FYI: The optimal ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids 1:1. The body uses omega-3s to reduce inflammation. Omega-6s increase inflammation. Just be aware that sunflower seed oil has an average omega 6-to-3 ration of 40:1.
Thanks! I was making som breakfast muffins that called for 1/4 cup of ground flax that I didn't have on hand. I did get the flax seeds to grind but now I know that ground sunflower seeds would have worked.

That's a good idea, but just remember to add some acid like apple cider vinegar to help neutralize the color reaction from sunflower seeds.
