a part of the day you got a few options to counter this. One hire a merc to fly with you, two do it with people and finally three don't do high risk jobs if you can'ttake the risk that area is intentionally a pvp zone
I like this concept for a video. Makes gameplay more grounded when you don’t have 100 ships and 50 million auec.
