as someone who hardcore nuzlocked here are some tips for these battles space center maxie - you can get ditto in the desert underpass with min speed and imposter it can copy primal groudon and keep it's free coward turn, give ditto a scarf and spam precipise blades until it is almost dead (or dead if you aren't nuzlocking), mega lapras Y can then overwrite sun and ignore charizard while you focus on zygarde, for zygarde however you will probably need some support to prevent lapras from dying (i usually use grimsnarl as all 3 of those mons are guaranteed in a nuzlocke) museum triple battle - i usually go redux alakazam for this as it can deal with the lead pretty well, aggron + a special wall also helps with switching in, there isn't really a consistent strategy for this what i found winstrates - idk i skipped it every run as i didn't need pinsir calvin - toxapex has a really good machup into him but you may need to be careful of dugtrio if you are playing a nuzlocke Granite cave steven - his craidily is extremely passive, galarian linoone/redux simisear parting shot into either gyarados or scraggy then dragon dance to +6 and sweep, never lost a pokemon to steven phoebe - probably the hardest mandatory battle in the game, only tips i can give is that corviknight has a good machup as you can agility body press giratina, wall fluttermane with mirror armour and if you can defeat marshadow you can set up for a power trip sweep. golisopod also has a good machup as you can use coward to get a free switch in and first impression + sucker punch to deal with either necrozma and calyrex for free tate and liza - use hatrenne in first slot, ditto in second slot both with iron pill and holding iron ball, have ditto with imposter transform into reunicles, press the funny expanding force button on both mons and win only mon you don't 1 shot is slowking and it always goes for a setup move/hypnosis mega dragonite trainers - only fought them once so no real strategy for them, mega gallade is strong though 8th gym - psyspam is the best strategy i've found, lead with mega gardevoir and kilowateral, volt switch into another fast expanding force user and get a ko for gardevoirs soul heart then spam expanding force/hyper voice to win, i prefer this over trick room as trick room has a turn of downtime where your trick room mon can get hit wheras tailwind doesn't as you can switch to kilowateral on that turn
I've always hated the Juan and Wallace fight, not because of the difficulty, but because of how they try to justify bullying you by saying the Pokemon League will not hold back so they can also just unleash their full might. On. A. 2v1. Not how Gym Leaders should act imo. The Team Aqua fight is kinda justified because they are a villainous team, and the Kyurem trio specifically warned you that it will be a gauntlet and reward you with an actual good Mega.
This game is somthing special for sure. The emerald radical red imo. I just wana play every type on monotype and I’m a huge fan of your little Niche your channel has here
7:36 At first is hard, but there are many ways to get through it Scrappy, tinted lens, corrosive, bone zone, soul link, etc. When you know its weaknesses, it isn't hard anymore 8:18 Hit it as hard as possible 8:23 You can't dogde forever and you won't take physical attacks forever 8:45 Like, at that point you have seen it many times 8:52 Same weaknesses and weakspots, be faster or have priority
The randomizer gave me early route Oranguru, who just absolutely clobbers teams with his Sage Power and 100% accurate Focus Blasts. Made Steven a breeze.
Good stuff. I will say that if anyone is struggling with certain fights, you can rarely go wrong with convention: Aggron as a physical wall, Blissey as a special wall. Or, if you want something which is tanky in general, Probopass has excellent defenses.
Looking at this video, I don’t think the idea to give Redux Reunaclis a ability to give it the positive effects of the rain and sun which I call “Blazing Storm” with the combination of Overcoat and Cloud Nine isn’t all that busted, not gonna lie.
Also, it would’ve been neat if Steven’s Metagross was shiny due to it being cannon. Not to mention you could easily get shinys in the settings with 1/5 setting
Honestly, there's a lot of road blocks in this game, haha. But honestly, I think the Elite Four and Champion run is monsterous, espically if you're going with "no switching moves or pokemon" rule because then you have to plan for 5 decent-hellish battles in a row and depending on your team one opponent could be more ruthless than the other. It's a ultra hard way to finish off the game and I really enjoyed it for that reason haha, even if it was a bit sad leaving almost half of my team behind.
Lol elite Four and champions where easy after getting a broken pokemon I forgot the pokemon name but it was bug/steel with prismatic fur(kecleon ability the op one) speed force that use speed to dmg and attack raising after k. O and mold breaker with bulk up and quiver dance recovery and 1 dmg move sweep through all
04:45 i just tested and Escarginite Redux with a sitrus berry can carry on all 4 fights ( he will need help taking out the grass types tho ) you just leech seed, stockpile 3 times, sub and wait for them to die slowly (i used infestation for a bit of more damage too but maybe toxic is better), you can easily repeat this in all fights since he will always be ~75% in health on the end of each battle (unless you do something wrong)
Honestly, in many attempted Monotype runs I already had to give up at Calvin-1. I really feel this game showcases my lack of patience, frustration tolerance and maybe also creativity
Hey I wanted to ask a question You see I only play randomized. Sometimes enemy mons without illusion appears as other mons from their party. First time it happened when a ninjask disguised as something else. I thought it's a ninja bug maybe that's why and I also checked the abilities but it didn't have illusion. So I ignored this because of ninja logic but it happened again , this it was a braviry unnova and I was like no way, this one don't even any ninja background to it. It might have happened other times to but I didn't notice because I had a koraidon with parental bond, so I was unstoppable. But I noticed those two times before I hit them with super effective moves and it didn't say super effective, then I checked enemy team. Did it happen with anyone else?
Thought I was pretty good till I had my first (technically two) lost against the winstrate family. Reached sister (third one) on first battle but at that point I had no counter for her pokemon. Forfeiting, the game recorded two loses since I didn’t get to fight grandma then.
@@windrider2190 made me always ready especially for group and double battles after that lmao. It paid off. Though spoilers; team magma especially liked group and double battles one after the other.

7:43 Just use salazzle with toxic and sludge bomb, don't forget to use corrosion and merciless for this strategy (poison the dewleon and use sludge bomb, it can: OH KO, toxic faint or a second pokemon finish it). And elite 4, atleast in 1.6, was easy because kecleon just exists.
the hardest for me so far is that stupid meteor falls mixed double battle. the sheer rng required to beat that one absolutely shredded my soul, thank arceus for my hydrigon pulling out all the luck on hour like seven of that fight
I never found a way to effectively deal with the Lokix in the Slateport Museum fights other than sacrificing one of my Pokémon. By the way, I've seen someone easily beat Tate & Liza with 2 Bronzong with Expanding Force.
I once used quilladin with max HP max DEF and Stamina holding eviolite for lokix. Since it also has battle armor, it doesn’t fear its showdown crit and can wall it decently with synthesis recovery

Bro, im playing with doubles on the who time. Doubles isn't harder than singles, it's just different. If you aren't playing on doubles you should have a dedicated doubles team for when they come up.
This is why I don’t play Elite difficulty lol. I’m all for a bit of difficulty in games, but I wouldn’t even get past the first few trainers with my limited competitive knowledge.

I beat the game with a water monotype, and by far the hardest battle , to me, was drake , my team had 2 special wall , Mega Lapras (y?) and Primarina, one physical wall , dondozo, 1 sweeper , Quaquaval , the rain setter lanturn , and the special sweeper walking wake , since drake only has 1 special Pokémon my team had trouble matching his hard hitting physical dragons , by the way the boomburst + protect made every doublebattle a breeze
My mono physical bug run with tate and liza💀, type wise it should be ez for me but the main problem is they're using trick room and psychic terrain that nulified priority moves, and all my mon always use priority move( first impression/fake out, sucker punch), i bring spidop(lead), lokix(revenge sweeper), mega flygon(weather), kricketone(perfectionist), illumise(defog prankster), and golisopod(safe switch-in and bulky def)
I use spidops ability to use string shot so most of the time the enemies always go slower than spidos, then use first impression, if the enemy is slower go web shot(stone axe but web) otherwise go for silk trap to slow the enemies(only for enemies that make contact), if spidop survive(focus sash) switch to golisopod if not then let lokix revenge with u-turn(if lokix faster and can ohko with u-turn), first impression(if lokix slower and can't ohko, then use sucker punch), axe kick(if lokix faster) then let lokix use u turn if the enemy is slower otherwise just hard switch to golisopod, then use first impression and if golisopod can tank 1 hit before emergency exit active use u turn, if golisopod can tank at least 2 hit then u turn, if he golisopod can't tank any hit before emegergency exit kick in use sucker punch, if golisopod died switch to lokix and revenge after that go to any sackable mon, if golisopod not died switch to flygon(if the enemy has weather), illumise(if there's hazard), or kricketone(if no weather and hazard), after they died switch to lokix to revenge then switch again to any sackable mon and revenge with lokix, repeat until battle end
I changed my whole team just to beat them, i bring pinchurchin with electric terrain and follow me spam so my redux mega alakazam can spam snarl to reduce their spA, after pinchurchin died i bring mew just to use trick room, after redux M.Alakazam died i bring the third evo of slugma to use shell smash with simple and white herb and a litle help of follow me mew after that i kept spam eruption on the third evo slugma, after mew died i bring redux sableye to use follow me after he died i bring my redux kinggambit to use excalibur with it's signature ability that make any slashing move hit both foes

museum triple battle - i usually go redux alakazam for this as it can deal with the lead pretty well, aggron + a special wall also helps with switching in, there isn't really a consistent strategy for this what i found
winstrates - idk i skipped it every run as i didn't need pinsir
calvin - toxapex has a really good machup into him but you may need to be careful of dugtrio if you are playing a nuzlocke
Granite cave steven - his craidily is extremely passive, galarian linoone/redux simisear parting shot into either gyarados or scraggy then dragon dance to +6 and sweep, never lost a pokemon to steven
phoebe - probably the hardest mandatory battle in the game, only tips i can give is that corviknight has a good machup as you can agility body press giratina, wall fluttermane with mirror armour and if you can defeat marshadow you can set up for a power trip sweep. golisopod also has a good machup as you can use coward to get a free switch in and first impression + sucker punch to deal with either necrozma and calyrex for free
tate and liza - use hatrenne in first slot, ditto in second slot both with iron pill and holding iron ball, have ditto with imposter transform into reunicles, press the funny expanding force button on both mons and win only mon you don't 1 shot is slowking and it always goes for a setup move/hypnosis
mega dragonite trainers - only fought them once so no real strategy for them, mega gallade is strong though
8th gym - psyspam is the best strategy i've found, lead with mega gardevoir and kilowateral, volt switch into another fast expanding force user and get a ko for gardevoirs soul heart then spam expanding force/hyper voice to win, i prefer this over trick room as trick room has a turn of downtime where your trick room mon can get hit wheras tailwind doesn't as you can switch to kilowateral on that turn
