Kaduppam Kurachu LIVE : ലിവിംഗ് ടുഗദർ ബന്ധം നിയമപരമായ വിവാഹമല്ലാത്തതിനാൽ ഗാർഹിക പീഡന നിരോധന നിയമത്തിലെ 498 (എ) അനുസരിച്ചുള്ള കുറ്റം പങ്കാളിക്ക് ബാധകമല്ലെന്ന് ഹൈക്കോടതി. ലിവിങ് ടുഗതർ പങ്കാളിയെ ഭർത്താവെന്ന് പറയാനാകില്ലെന്നും ഹൈക്കോടതി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. എറണാകുളം സ്വദേശിയായ യുവാവുമായി ലിവ് ഇൻ ബന്ധത്തിലായിരുന്ന സമയത്ത് ശാരീരികവും മാനസികവുമായ പീഡനത്തിന് ഇരയായി എന്നു കാട്ടി കോഴിക്കോട് സ്വദേശിനി നൽകിയ പരാതി റദ്ദാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടാണ് ഹൈക്കോടതി ഇക്കാര്യം വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്.
The High Court held that the offense under Section 498(a) of the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act was not applicable to the spouse as the relationship of living together was not a legal marriage. The High Court also clarified that a living together partner cannot be called a husband.
