- In Pokemon emerald elite redux they introduced 5 new mega evolutions with new abilities as well as boosting up the 2 that already exist. Each has 4 abilites at once to imporve power and bulk but which is the best? I will go over what each of them can do and which one I consider is the best.

now if they add Strong Jaw effect to Shocking Jaws, probably Mega Luxray gonna be better to use at least

Running Luxray in conjunction with webs put this thing into overtuned territory. Just didn't it want to be too self enabling.

So glad you put my GOAT Mega Ampharos so high on this list
On another note, it also gets Parabolic Charge and slack off, giving it reliable healing, and dragon pulse/draco Meteor make for good secondary stab, with Draco Meteor making it an incredibly dangerous wallbreaker if given a chance to attack
Rising Voltage also works great if you are using electric surge as your base ability, especially in trick room thanks to its 45 speed
Looking forward to even more ER content, maybe talk about the eeveelutions next and which one is the best to use? They've definitely been given some nice changes especially since you can use moves from different eeveelutions (ex. Moonblast on Espeon)

Good video, it's so overwhelming because of all the new stuff and changes so it gives me the best moveset for those mons.
I was running Nasty Plot or something on Mega Amphy because I was not aware of Tail Glow or even the priority on Shock Wave lol gotta make some changes, kinda fun because it worked so good with the moveset I was running
Mega Manectric carried my mono electric run heavily. It needs electric terrain support, but with it, he can erase many things with priority Rising Voltage (140 BP) and Volt Switch on stuff it doesn't KO.

How they work in practice:
Luxray: it being last is perfectly justified
Compared to the other electric megas it’s much more tame, and tame in this game does not get you far. It’s mainly a webs mega due to merciless, but it gets outclassed in that role HARD by megas like haxorus and especially beedrill. It can inspire an interesting style on web variants of mono electric (galv is their setter) but you’d rather focus on the broken new eterrain abuse.
Manectric: one word: sad
This thing wants so badly to be an eleki stand in, and in theory, it kinda works: it functions as a decent rising voltage spammer….
The problem is eleki itself exists and is just better in every way: coverage advantage doesn’t mean anything since eleki can just brute force through resists anyway, while volt rush isn’t a factor since one hit of rocks makes it useless. It is the best mega option for electric only because it’s the only option left (I’ll get to why when I mention the others)
Dragonite: Definitely is getting banned. It’s not even for the fact that the galvanize espeeds, thrashes, and outrages are ridiculous to handle, though that is a factor
It’s the fact that it and base, which is equally as busted, have completely different checks, and you don’t know which one it is until it’s too late. So for instance: attempting at punishing regular dnite with a Mon like base skarmory, oh wait it’s Meg-and now skarm’s dead, Vice versa if the mega dnite you attempted to check with a Mon like bulu, only for it to hit you with a banded Aerilate double edge that caves it’s bull totem’d face in
Mega feraligatr y: it just doesn’t work
Agility sets fall flat since it lacks any way of boosting it’s power and thus easily gets walled upon something resisting it’s stabs come in, meanwhile slower karma sets fail since it isn’t bulky enough to do much with the boosts.
Mega magnezone: On paper the Mon is TERRIFYING, with nuclear electric attacks alongside new toys like charge beam+multi headed to boost its spatk further.
In practice, you’d rather run base mag, since you can run similar sets while dedicating your mega slot to a Mon that synergies with mag, such as beedrill or haxorus. It’s still good in a vacuum, it’s just never seen since it’s redundant. Also doesn’t fit on mono electric at all due to its play style.
Mega lanturn: despite it being weaker on paper, it is better than fera y due to being more reliable, and having some tools that fera y would kill for, such as parabolic charge. However it still sucks: rain has way too many other megas it wants to use *ahem* kingdra *ahem* but it seems like it would have a nice niche on mono electric
So why not use it over manec?
Easy: rotom-w
Rotom has all of the defensive benefits mega lanturn provides and then some, such as ground and fighting immunities as well as making zapdos less pressured on defog duty.
Ampharos: Oh look at that; the other broken electric mega just so happens to be dragon as well.
On paper it doesn’t seem like much: it’s just seems like the bulky stall breaker got stronger….
But then it uses shock wave and everything falls apart, since as fi dough explains, it has +2 prio in exchange for only 40 bp, but considering it’s high af spatk, tail glow, transistor and even e terrain pre mega, 40 bp is all it needs to rip entire well built teams to shreds after one boost. Ground types, even if it’s not using electric stab it still is naturally strong: dragon pulse is enough to bust through, and overwhelm not only blocks scare attempts to slow it down, but also let’s it noob fairies, meaning counters like mega Granbull and Kecleon can’t stop it.
It promptly got banned alongside it’s tail glow+shock wave partner in crime xurkitree, which while lacking the tree’s coverage, ground shock and slightly higher speed to not be reliant on the move, it makes up for it via it’s MUCH better bulk, making setting up leagues easier, and behind screens…. it just wins
Mold breaker also is an option since not only is it the ability linked with electro surge pre mega (overwhelm option was ground shock), but it also lets it utterly ruin unaware.
In case you couldn’t tell, THIS is the actual best electric mega in the game, well, there is a slight toss up between it and dnite, but point is that fidough was SEVERELY underselling how busted it was (3rd place is semi accurate alongside directly competing with dnite, but behind mega fera y? Yeah that’s not accurate at all)

I used Mega Feraligator and it’s a monster more so after his rampage got upgraded to berserker rage.
suprisingly throughout my nuzlockes attempt mega lanturn was the most useful by far as it's water/electric immunities meant it has some good matchups into certain leads, allowing it to setup with agility then spam charge beam to sweep (the main fight is for aqua hideout matt)
the problems with the other megas in a nuzlocke context for me was
dragonite - you were most likely losing multiple strong pokemon getting it and for the last remaining fights there are better megas to use (plus my electric slot would be taken up by either kilowaterrel or zapdos)
feraligater y - it's a decent mega and i tried it in earlier runs but i found feraligator x so would ususly use that
manetric/magnezone - never got them in my runs as there would be better encounters through other methods
luxray - i would be giving up gyarados and by extension mega gyarados to use it so i never got it
ampharos - it was just kind of there and never really did much as other megas were better fits, had some use against juan if i didn't get a wind blower mon for the mega gardevoir strat
I actually haven tried MFeraligatr Y myself yet, but I can't recommend MAmpharos enough. I might even put it over MDragonite.

Mega Luxray should have been made more defensively than an attempt of physical sweeper

@@MegaFidough it's fineee but why mega feraligatr he's really hard to position and he has the same problem as m luxray hard to position and difficult to get kills even though he's running stuff like gen 1 hyper beam and hydro Cannon he has a very hard time getting on the field and not dying
Literally manectric is op free charge + rising Voltage + opponent grounded + electric terrain + stab hits so hard though u have to admit manectric is frail but speed is op it even outsped calyrex shadow speed boost + 1 speed.
