    Very good video! Took your time and showed where the tricky parts are. One “suggestion” on removing the nuts within the assembly and not losing them. Could you not add a small piece of something sticky, even a piece of gum just to hold the nut in the socket? Just a thought.

    • @unclemarksdiyauto
      @unclemarksdiyauto  Год назад

      You could also lightly wrap the socket around the nut with masking tape just enough that the nut does not fall out, but tight enough on the socket so the tape stays on the socket. Great idea and suggestion you have, Golf Guy! Thanks for chiming in!

      Well I tried. Never had one off before, so Imdid my best. I didn't break anything so that is always a plus! LOL! Poor van needs a bit more attention. Summer tires, and rear brakes. Also have a gas cap message. Cleaned the filler neck. Didn't help. Bought a MOPAR cap from the dealer. Message was gone for a while but message has come back. (Not sure how many cycles it takes to turn it on)

    Worked for me only big difference, the screws for my brake light were 7mm not 5.5mm. This was for a Vw Routan. reassembly of the spoiler is very tedious lol

    • @unclemarksdiyauto
      @unclemarksdiyauto  Год назад +1

      Good to know, Polychro. Interesting that they would not use the same bolt sizes. Either way, I am glad you got your high mount working. You saved your self a few bucks for sure. Thanks for watching and for your comment. It is always nice to know if and when a video is helpful.

      @@unclemarksdiyauto yea cause the Chrysler Dodge and VW are almost the same car, esp all the logos on the inside of the car have the chrysler logo lol,
      Only issue i have i need to take off the spoiler again, cause the plastic pieces went missing and then one of the 10mm mounts then when i finally got it back on they appeared at the bottom of the door. I was also changing the right light mount on the gate, so they must of somehow came out from there. Overall thank you for this Video.

    There is 4 screws to hold it down, and on clip in the middle to hold it down? Because on my 2014 spoiler it looks like there might be 6 paces for screws. I havent took of the liner inside to see the screws from inside yet.

    • @unclemarksdiyauto
      @unclemarksdiyauto  Год назад +1

      Now you have me thinking. Either way, it will be very similar. Once you have the inside plastic off, you will be able to tell. I honestly don't recall on the newer ones, Dean.

      Mine blew of in the wind. I bough my van 3rd hand, there must have been a problem with the heating in the rear window, they washed it with the wrong stuff. The plastic on the spoiler needs to be fixed to be able to hold the screws. I have to melt the plastic, and add to them to thicken them all up. On top of it all the light's on the dash all went on, and the wind shield wipers, lol. Drove me crazy, still can't find the reason. Do you have any tips??? Any video's you recommend?@@unclemarksdiyauto
