- In this Star Wars Outlaws new gameplay breakdown & walkthrough, we walkthrough brand new early access Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay. This Star Wars Outlaws gameplay gives us a great look at blaster combat, stealth, space combat, open world exploration, Kijimi, and main story details! Huge thank you to Ubisoft for providing us this early access Star Wars Outlaws gameplay so that we could put this breakdown together!
Last Outlaws video, we broke down the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer that was released at the Summer Game Fest. This trailer gave us a great look at Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, planets, and even confirmed that Lando Calrissian will be in the game! Recently, we had a Star Wars Outlaws news update video where we broke down the new gameplay that was revealed by NVIDIA for Star Wars Outlaws. This footage gave us a brand new look at Star Wars Outlaws and some features that will be available in the game thanks to NVIDIA such as DLSS 3.5.
In a recent video, we broke down the DLC & Pre Order bonus details that were revealed via GameStop, Amazon, and Target. We have also broken down new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details about the reputation system, crime syndicates, the Empire, the wanted system, and more! We also broke down new Star Wars Outlaws space open world gameplay and combat details from a new Game Informer interview with Star Outlaws developers.
We have also discussed new Star Wars Outlaws customization & DLC details that were revealed by Massive Entertainment! A few weeks ago, we got the Star Wars Outlaws Official Story Trailer and did a frame by frame breakdown of the brand new story trailer! This Star Wars Outlaws trailer confirmed that Crimson Dawn and Zerek Besh will be in the game! We also learned a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws story, gameplay, and open world details. We learn that Lady Qi’ra from Crimson Dawn will be featured in this game!
Ubisoft Forward gave us a great look at new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details! We also know now that the Star Wars Outlaws release date is August 30th and will feature a standard edition, gold edition, and ultimate edition. There will be a Star Wars Outlaws season pass that will feature story DLC and cosmetic DLC! We have broke down all of the space gameplay as well as the combat and customization details that we know about space for Star Wars Outlaws.
Star Wars Outlaws is the upcoming Ubisoft Star Wars Open World game made by Massive Entertainment. The Star Wars Outlaws release date is currently set for August 30, 2024 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where players will become Kay Vess, a clever scoundrel in the galactic underworld. The article from Star Wars states that the Star Wars Outlaws story will feature Kay “looking to attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen, all in an effort to start an new life”. Although Star Wars Outlaws is a new & original single player story with exciting new characters, we still got some familiar Star Wars planets & characters in the new trailer. This includes: Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt, Crimson Dawn, Pyke Syndicate, Canto Bight, Cantonica (The Last Jedi), Tatooine, & Kijimi (The Rise of Skywalker).
Needless to say we are INCREDIBLY excited for this game and can’t wait for more Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, trailers, story details, and news updates to breakdown and analyze on the channel! We have partnered with Ubisoft to produce this content.

so, boys, to your point, there are NPCs on land, inside of the cities, that can help you with your wanted status. I believe that during the first gameplay that was shown live on the forward stream, narrated by Mathias Carlson, you can hear an Imperial Officer leaning on the wall say “want your name cleared from the wanted list?”. This goes along with the first ever gameplay that shows a fork in the road giving you the ability to bribe an Imperial Officer, for instance. Great video, boys! Incredible value in the content, yall got that aurabesh on point 🔥🔥🔥

Creating a good star wars game with a scoundrel isn't easy task, since most fans are into lightsabers and Mandalorians. But so far I must say this game looks good, they respected the lore, the game seems to be immersive, maybe even less repetitive than former Ubisoft games.
I’m really looking forward to it, especially the idea of a reputation system within the universe of Star Wars. absolutely incredible

i think the computer terminal puzzles are like wordle. blue means that the symbol is the right symbol and right spot, yellow is right symbol wrong spot, and red is wrong symbol, wrong spot
About the wanted level thing, we can see in the Ubisoft gameplay that we where shown during game fest has an imperial officer at a outpost of sort that says something about clearing your wanted level for a price, and although that outpost was in space, I bet there’ll be an officer everywhere. You can also probably do things without clearing the wanted level, it just might make things more difficult.
I think they realy cooked I like how diverse each situation is between combat and being stealthy and going in thermal detonators guns ablaze.
Been watching a bunch of videos on this gameplay footage and this by far is the best breakdown!

When we travel to another planet we can land in different locations. For example, in Tatoine we have Mos Eslei, Bestine... But the question is, if we are in the planet, can we go from one location to another one with the speeder without a loading screen?
Because in the gameplay we saw in the ubisoft forward there were lots of jumps and cutscenes between location and from one cutscene to another we can see different daytimes in a short time. As if they were two different maps.
The Ubisoft trailer/gameplay has a ton of video cuts yeah. They wanted to show action and not the flying on speeder from location to location

Something that oozes excitement to me as well is there seems to be an achievement / reward system in place (the Fast Talk stuff) for everything you do that makes different approaches rewarding in your play style.

Almost certain when it comes to wanted levels you'll be able to pay npc's to get rid of the status in a gameplay video the released you can hear someone saying do you need to get rid of your notoriety (or something along those lines)
The snow bantha is already in The first Star Wars the clone wars serie vriefly seen but never in live action seen!
Ubisoft cooked with SW Outlaws and AC Shadows! I don't care what any of the haters of company says. Both of these games showcase was great!

It looks fantastic!!! There might be a few quirky things like the gun switch mechanic, but otherwise it looks great. I am a big Star Wars fan, played all the games, and this one looks like one of the better ones.

My only criticism really is the Takedowns don't look great especially the stormtrooper one where she just slaps his helmet but I guess we know how useless their armour is
I was just thinking the same thing. I watched that first take down and thought, "Did she just back hand that trooper...with armor...and he went unconscious from that?" At least give her a club or metal pipe or something so its a bit more believable, or maybe a tazer or SOMETHING
@Gnominious I have seen videos where she has a tazer and uses it on a death trooper so hopefully this thing will be the main animation for Takedowns instead of bare hands

Great to see your breakdown. I've been trying to keep my expectations tempered, but open world games and Star Wars are two of my favorite things. So I'm already in, but I'm glad it's looking solid so far. I don't need mind-blowing, just fun for the many hours I will put into it.

It's made by the same developer as Avatar frontiers of Pandora. If they managed the same level of world design here in Outlaws that will be absolutely amazing.

Oh god I almost cry when I saw that Uncharted-like scene in it. I'm an Assassin's Creed fan and I've scolded Ubisoft countless time for lacking cinematic custcene in new games. this tells me there are still people inside Ubisoft who know how to make cutscenes. can you let them work on the next Assassin's Creed?

Just saw the gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows pre ordered both $110 versions and before anyone says anything just know it's my money to spend and not yours.
I have the collector's edition for shadows pre-ordered, But I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get outlaws on its release date. It's not that I don't want to but I'm just not sure I can afford to get both But I hope that I can.

Its probably not called a Thermal Detonator because its not a Thermal Detonator,it didnt explode like one,i think the only problem this game will have is that its too easy,looks like its made for kids,you can just steal the key card from the boss?without any risk of getting caught?therefore bypassing any potential gameplay,how often can you do this?,it seems like the little animal you have is a tool to make things really really easy,im not pre-ordering but i hope its really good.
That's why games have difficulty settings. The trailer is most likely on easy or normal for the convenience of showcasing basic in-game mechanics.
Trailers are usually recorded on the easiest difficulty so you won't be just watching them fight enemies the whole trailer
I feel like they missed some golden opportunities that would really make this more "Smuggler-y". Such as blaster whipping your opponent instead of punching them as a takedown. Maybe even a nice dirty kick or "below the belt".
And yes, there are many different grenades in the Star Wars universe, including frag, cryo, and stun grenades. Smugglers loved having a couple grenades on hand for bad situations. Its just that the thermal detonator is the one popularized by the movies.
Still no confirmation on a smuggler system or not. Quests, yes. Factions, yes. But any actual smuggling? It would be nice to have smuggling in a Star Wars game.
Other gameplay and trailers have shown both blaster whipping and kicking opponents.
I think the climbing and facial animations need a little bit of work, but it is of course early acces. Just a little more smooth transition between different animations would do a lot!

Oh I really hope this lives up to the hype of seeing it. Ubisoft has not been good with games as of late.
An open world star wars, this should at least let us change hairstyles and colors. Have lots of varied outfits to make the character our own since we can’t create a character. Lots of pants and shirts and dresses and skirts and robes with hoods that pull up. Clothes that match the worlds. Lots of collectibles that make it worth exploring. Most clothes i have seen our very tomboyish in my opinion. Lots of things in the game look fun.
From the trailers you can notice that she is changing clothes and hairstyle so probably yes. Like a barber in town or closet in the ship for clothes probably.

Less convinced because the developers made the crew and test drive unlimited 1 and 2 and kijimi is part of Star Wars outlaws but it’s also part of lego Star Wars the skywalker saga and we didn’t even get a hub world for kijimi for lego Star Wars the skywalker saga where is starkiller base in lego Star Wars the skywalker saga i don’t understand it.
