After the first time not being able to fit that blank on that lathe, someone needs to do some modifications to the lathe!! Necessity is the mother of invention.
It great to see your process of production, from making the pattern to making the prop from the pattern. It’s also good to see you’re getting assistance in the shop, family and pets too. Keep up the great work Alaina, you rock.
I was thinking that you could have a larger diameter following wheel on the upper blank, or just adjust the lower saw to be closer to the follower wheel. Maybe someone else has already mentioned this, I tend to be Capt. Obvious.
I agree with other commenters and enjoy the narration! If you cut off too much, can you glue a piece back on and continue or is the entire thing ruined?
Hi Alaina, This prop is taking much more work. I wouldn't fault you for being cautious, as one mistake takes you back to square one. Hi to Grandma and your dad. You all stay safe.
Hello to all of you with two and four legs. This is why it's called Handwork. I've done my share of kneeling in my life so I can feel with you. Interesting video as always when you post one. BTW ... Was that sawdust @ 3:00 ? ... I thought is was a new kind of makeup 😂😉
@@CulverProps .. Oh sure .... You can market it under Alania Fairy Flare. BTW it looks very good on you. I'm sure your husband will be proud to take you out when wearing your new product 😉.. Take care 👋👋
My vote goes for making a add lathe wheel extension 2" and 1" radius extension should be reasonably easy to make for roughing ♥️♥️♥️
