I've been waiting for an open-world Star War game for a few years now and this game looks amazing. It would be cool if Kay could wear a disguise in the game and I wonder if while exploring in the wild any dangerous creatures that would be excellent I can't wait to play!
If the game only has five planets but each planet has a large map than that sounds fine to me

It might actually be a decent game but I am pretty sure there will be a huge backlash after people realize the open world is just a handful of planets and the hyperspace travel is just a loading screen...

When they say they are going to delay Star Wars projects I get worried man. I feel like every project that gets “delayed” never releases or releases way too late.

4:55 - "you can even shoot at explosive barrels that will help you take out enemies". For 2024, this is an unprecedented innovation that has not previously been used in any game. Nothing less than a gameplay revolution.
Excited to see what comes of this, I think Ubisoft has a big opportunity here to do right by the fandom, and if they handle it well, I can imagine them expanding or adapting this formula to fit in other settings in the Star Wars universe / timeline. Here’s to hoping the gameplay holds up!
Its ubisoft, the story is gonna suck ass as usual. I think they will take the lazy route and try to make her a female han solo but with no personality. I wish they'd make the character a bounty hunter like that shape shifting female from attack of the clones
I dunno bout u guys. But from my perception, this is just another female lead, Nier Automata 2B and Horizons Aloy style. But only now Kay Vess looks like a mom over 35 yrs old with a very not nice ASS. 2B and Aloy has some very nice ass and body figure, if ur familiar. Unless they really aged her down show some skin, looks like a Korean mmo, Black Desert style. Then people will buy, if they stick to now, shes a hard sell bro...

6 planets is enough in my book. I'd like 6 main planets that are hand crafted 100% maybe a few ship types you can land on, and more weapon types. Like assault blaster or a shotgun blaster.

Star Wars Galaxies was and still is the most immersive Star Wars experience. In an MMORPG with very few Jedi and no instructions on how to unlock Jedi, it was rare to see a Jedi and especially see them fighting. Players would stop what they're doing just to watch because of how rare that was early on. Just like the Star Wars universe. What a game
"Jedi Syndrome" is the only realistic way to make a quality game in this genre and setting.

Cannot wait. Love the Tom Clancy game and Watch Dogs so this coming from Massive/Ubisoft has me superhyped! It does have a big boast to live up to if they want to convince me they can do open world Star Wars better than SWG tbh. But this team is GOOD at world building and story telling and their game engine is solid and proven for sure. The devs + Star Wars make this the most anticipated game in a decade or more for me. Plus... Frontiers of Pandora being hugely popular is going to help it a lot!
How you're explaining it raising, And lowering reputation with the factions. It reminds me of a game for ps2 called mercenaries. That game was interesting and exciting in its own way
I just looked it up and learned it was made by the same studio that made the original Battlefront 2 🔥💯 And LucasArts published it.. That's so cool. I think you're onto something there might be a lot of inspiration pulled from that game to be honest!
They could have easily made a Star Wars version of the game. One of the cheats in it let you play as Han Solo.
You don't think it will be delayed? There's a few RUclipsrs that think Ubisoft is majorly delaying the game because they're going to meet their financial quotas, so they want to shelf this to boost next year, I'm very disappointed this and BMW are my 2 most wanted games
I hope not. Disney really hammers these deadlines onto these publishers and devs, and they said it's getting pushed back to the next fiscal quarter so there's already been a small delay. Nothing major hopefully
@@TheStarBazaar I hope you're right, I'm really looking forward to Outlaws, Survivor was a hell of great game, I didn't run into issues, I've a 4090 with a 7950 and a comparable motherboard so it played pretty well, I did have issues replaying it, kept crashing on Jedha on epic settings prior to patches

I'm cautiously hyped.
Looks cool but i wish you could change hairstyle and color and have shops in different planets with lots of clothes that match the world from pants to shirts to skirts snd dresses and robes. That would be cool to make the character more you!

We can trust Ubisoft when it comes to create huge open world games. I loved playing Odyssey, the immersion is really cool, and the few things this star wars game seems to borrow from Battlefront 2 adds a good action vibe to it. I think this game can be really fun to play. I'm sure Ubisoft would love to make other star wars games in the future so they're going all in with this one

I'm not really worried about the number of planets in the game because I see this as a game where it's pretty easy to insert DLC content. If they want to make money while they work on their next game I expect one or two major DLC's a year for a few years post launch if the game does well. So hopefully by the time the game is done we might get 3-5 more full planets added after the fact with maybe a couple smaller zones centered on a DLC sidequest.
No Jedi involved, hope there is a mod/hack to play as a jedi with light saber also to have your own droid and the millenium falcon ...

The original SWG, before they caved and made it like WoW, was the largest most open world mmorpg of all time. I've never seen anything come close to that open sandbox feel, and probably never will.
There's already some similarities between this and rdr2. If it's anything like rdr2, then this game could be among some of the greats. As long as they keep the game updated with DLCs and other things and don't abandon the game like EA did with battlefront 2. I'm so stoked for this
Not continuing to develop a game post-launch is not abandonment. If the product is done, it is done. Anything beyond that is a bonus, not the standard.
Hope the gameplay is way better than rdr2, it’s so fucking clunky and feels extremely sluggish. I get they were going for realism but that doesn’t = fun.

It looks amazing, but i was hoping for some co-op gameplay, like Ghost recon wild lands, or division.
on the trailer there is naboo to, there are more planets i guess and more come with dlc. Game looks like the best game ever not only because its star wars, it looks clean and the guy make a lot of good games allready. And its for PC to masterrace! ANd i guess the game release is mid 2025, its normal for massiv and ubisoft!

Lucas Arts should have released a Star Wars version of Mercenaries on the PS2. One of the cheats in that game let you play as Han Solo and that's how I always played it!

I wholeheartedly disagree with the Jedi syndrome comment. Starfield is a perfect example of why. I would much rather have 5 hand-crafted areas to visit than 1000 procedurally generated planets that recycle points of interest to the point where you constantly feel like you explored a planet you've never been to before. Now, the Jedi games are a little more linear/sandbox buy design. So, this game to step up to 5 planets that each equate to 2-3 areas of AC Odyssey actually sounds like a really good compromise as long as those areas are interesting. There's always going to be a limit. Do the devs spends a decade hand crafting a bunch of maps/planets or so they dip into procedurally generated areas which just can't match handcrafted yet. I'm sure one day, with AI help, procedurally generated maps, can be as interesting as handcrafted maps, but not yet.

It's not "just a human" it's the gunslinger archetype. There is a reason Han Solo was such a popular character.

It is incredibly unrealistic to explore the entire Star Wars Galaxy in one game. Who cares if both Jedi games have 5-6 locations in each game. There are still the 2 best Star Wars Games there are.

I mean, look at how visually and all three of those Star Wars Games look. I would rather have a handful of planets with a lot of meaningful things to accomplish than to have a massive open world that's ultimately empty.
@@TheStarBazaar Procedural generation has too many weaknesses. Star Wars has such a handcrafted feel from the get go that I think current technology couldn't replicate that feeling.

Hey, look I get it. Jedi had only a few planets to explore. Just like literally every other game. Battlefront doesn't count because it is just battle maps, not full exploration. Pretty much every franchise can only explore 1 to 5 places in their universe and 90% of those are just different biomes on the same planet. So, can you give Jedi credit where it is due? Survivor was amazing after they worked out the kinks. Compared to other Star Wars Games it has got far more exploration as well. Reducing that triumph to "Jedi syndrome" (a term you had to define because no one says that) is just ridiculous.
Dont know why I was getting excited about this game, I probably wont be able to get it without buying a new console first anyway...

This ideia of "exploring the whole galaxy" doesnt work. The more planets you create, the less detail and quality they will have, starfield is the best example. Less is more.

The only reason I'm not going to be playing this game is because you have no choice in your character that's a hard NO for me you should have all the say on what you're character is in open world game and not have it pre-selected for you.

It's not a random girl, its the Han Solo archetype, which a lot of people love. I think it'll be fun in a whole different way than Cal has been. I'm hyped.
