  • Great exercise for developing strength in the quads, in particular the VMO (Vastus Intermedius Oblique), and the patella tendon. Using these, isometrics and heavy slows as part of an overall programme have been great in reducing pain and restoring function in my left knee. You can reap the benefit at any level provided there is progressive overload, good form and pain free.

found i can do toes pointing the wall. depth is set by when knees hit the wall. better if wall has a hip high railing. Like a twit i did them in the shower when no rubber matting. felt good to do calr raises at the bottom. also i tried swaying knees left to right slowly to sort of give different stimulus to the knees. I think'll keep doing in shower but get a rubber mat. Just feels like a good thing to do.

Most people would have made that a 25 minute vid with silly graphics and a lot of snips from films. Thank you for not doing that.
