I love the soft top in my JK 2 door. I find it so much quieter than what I remember in my old YJ’s. Makes me feel like I’m driving a classic Jeep.
Thanks for this one! Love to see a step by step on taking the top down. I’ve had mine for about a year and haven’t used anything but the SunRider feature. That rear hatch window makes going to the store sooo much easier with no zippers! My 2010 had what was likely the original soft top, so the zippers, even after I lubricated them, were really sticky. I don’t have the wind problem with the front channel, but I paid a shop to put mine on, after watching numerous videos on install and realizing I was spending a lot on the top and wanted it on correctly. Plus I didn’t have a whole weekend to devote to the project (!).
I love my trecktop pro I haven't had a chance to take the windows out but will be doing it this weekend.

I just picked up one of these things used. Excited to install in the next month after I validate I have all of the hardware. You commented on the many, many types of foam you tried and used to improve the seal on the front edge? It would be nice to see a short video of all the areas that you have mentioned as a weakness, and what specifically you've done to reduce noise/leaks and give us some tips! (much appreciated!). I would also love to see that hyper lapse video as a separate video (larger) and slower explaining the steps better. I'm shocked how little instructions there are on the process of peeling back the sunder top, taking the windows out, etc... I'm sure once I complete the full evolution once it will be self explanatory...but a quick video would be cool to see! I've subscribed and excited to see more about this top from you! Thanks

Great video. Well, I do think quite a while to get the TrekTop Pro. Main reason was our two dogs. I had to open the rear window 3 to 4 times a day. And as you mentioned, the zippers are a PITA. Even more after 16month the zippers didn't work anymore. So I left it open Summer and wiinter. And winter can be cold and snowy in Switzerland. Now we have transformed it into an Overland Rig and just finished to built the rear Storage Solution. The dogs are behind the front seats now, but all our equipoment is in the back. So this means we need to open it again a lot of times. Long story short, What I need to knowis the mesurements of the slant in the back. Can you tell me teh angle which its more inside. I don"t know if it will fit now woth my storage unit. BTW you can watch it in my channel how it looks like. ANyway, I like your videos very much. Keep on. Have nice day.

I love my oem soft top but I also am not a fan of the zippered back window
And also the fact that you can get in the vehicle from the outside (easy for breaking into)
On these treck tops can you get inside the vehicle from outside via zippers or windows?
hey! i have the same top on my 2 door 12 jk. ive had issues as well. the header is EXTREMELY LOUD. i found the issue was my jeeps windshield channel was dry rotten. me and my dad replaced it. now my back side window is rattling :( ugh

Water hasn't really been a problem for me thankfully, the tailgate seals up nice along with the sides. There have been leaks but nothing on a regular basis, and I had the same leaks with the OEM hard top.. the OEM foam on the top front corners or the doors is usually my problem..
Can you show how you removed the top ? up close
looks like the frame stays and all you remove is the fabric
Did you do the install or have it done by a dealer/installer? Just curious....
I did it myself. It's not something that should require a dealer install. Taking the top off is essentially uninstalling it each time... Just the rear frame stays, and the side pieces which are held in with the quick k disconnect knobs.. 👍
For the price, those little negative things would drive me crazy. I think I may just go Mopar again. Great video! Thank you!
What do you recommend at Mopar? Just got a 2017 Wrangler, hard top has got to go. Torn between Bestop Protek and.....I don't know...what do you recommend?
Is this the pro 2.0? Have they fixed any of theese issues with the 2.0?
