Wonderful for Eva to be meeting her Lithuanian grandparents -- again? The windsock directs, and it must be nice to be able to take off/land in *_any direction._* A true air *_field._*
That flock has been in that place for ages. They are not used anymore. That place is a parachooting club, they use one AN-2 and some newer model for skyjumping. You can search on Google Kaunas parachooting club or Pociunai 🙂
What a wonderful experience!!!! And to think it all started when a random person you met said something like - 'I know someone you should meet'. (if I remember right).
I’m a former EAA/SSA pilot. Great video to see flying in Europe! Nice for you to see family. Hope everyone is OK. If you are able to do more about your travels, I appreciate map/chart views fo understand geography. Don’t know about national rules/laws, but be careful it is not USA! Thx for bringing us along. 😊😊😊 John Ken
What a memorable experience. The one glider hanging right by the door of the big hanger (LY-BHL) is the same type as what I learned to fly in back in the 70's, a Scheibe Bergfalke. Our soaring club had one here in Canada. I will email a picture of it to you.
Hello Jonas, Silvjia and Ava from Sydney Australia. The U.S Ohio corn farmers build those soft plastic hanger tunnels for machine and fertilizer storage. However "they" build a 3' or 4' concrete block perimeter wall and the frame gets anchored to it. 🌏🇦🇺
You don't have to worry about Patey, he's now into building an airpark for the rich & famous. The average aviator is now a thing of the past for him, he's evolved into a military contractor and his millions are now top priority. Airplane projects to entertain middle class aviators are a thing of the past.
Thanks for the video. The atmosphere of the airfield is the same as at our small airports near Kyiv. I really liked flying on Buzovaya and Borodyanka. With your help, I hope to fly again! Long live and prosper: Lithuania, the USA, and Ukraine!
24:49 --> there is dynamic wt-9 made in Prievidza Slovakia - it's licensed light sport aircraft...... I also really like that airplane built and that luxurious seats ❤🛩️. Can't wait to see next video from Lithuania 😊
It's Pociūnai airport. It has been known among European pilots (and not only) as European and world gliding championships (including junior ones) been taking place there.
What a great video! I remember the hangars you showed me when I was in Lithuania. So nice to see your dad. We'll see each other again at the General Meeting of European Microlight Federation EMF next year.
Awesome airplane. I have been watching this channel for many years, I still wonder about the right seat thing. Then I see your beautiful daughter give a high five with her left hand I laughed. My daughter is a south paw (left handed person) so are my two granddaughters and grandson. I have told my grand kids I will pay for all flying lessons here in Texas. I do not expect nor will I accept a right seat pilot unless I am dead in the left seat LMAO. Eva, keep them in line if you can. God Bless your family in all things. Much love from Texas.
Cool to see this airport again! I once brought a Yak-52 there for a engine overhaul (to Thermikas). We even stayed at their rooms on the airfield. Really good memories. I talked to a pilot on the field and asked if it would be possible to fly a Wilga. His answer was: Why do you want to fly tractor? Unfortunately there was no one there to give me a ride. Other fun fact: They train around 14 year olds to fly glider in a very small single seat glider comparable to the SG-38 (just modern materials). You can even see it on 4:35sec on the left side (look next to the 01 of the glider tail). Really cool, they just tow them behind a truck and the youngsters can learn to fly while beeing towed over the field by a car.
3:58 - it's a PZL 101 Gawron (eng: Rook). It is a Polish modification of a Soviet YAK-12. PZL-104 WILGA was basically designed to be PZL-101's successor.
Very family and heartfelt video. Flew for many years in Latvia and Lithuania many years ago, love your places and people. My full respect and Sub for your growing!!!!
Clicked on this video just because it said Lithuania, without realizing that it's the same airfield I had my first glider flight at. Amazing video man.
Once again it's so nice seeing y'all out together as family. The girls are beautiful. 🤫⚘️⚘️🤎 As inexpensive and seemingly reliable that Chec engine would be a good one to fly. Nice "one off" bird.... Thanks so much for sharing... Blessings ❤👍❤️👋 Enjoy your visit.
Very cool seeing Sylvia looking very at home in Lithuania. She didn't even look twice at the shirtless old man walking his cow on a leash.😂 Great times all three.
PZL-Okecie PZL-101 Gawron THE registration says that's the type of aircraft it is. I found an old photograph of it from the registration. I never heard of them before but what do I know?
You are very privileged to have homebuilt aircraft contacts in Western Europe. There is a lot of aircraft equipment manufacturers looking for NA representatives, and some business opportunities. Great video 😉🇨🇦
3:55 plane is PZL 101 GAWRON is Polish agriculture and utility plane after this plane there was PZL 104 Wilga STOL aircraft. .... I really like your videos 👍
Hey I'm John blazt from consul Saskatchewan and it's a blessing to watch your videos. I'm starting a RUclips channel and I was just wondering what would be a good drone to start with
Technically neither. The correct term is PRT - Power Recovery Turbine. The turbine is directly connected to the engine shaft. It doesn't increase manifold pressure.
Understand that it is mechanically driven off the engine, probably a centrifugal supercharger. Not a turbo charger. But doesn't it have too increase manifold pressure? Otherwise what's the point?
Does one of your parent is from Lithuania ? Cuz when I started following u, I ve noticed that your name and your surname is lithuanian origin. But your dialect is american :D SO Im just been curious :)

Never been to Lithuania, but I'm adding it to my bucket list. Great video!
3:58 This one is PZL-101, but PZL-101 is the further evolution of the Yak-12, which looks exactly the same
Yes it is PZL-101 Gawron (Rook).
Lithuania looks like a beautiful country! I love watching these adventures.
Thanks, you are welcome!
That was a large flock of AN-2's too.
That flock has been in that place for ages. They are not used anymore. That place is a parachooting club, they use one AN-2 and some newer model for skyjumping. You can search on Google Kaunas parachooting club or Pociunai 🙂
Yeah it's an often used airfield in lithuania
I love the visibility in that airplane! It's how every small airplane should be designed!
That was a very cool plane.
a nice adventure for you to take us on thank you !!
Pzl-101 Gawron. Built in Warsaw PZL - Yak12 derivative. They were manufactured before pzl 104 wilgas.
What a wonderful experience!!!!
And to think it all started when a random person you met said something like - 'I know someone you should meet'. (if I remember right).
It was actually his sister-in-law.

Nice one! Great to see Povilas, he’s a great person. More Lithuania please!
Family time is the best time. You guys look so happy - love it!
It is an awesome and gentle aircraft! Really beautiful! Aviation is a language understood by all who fly! Lithuania is majestic!!!🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂
Wow man been a while since I've seen your channel like you just got with Silvia , Glade things are going good for you and the wife !

Coincidently the yellow and blue plain they flew is naimed Volungė, which means Oriole in Lithuanian, which in Polish is Wilga.
Very cool stuff as usual.
@@scottwooster4102 thanks!

Travel, with some aviation thrown in ... Great day to be in Lithuania..beautiful country btw...😊
There’s a damaged Wilga project on the Seattle Craig’s list now. You should buy it and restore it.
Fascinating!! seemed you had a smile the whole time
Super trip, lots of planes - and wow - your little girl is growing up so fast. She is just gorgeous, taking after her mom. :)
Howdy from Minnesota!! Fantastic episode!!
Crasy how the world is small, I was just there last summer and was towed by that PZL 101, great video!
more please

Great video! ❤ the wilgas and the AN2s and all the gliders! What is the blue and white radial they were pushing into the hangar? Tow plane?
How cool is that. Thanks for sharing. You and Sylvia have a wonderful life. And little one looks just like both of you!

That "knob" on the exhaust manifold is there because they are a modular design to work with more or less cylinders

4:07 PZL-101 Gawron, predecessor to the PZL-104 Wilga. They both use the thirsty 9 cylinder radial Ivchenko AI-14 engine.
Probably a heat muff on the exhaust manifold, either carb heat or cabin heat.
Awesome Video!
When he’s talking about the “turbine” that adds horsepower, is he meaning a supercharger of some kind?
Yes. It is called "turbokompresorius" in Lithuanian.
So well built plane.
Cool vid. Beautiful country you are a good pilot
You need to get into a glider for a soaring flight while you're there.
And again you didn't come to EYVP!
It's a Czech engine. Get it??
Check Engine.
Hahaha
