- During the holiday season, one of the most frequently asked questions we hear at Masienda is, "can I make tamales with masa harina?" The answer is yes, absolutely. And they're delicious. Making tamales with my friends in New Mexico was a joy! My family in New England now want to make homemade tamales. This video is clear and precise---perfect !for bringing a bit of the southwest to New Hampshire!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that the video was helpful and that you're eager to try the dish. Happy cooking!
this is an excellent excellent video
We're glad you think so!
Loved it! I made them a few years ago and put the masa to the “floating in water” test. Mine flunked, but still tasted great. I noted you didn’t bother with this step.
Thank you for your positive feedback! We appreciate your observation about the "floating in water" test. While we didn't showcase that step in this particular video, it's indeed a practice we value and often include. Each approach has its nuances, and we're glad to hear your version still tasted great despite the test result! If you have any more questions or insights, feel free to share. Happy cooking!
Fantastic!
Never
Considered putting different salsas on after the meat is shredded.

Mexican Beef suet in my UK opinion ... nice dish !
Does suet mean something different in UK? In US beef suet is beef kidney fat.
She is freaking beautiful.
There, I said it.
Also, good tamale video. Suerte
Thank you for posting!!! I'm also in Vegas and tried all your masa, last night we made tamales with blue corn masa and it took forever...any tips on why it took so long? Thank you😊
Hi there! We're so happy to hear that you made tamales using our blue masa harina. Regarding your question, several factors could contribute to longer cooking times for tamales. It's possible that the tamales were packed more tightly, the masa was thicker, or the pot was overcrowded. Additionally, variations in heat levels or differences in the size of tamales can impact cooking times. Adjustments in these aspects may help speed up the cooking process next time. 😊 Let us know if you have any additional questions!
@@Masienda gracias!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a great video tutorial. I love covering the pot's ears so it won't hear the chisme. :)
Thank you so much! We're glad you enjoyed the tutorial. And hey, covering the pot's ears is a smart move - can't be too careful with those chismes! 😄 Happy tamale making!
