Fun fact: when Bruce was filming the scene saying goodbye to Grace, he was talking to a photograph of his own daughter. So that emotion is very real ❤️
@@ClaudioTV2005 It wasn't really cameo as the song was written specifically for the movie (and that goodbye scene where Liv cries 'Daddy' was what convinced Steven Tyler to perform the song), and they naturally used shots from the movie. Just trivia fact - many mistakenly say that the song was written by Aerosmith - it was not, the author is Diane Warren. They offered Aerosmith to do the song as they already used some of their tracks for soundtrack and thought it would fit well for them to do the main song as well.
My husband just asked why he came in and saw me crying and then laughing hysterically a second later. So I tried to explain who you are and about your awesome puppers. "AJ, I got just five words for you: Damn glad to see you boy!" "That's six words." Fun Fact: The film opened on Liv Tyler's twenty-first birthday. Casting Notes Fact: First major starring role for Michael Clarke Duncan, prior to this film he had done very small roles in TV and in film. Not Excessive Fact: After Rockhound (Steve Buscemi) gets space dementia, the shuttle crew wraps him in duct tape, which is, in fact, NASA protocol for immobilizing a crazed crew member. He's Not Wrong Fact: Rockhound's (Steve Buscemi) line about sitting on a million pounds of fuel in a rocket built by the lowest bidder is a variation of an actual radio transmission by Mercury astronaut Alan Shepard, just prior to lift-off.
Rejected actor fact: Sean Connery was originally going to play the main character, but Michael Bay wanted an younger actor after seeing many oil drillers
As a daddy's girl, this movie left me a sobbing mess in the theater. Harry saying goodbye to Grace gets me every freaking time. Then at the end with the pictures at the wedding, ugh my heart. The I Don't Want To Miss A Thing music video is also iconic that song still slaps
You and Steven Tyler. He didn't want to do the song until they showed him the movie. Said in an interview that they reached the part where she reaches out to the tv and he, blubbering like a child, said, "All right, all right! I'll do the song! I'll do the soo-oo-oong . . . !"

I hate to defend him but Michael Bay was absolutely right. Decades of drilling experience and instinct can't be taught in a few day crash course. Also they weren't taught how to be astronauts, they were taught the pure basics and had actual astronauts to back them up, that makes actual sense.
You can't teach decades of drilling and instinct in a few days . It's impossible. Better off having drillers taking a chance in space. Especially with astronauts with them
Don’t worry about the tears, it still gets me every time too. And when the producers were trying to convince Aerosmith to record the theme 'I don't want to miss a thing' they showed the final goodbye scene between Liv and Bruce to Steve Tyler. As soon as he saw his daughter calling for her daddy he was reduced to tears and agreed. 😭#Masterstroke
I was 14 years old in the theater and at my most fake tough phase in life and I still remember the pain in my throat from trying not to cry when Ben Affleck screams ''Harry I love you!''. Feels so much better to blubber for 10 straight minutes.

I actually find it very impressive how well you remember actors names. Whenever I see a familiar face I usually just remember them as the person from whatever movie I saw them in before, but not their actual name.
Being a girl dad, this movie kills me. It was touching when I watched it when I was young but damn it hits different now. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan and prayers up for Bruce Willis, two legends.
The look on your face when Michael Clarke Duncan started dancing in his underwear made me spit water across the room, I was laughing so hard. Thank you for that! I also bawl my eyes out everytime I get to the scene where Harry sacrifices himself and says goodbye to AJ and Grace. 😭 Thank you for another stellar reaction! I can't wait to see what you do next!
Your babies were comforting you when they showed Harry gave his Mission Patch to AJ to give to Truman (Billy Bob). This movie is one of my faves and has a top tier cast! Severely underrated. I feel like Michael Clarke Duncan was one of those kids that was really into trucks and his parent just never told him you can’t actually grow up and be a truck. Explains why he’s so damn huge he was training his whole life to be optimus prime.
The only thing this has in common with "Deep Impact" is that someone has to go to space to save the world. There was so much laughter in this movie and DI had none. Both great movies (and I did cry at the end of both movies). Great reaction and always so sweet to see that those babies love you so much!
You get up at six in the morning to go to a job that you hate, and before lunch a giant asteroid hits the earth. I would be mad as a mother 🤬. Great comment J 😂😂.
Fun fact. Michael Clarke’s mother was very strict and religious. She didn’t like it when he did this strip tease and was almost naked and she let him have it. Which is why he never did anything like that again.
Man…. When your hand started shaking when seeing Harry trick AJ and telling him to take care of his daughter. cried right along, this is just one of those movies. When it’s on TV the remote stays down
I LOVE this movie, one of my favorite bits of movie trivia is the dog in the beginning was specifically trained to attack godzillas, they had to hide them from the dog until they were filming
Best reaction I have ever seen to this movie!!!! You sir are a legend! And your dogs!!! So awesome they picked up on your emotions so fast and tried to help!! Absolutely awesome all around!
I just want you to know I love your reactions. This one is especially because it’s literally one of my favorite top. Three movies for disaster. And I love your dogs even more because they could tell how upset you are by this movie and the way that they both try to comfort you. It really pulls up my heartstrings bro.
EOM Reacts , When you became emotional over Bruce Willis saying goodby to his daughter, your Co-Pilot became so seriously supportive of you in your time of grief. It was beautiful. You are so blessed to have such a caring Co-pilot.
Absolutely love your reactions man! This movie still to this day is one of very few films that will make a grown man cry. The ending with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck gets me every single time. The fact he was always hard on him because he’s thought of him as a Son is so sad saying goodbye. Then of course the goodbye to Grace at the end is heart wrenching…. Absolute great underrated movie!
As Affleck later recalled in a DVD commentary about the movie, "I asked Michael [Bay] why it was easier to train oil drillers to become astronauts than it was to train astronauts to become oil drillers, and he told me to shut the f**k up."
I am so envious of the way your dogs love you. I've never had anyone/anything look at me with that much devotion. It shows that you are a very special person.
Fun fact: the song at the end is "I don't want to miss a thing", sang by Liv Tyler's real life father Steven Tyler, the vocalist of Aerosmith!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched this movie a million times and its still entertaining. Definitely worlds ahead of deep impact for me. It was an A team cast at that point.
As I kid I’ve watched this movie over 3000 times lol. I don’t know why but in 98. It was basically Armageddon and rambo summer all day everyday. Great reaction broki 👌
I've been watching this movie since it came out. So many times over the years. I work with a bunch of old retired military guys, the toughest salt of this Earth and we go hard. I say this to say the following...I have teared up every single time watching this movie. So many stars in this movie playing such a diverse set of roles, all the explosions, the common good that halts all our petty crap as a race to unite against a single foe...inanimate...cold...uncaring and the end of us all. Just a great movie all around. Cheers.
Armageddon is my all time favorite movie. Laugh every time. Cry every single time. Never gets old, ever! I know every line to the whole, long ass movie
I think whether someone prefers Deep Impact over Armageddon depends on genre preference. Deep Impact is a drama, Armageddon an action. I like them both for different reasons. They take good chances to examine humanity
This reaction may be the greatest reaction I've ever watched, without hyperbole. Great job. Puppo going into begging pose out of worry was just amazing.
I loved this movie when it came out and I still do. I’m so excited you’re doing this one! I’m liking and commenting before it’s even started because I know it will be that good.
The older I get the cheesier this movie feels, but man watching this as a kid it was glorious. It still gets by on humor and the charm of the supporting characters. It’s just really fun.
Yes, it is cheesy and sappy and ridiculous. An entire crew of oil drillers have to save the world from a 2,000 mile asteroid that no telescope on the planet had ever observed before 18 days till impact because NASA is continuously looking at the same 1% of the sky, and never observing in any other directions, and the oil drillers have to do it because NASA engineers can't figure out how to operate a drill designed by a fool, and that can be worked by one person with almost no experience using it. Before this, one of my favorite movies was (still is) _When Worlds Collide_ and then earlier in the year _Deep Impact_ came out and it was basically a modernization of _When Worlds Collide_ and I saw it in the theater and I still love that movie. We (my brothers and I) grew up understanding science. My father wrote a manual on how to write technical manuals. Yeah. If we were too sick to go to school our mom made us watch _Cosmos_ or _Demonstrations In Physics_ and we understood the space program and how astonomy works so this movie was always just a ridiculous comedy parody with no logical story. It is fun to laugh at. The only reason they send the drilling crew is because NASA couldn't figure out how to follow a set of blueprints or how to troubleshoot and problem-solve on a drill designed by a guy who's not too bright, and whose character arc goes from launching golf balls at Greenpeace to being stuck on a ball that's going to destroy the world, magnifying his idiocy and personal growth in a way that is almost indiscernible as being juxtaposed against who he was at the start of the movie.
"I'm not crying, you're crying!" The moment I saw you start to cry, I realized I'd been crying for about 5 minutes. And I've seen this thing a dozen times. :)
Your Co pilots were so sweet, adorable and caring. I could really see how aware they are of your feelings this time and especially both of them at the same time. For some reason whenever I see Armageddon it makes me want to watch Con Air. It must be the Steve Buscemi connection.❤
Dang you, Jay for watching this movie making, which in turn made me have to watch your reaction (I can't miss one). I literally haven't watched Armageddon since around the time it dropped on DVD back in the day. I generally make it a rule to not watch movies that have made me cry and Armageddon was one of the ones that broke me. I start tearing up just knowing what was about to happen while you were watching and still had to pause because my eyesss. DEVASTATION!! 😭
The guy who came up with the idea to blow the asteroid from the middle was Jason Isaacs. He plays villainess characters a lot and he is damn good at it but I love him in everything he does. He was the bad guy in The Patriot and he played Daddy Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
Michael Clarke Duncan had to be that big to contain all that incredible awesomeness! RIP to the legend

She was April O'Neill in the original TMNT
I am so envious of the way your dogs love you. I've never had anyone/anything look at me with that much devotion. It shows that you are a very special person.
The unintentionally hilarious coincidence that the movie was playing with your emotions while you're wearing a Big Worm t shirt
Your best reaction ever.
So glad this favorite movie moved you as much as it still does me.
Thanks for keeping it Real!
I've seen this movie a dozen times, but that one scene still makes me cry like a baby.
I've watched this movie so many times and still cry. Love the cast.
"Thanks for playin' 😂😂😂 gets me every time! But I did ride with you at the end😊
The final 10 minutes of this movie is extremely well done. Great drama and cinematography.
Seen this movie a hundred times including when it first released. Your reaction is the first that actually got me crying. 😭 You're the best J
Your puppies are the best, I love that they wanted to comfort you. The one that sat up on his hindlegs was so adorable.
As I kid I’ve watched this movie over 3000 times lol. I don’t know why but in 98. It was basically Armageddon and rambo summer all day everyday. Great reaction broki 👌
That scene with Bruce Willis & his daughter get me each time
I've been watching this movie since it came out. Cheers.
if you don't feel somthing watching this movie, especially the end scene between Bruce WIllis, and Liv Tyler ... that is LOVE
Armageddon is my all time favorite movie. Laugh every time. Cry every single time. Never gets old, ever! I know every line to the whole, long ass movie
Seeing this upcoming just MADE MY DAY! So excited to watch the reaction!
What the hell, dude This movie has NEVER made me cry before, but here I am sobbing uncontrollably right along with you. 😔😿
The older I get the cheesier this movie feels, but man watching this as a kid it was glorious. It still gets by on humor and the charm of the supporting characters. It’s just really fun.
I’ll never think of this movie as cheesy because it has it’s funny, serious, sad, romantic and exciting moments
@@ZeroOskul go back to your bloated Marvel crap, simpleton
I know I’m late on this, but I don’t know what was better, the reaction or your dogs. Amazing stuff all around 🔥🔥
"I'm not crying, you're crying!"
The moment I saw you start to cry, I realized I'd been crying for about 5 minutes. And I've seen this thing a dozen times. :)
I just love how in tune your dogs are to you and how you’re feeling. They’re adorable.
I’ve seen this movie TONS of times but I still cry my eyes out every time! But I absolutely love this movie
You noticing all the stars in the movie is the best part 🤣🤣🤣
Your Co pilots were so sweet, adorable and caring. I could really see how aware they are of your feelings this time and especially both of them at the same time. For some reason whenever I see Armageddon it makes me want to watch Con Air. It must be the Steve Buscemi connection.❤
Best reactor TEAM in RUclips. You and your pups are awesome, bro. Love y’all!
"you can't be john coffey and act like this" KILLED ME almost choked on my drink
Gruber was the guy that helped Stark turn off the bomb.
The guy who came up with the idea to blow the asteroid from the middle was Jason Isaacs. He plays villainess characters a lot and he is damn good at it but I love him in everything he does. He was the bad guy in The Patriot and he played Daddy Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
