These videos helped me quit my first time and now the second run. I watch them to see what my future will look like and the first 4 to 5 days so far are spot on! Thanks for making these videos.
On day 17 here. Today has been so difficult, compared to the last few days. I feel empty and I'm beginning to forget my reasons and motivation for quitting. I feel like I'm back at day 2 or 3. I guess this is the 3 week psychological withdrawal I've read about...
lol on day 17 here! funny - i was remembering this video yesterday while being around cigarette smokers. Firstly, could I take a puff? No! Then - OMG I am getting their second hand smoke and I feel satisfaction in my brain ! Did nicotine get in my system?!! But either way- did not take a puff! Thanks for these videos!
I’m re watching this on my 14th day just knowing there’s other people who can relate to this shitty experience I went through just makes me feel so much better
Hey dude, I'm a few days behind you on day 14. I've been following you since your 1st quit, and your videos have really helped me get into the mindset needed for quitting. Thanks a million and more power to you mate!
Really good. The cravings are mostly gone by now. One thing I have noticed about nicotine cravings (and I'm sure this extends to any addiction) is that when you're in the middle of one, it feels like you have always been craving a cigarette, and will never not crave a cigarette. Keeping a rational perspective is important. I think the hardest part for me is dealing with the diminishing psychological returns; On day 5 for instance, you remember day 1 and think "Shit, I feel so much better! I'm breaking free!" and you get to feel good about yourself. Once you get a little further down the track the mental rewards become less and less. Day 14 doesn't feel a whole lot different from day 12. I suppose it becomes less about being driven, and more about being committed. Anyway I'll stop rambling. Looking forward to more vids! .
Wow, those are all great points. I think you're absolutely right. If you don't mind, I may talk about some of those points in my next video. Just remember that those cravings can jump back and surprise you at any time. You've already proven that you have the skill set to beat them, so just stick to your commitment wherever they arise. Really awesome work, Jordan. If you think back to how you felt on Day 1, you probably weren't sure you'd make it through the day, let alone 14 of them. Let's keep each other on track.
I got into a car today, with a friend who still smokes, omg the smell. I’m on day 17 today, very depressed, because it had become my emotional foundation, my partner, my holiday, my family and my religion. Removing all those things from your life is always going to be difficult. The addiction tries to convince me that any thing I do, however good, is meaningless, fake, not real, without the stamp of approval that a cigarette is. I know that’s rubbish, but when you are single for life, that smoking has a special role. Even so, I don’t want to die like my parents of smoking, so whatever life looks like, it is not going to involve smoking.
