    My vote goes for making a add lathe wheel extension 2" and 1" radius extension should be reasonably easy to make for roughing ♥️♥️♥️

    After the first time not being able to fit that blank on that lathe, someone needs to do some modifications to the lathe!! Necessity is the mother of invention.

    I was thinking that you could have a larger diameter following wheel on the upper blank, or just adjust the lower saw to be closer to the follower wheel. Maybe someone else has already mentioned this, I tend to be Capt. Obvious.

    I agree with other commenters and enjoy the narration! If you cut off too much, can you glue a piece back on and continue or is the entire thing ruined?

    This prop is taking much more work. I wouldn't fault you for being cautious, as one mistake takes you back to square one. Hi to Grandma and your dad. You all stay safe.
