8:10-9:10 THANK YOU . I could not figure out those dang clips. Really appreciate such a solid camera angle. Seeing you struggle as well made me feel better. I should be able to get mine off now. Liked and subbed thanks!!!
Thanks for your comment, Recycle Please. This white van is my boss's van. We own teh silver 2010 you might have seen in some of our videos. The 2010 & old have a separate playlist. The 2011 & newer have their own as well.
I have a '12 GC. It takes 2 H11 bulbs on each side. The bulb on the driver's side looks like it's going to be the hard one, but it was actually easier. The passenger side is tight with the wire when it's turned to 3 o'clock. Putting it back in without the wire connect (which is what I did,) isn't necessarily easier. Getting the bulb into place and then the connector on the bulb are both done by feel with very little room. Removing the top of the air cleaner doesn't help. If you could take the whole air cleaner out, that would give you lots of room. However, it's still a quick job to replace both once you know where to feel at. My new LED bulbs are working great.
@@lindax911 Glad you got it done, Linda. It is always worth trying first, before paying someone to do it. I will have to do a video doing the drivers bulb one day. They sure don’t make it easy! (The manufacturers)
You are welcome my friend! People are asking for me to do one on the drivers side which they claim is harder. Hoping to do one the next time I have my buddies van at my place. Stay well Simdnkasr, you and your family.
@@unclemarksdiyauto-I was going to say the same but being that it was a customerservice van they normally want just the blown bulb changed.i was told if u do one do both so it looks uniform and no troubles later on
@unclemarksdiyauto -the other thing u forgot to mention was the lube used between the bulb and the connector.i guess it's not really needed but when u buy the bulb they give u the pace of lube that goes with it.
What about the marker lights? How would you take that light bulb out? I have to replace mine on my 2012 and dang it, I can’t seem to loosen it to remove it 11:46
I am not 100% sure, Patti, but you may be able to access the bulbs through the wheel well like on this GM vehicle. ruclips.net/video/yvBgmw48Cm4/видео.html
It will be tight. Can you just wiggle it back and forth and when it gets back to the left or counter clockwise position, it should come out. No extra secret way to remove it I am afraid.
@@imafunguy936 No problem. It comes out the exact same as the drivers side. I have had other projects where one side is easy and the other side is a complete fight!
@@unclemarksdiyauto hi yes that side was a complete fight so I had no choice but to be destructive. I ended up using a scissors to break the connector out from the bulb and then used the scissors to push the broken bulb inwards into the headlight and then put the new bulb and connector back in. Wondering if the old bulb and its attached metal piece are safe in the headlight because there's no way to get that out of there lol without absolutely shattering the headlight glass open. My hands were tied. I had no choice lol
@@unclemarksdiyauto when its hot in Toronto, it gets really hot which is why I'm wondering if its safe in there. Trying to picture the worst that could happen.
Thank you uncle Mark and a pox on the designers at Dodge. I wonder if there is a 10 year old on standby at garages to twist these sockets, because there is no room for man hands down there.
Easier with the complete filter box out. Maybe I will do one on the drivers side bulbs and mention pulling the filter box on the passenger side. (Or maybe I should just redo this video! So many things on the schedule at the moment!)
Which bulb? One of the headlights? They turn off when a signal is blinking. Computer controls that. So it is possible something with computer. Also might be a fuse for each headlight. Is that what you are asking?
The lowbeam on the passenger side is out. I can reach it, but all it does is wiggle a little. I can't get it to move the quarter turn to replace the bulb
@@stilljustabill It is a tight one for sure. I have not tried this Bill, but maybe take the complete air filter box out, upper & lower sections, and I believe that should give you room for your hand to turn it.
I am not a legal expert Dean, but I am sure they can! Here in Canada I found out it is illegal to put LED headlight bulbs in a vehicle that didn't come like that from the factory. (So you might get 2 tickets? 1 for too bright, 1 for wrong equipment?) The 2011 & newer vans have 2 bulbs per side. I just did a video on a 2010 that only has 1 bulb per side. I did a comparison of brightness and color. Here is the video: ruclips.net/video/F-5OiVoEDNM/видео.html
Yours would be too if you had lived on the long gravel road they do, LOL! Weather permitting, when those roads are much better, the van is a nice clean white. Hope the video was of some help.

Fixed my headlight 2012 Routan thank you!!
Great to hear, Jordan! I have a playlist on the Rotan & Grand caravan. Thanks for stopping by & your comment!
Very detailed and helpful video. Thank you!
You are so welcome Abdulkader. Don’t forget to subscribe. I have many more caravan videos on the way.
Great video it was well worth watching. Thanks for doing it.
Thanks Craig. Hope it helps folks see it can be done at home!
This video helped a lot A++
Thanks Michael. More videos on this van soon.

Thank you sir 👍
You are welcome. I have a pretty large playlist now of Caravans I have repaired.
Helpful. Thank you so much
You are welcome Huu. I have other videos on this van on my channel in a playlist and more to come soon!
1 year later first time seeing August 7 2022
Ah. Lots of Grand Caravan videos in my playlist VVS.
Nice camera work!
Thanks Saxgirl! Hope it was helpful in changing these bulbs.

Yes, the good views and clear directions were very helpful. Best of about a dozen videos I auditioned. Thank you. 🏆
What about the driver's side? It must be a different procedure.
I have not replaced that side, yet. I will try to do a video replacing the drivers side next time I can get ahold of this van.

Does it have a lot more room on the left side? I need to replace my Lo beam in there. The battery side.
It’s a little less room but it’s doable without removing anything.
Thank You! @@unclemarksdiyauto

Hey I couldn't take out the passenger side low beam. Is there a click or extra way to pull it out? Its not twisting much and coming out.

If a person changes to LED light bulbs 💡 on a 2014 town and country van, could the police 🚔 pull you over and fine you for being to bright???
