    The best way to look at the franchise- Max is real and not real, like Robin Hood, John Henry , or Hercules. He’s the hero/legend of the post apocalyptic future for the wastelands.
    You can have unrelated adventures and stories told by people who fought with him or people just telling a story they heard. Can use different actors and remain true to the legend. Same as 007.

    Deleted scene sheds light into the milking mothers.... a woman has a baby and essentially tosses it aside because she can be brought up to live up there and produce milk. You actually see her in the middle of the lift.
    The mothers are well fed and continue to milk. One even has her deceased baby. The amount of subliminal world building in this movie is some of the best I've seen. You essentially can create it on your own

    • @LordLOC
      @LordLOC 6 месяцев назад +1

      Sorry man. My cousin's friend had a similar reaction to the older woman dying with a smile on her face since her mother apparently died with a smile on her face also (though I assume not in a life-or-death car chase or stabbing someone with a bullet) and he too broke down at the end crying. It's little things like that, that make this movie so well-crafted if you ask me. Not that something reminding you of a loved one passing away is good, but you know, everyone on the planet has this in common so it makes sense it hits people.

    • @LordLOC

      I don't think I've ever seen anyone hating this. I've seen people say it doesn't make much sense (which, I mean the plot is as simple as they come lol, come on) or that the movie is "exhausting" because it's just a 2-hour chase sequence basically with barely any down time. Or that the acting from Tom Hardy is really non-existent because he has like what, 10 lines in the entire movie and just grunts and moans the rest of the time? I've even seen people say the movie is "woke" because they had Furiosa take over as the "main character" from Max - which if they've seen ANY of the other Mad Max movies, they would know Max is normally not even the main character in those movies - just that the plot always revolves around something he finds himself in. But I've never seen anyone outright say the movie is bad or horrible. It's objectively an incredibly well shot movie, amazing music and out of this world action. From a guy who directed Happy Feet and last directed a Mad Max movie in the late 80s lol

    Max had blood type O-, meaning he's a universal donor. That's how he was able to save Furiosa.

    • @jansenart0
      @jansenart0 5 месяцев назад +3

      That's a false plot point but could be miraculously true;
      0NEG is only universal donor for red blood cells (RBCs). It's the most important blood type since we generally separate cells from plasma and replace plasma with saline.
      ABPOS is the universal donor for PLASMA. If you combine the two whole bloods, or indeed two whole bloods from two different types, they will agglutinate, cause clots, and kill.
      If you're doing a whole blood transplant, then you need exact type match (RH is only important in reference to pregnant women or eventual transfusions to pregnant women).
      That being said, there's an EXTREMELY rare mutation called "Golden Blood" that has no antigen markers at all, and can be used to transfuse whole into anyone. People with it are kept anonymous to prevent oligarchs from kidnapping them and literally using them as blood bags. It would appear as 0NEG.

    • @marshallprince2583
      @marshallprince2583 5 месяцев назад

      @jansenart0 WOW! Great information. Thanks for sharing!
      I figure since the movie made a point to show the tattoo the war boys put on Max's back saying he was a universal donor, the intent was just to justify for those of us with less hematological knowledge that Max could, indeed, save Furiosa with his blood. I imagine they figured anyone who knew better could just suspend disbelief enough to enjoy the movie. It's kind of like watching a Michael Bay action sequence when you have a working knowledge of physics.
      Thanks for sharing, though. Golden blood sounds very interesting, and I'm going to look it up now.

    And that's partly due to composer Tom Holkenborg/Junkie XL. His musical score for this movie was perfect.

    One way to look at this series is to imagine each film as a campfire story told after the end of the world. And that Max, while he may have been a real person at one point, has become a kind of folk hero. Like Johnny Appleseed or Davy Crockett. And so, the differences and contradictions are explained by the stories being told by different people in different places. With 'Max' as the central character being the only constant.

There werer multiple persons who were 'Max', that's why those stories can take place so timely distant to each other, the first one just when society collapses, now that one decades later.

    This...to me...is the most visually stunning and exciting film in the franchise! I grew up watching Mad Max films so I had waited a LONG TIME for this bad boy to release!! When I found out Tom was the new 'Max', my naughty bits tingled a little, I think he's a fantastic choice for broody Max! Charlize, of course, KILLS IT!! She's just Bad, that's all I'm sayin'!!
    Knowing the original creator was making this, I knew it'd be great. It was nice seeing the original 'world' get the homage it deserved and it could have only been done this good by George Miller himself. Beautiful!
    The only issue I had was the disappointment I felt when Max turned out to be barely a supporting character. I would have been FINE with a Imperator Furiosa standalone film in the world of Mad Max, if they had just sold it to us that way. Max was barely a blip on the screen and I was pretty bummed about it at the time. Still am, but am very much looking forward to the new film.....her standalone. I've seen this film over 10 times, and I'll probably watch the new one as many times!!

    They tattoo "Blood type O- Universal Donor" on Max's back at the start, that's why he doesn't have to worry about blood types. Those were chastity belts with the teeth, Joe had the key. The guitar guy is credited as "The Doof Warrior", which is Australian for exactly what he is

    Saw it in the theater, I hated it. I was expecting the old Mad Max type of movies, and this just seemed so over the top cheesy to me. Then I was bored and it was on HBO, so screw it. I liked it a bit more, than I remembered. So I watched it again a few days later, and then again a few days after that. And every watch I liked it more, and more, and more. Until now I have a giant poster of the dual lanced Warboy going Kamikrazee in my home gym. I paid extra to have it printed cause I couldn't find a poster. I love this movie now. I just didn't get it the first time I saw it. It is a phenomenal film, and my God the 90% practical effects with 10% subtle CGI is perfection... just perfection.

    I'm going to get hate, but here we go. I like the other movies in the franchise better. This movie just doesn't have the organic feel of the others. It's a bit too polished in my opinion. I am by no means saying its not a good movie or not a good entry, but something has always felt a bit "off" to me. You really want to see Tom Hardy as a mega badass? Check out "Bronson." Alway a fun time seeing your reactions to movies. Hope you and the babies are well.

    Since you’re also leaning into gaming, I highly recommend the video game tie-in. It’s also a prequel to this film, with Max wandering the wasteland battling the troops of Scabrus Scrotus, another bastard warlord son of Immortan Joe. That’s where you first meet the little girl who keeps haunting him.

    This isn't a Cocaine Cabinet Movie.. this IS The Cocaine Production Source. 😅
    That theory sounds similar to what I have always surmised about Max's "Legend". I've discussed it with a commentors over a range of videos, some agree, some do not.
    My Conclusion is that MAX Max, is in fact Dead.. or has been for a long time. And THIS Max, is someone who has crossed paths with him, or someone who "is" him.. and looked up to him enough to carry on his Legacy.
    His Legacy has always been that Random Wanderer who strolls into Town, and helps them out in their Struggles Against Warlords and Crazies of The Day.
    ... before he does what he Always Does. Drives/Walks off into The Sunset.
    People speak of This Max and Deeds throughout "The Land & Ages". But chronologically.. the Timespan doesn't add up for those who say that it is The Same Guy (from The First Movie).
    Anyways, Glad you liked it.
    Personally, I don't like Anya Taylor Joy.. but I am looking forward to watching The Prequel (Story) to This Movie. 😁 #WITNESS

    Please watch HANNIBAL RISING.
    Hannibal Rising is a psychological horror novel by Thomas Harris, published in 2006. It serves as a prequel to his three previous books featuring the infamous cannibalistic serial killer Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
    The novel chronicles Lecter's formative years, beginning in Lithuania during World War II. After witnessing the brutal murder of his parents and younger sister by a group of deserters, a young Hannibal escapes to France.
    Hannibal Rising was adapted into a 2007 film of the same name, directed by Peter Webber. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but it did find an audience among fans of the Hannibal Lecter franchise.

    It's like it would be woke if they sacrificed quality for a bullshit agenda but this movie did not. Charlize Theron is awesome and this movie reeks of quality and passion. Also the only other theory on the type of movie it is if it's not just a story or remake is some people think this Max is the wild child from Mad Max 2

    The silver paint both hypes them up for the kamikaze death, and is meant to be like the grill on a car (shiny and chrome). War Boys are all half-life and die of cancer at a young age. In their world, only the cars are immortal and strong. Thus, they worship the machines and dream that upon dying they will be like the cars themselves, riding eternal, shiny and chrome.

    Mad Max is one of my all time personal favorite series. so as for your question where does this place. So this series is made by one of the greatest film geniuses of all time George Miller, He is not a film maker keep that in mind (I know crazy) his career choice is he was an ER surgeon so a Doctor in Australia. in the 70's he saw a crazy amount of car related accidents as doing stupid stuff in cars was super popular at that time. This inspired him to think about a post nuclear war world with cars as horses. this is why every car is also older because those cars had no computer components so after nuclear war they could be repaired and still work, unlike newer cars with so much computer components that the EMP from Nukes would just destroy every bit of them.
    So the first move is "The Road Warrior" this is the only movie shot from Max Rockatanskie perspective. Every movie after that one we don't know the chronological order because they are set up as you are seeing someone else's perspective, someone else telling you the Legend of when they ran into The Road Warrior and he helped them survive something. This movie was shot from Furiousa perspective she is telling you the story of when she met Max. and like all Max movies it ends with him leaving alone to travel the waste as the Legend that he is, the legend of "The Road Warrior"
    and fun fact. there is some crazy symbolism in this film. So the bullet farmer represents the horseman of war, the big fat yucky guy represents the horseman pestilence, Immortant joe represents the horseman of famine (see we adding up to the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse) Max himself is the horseman of Death. Furiousa won because "Death was on her side".
