- In this Star Wars Outlaws new gameplay news update we breakdown a brand new interview that provided us with a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, customization, and character details! Recently, we did a breakdown & walkthrough of brand new early access Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay. This Star Wars Outlaws gameplay gave us a great look at blaster combat, stealth, space combat, open world exploration, Kijimi, and main story details!
Last weekend, we broke down the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer that was released at the Summer Game Fest. This trailer gave us a great look at Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, planets, and even confirmed that Lando Calrissian will be in the game! Recently, we had a Star Wars Outlaws news update video where we broke down the new gameplay that was revealed by NVIDIA for Star Wars Outlaws. This footage gave us a brand new look at Star Wars Outlaws and some features that will be available in the game thanks to NVIDIA such as DLSS 3.5.
In a recent video, we broke down the DLC & Pre Order bonus details that were revealed via GameStop, Amazon, and Target. We have also broken down new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details about the reputation system, crime syndicates, the Empire, the wanted system, and more! We also broke down new Star Wars Outlaws space open world gameplay and combat details from a new Game Informer interview with Star Outlaws developers.
We have also discussed new Star Wars Outlaws customization & DLC details that were revealed by Massive Entertainment! A few weeks ago, we got the Star Wars Outlaws Official Story Trailer and did a frame by frame breakdown of the brand new story trailer! This Star Wars Outlaws trailer confirmed that Crimson Dawn and Zerek Besh will be in the game! We also learned a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws story, gameplay, and open world details. We learn that Lady Qi’ra from Crimson Dawn will be featured in this game!
Ubisoft Forward gave us a great look at new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details! We also know now that the Star Wars Outlaws release date is August 30th and will feature a standard edition, gold edition, and ultimate edition. There will be a Star Wars Outlaws season pass that will feature story DLC and cosmetic DLC! We have broke down all of the space gameplay as well as the combat and customization details that we know about space for Star Wars Outlaws.
Star Wars Outlaws is the upcoming Ubisoft Star Wars Open World game made by Massive Entertainment. The Star Wars Outlaws release date is currently set for August 30, 2024 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where players will become Kay Vess, a clever scoundrel in the galactic underworld. The article from Star Wars states that the Star Wars Outlaws story will feature Kay “looking to attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen, all in an effort to start an new life”. Although Star Wars Outlaws is a new & original single player story with exciting new characters, we still got some familiar Star Wars planets & characters in the new trailer. This includes: Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt, Crimson Dawn, Pyke Syndicate, Canto Bight, Cantonica (The Last Jedi), Tatooine, & Kijimi (The Rise of Skywalker).
Needless to say we are INCREDIBLY excited for this game and can’t wait for more Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, trailers, story details, and news updates to breakdown and analyze on the channel! We have partnered with Ubisoft to produce this content.

I'm looking forward to Outlaws, but because it's a Ubisoft game, I would not be surprised once you finish the main story and most of the open world activities, it will have a lite, Live Service element where you can replay certain activities... Like retaking territories from rival factions, or the Empire, that rotate from planet to planet each week? Far Cry 6 has this mechanic where retake sections of the map to earn a special currency to buy exclusive gear. This is also what The Division 2 (Massive Entertainment) does as well on a weekly basis. Granted, it's more in-depth in D2 since it's a pseudo MMO, but like I wrote, don't be surprised if Outlaws has even more GTAO-like activities once the credits roll.

People hate on Ubisoft to hate on Ubisoft. Those same people will still buy this game. They really dont even have reasons other than its the "cool" thing to do. People will still buy and play their games. Honestly imo its been a great year for Ubisoft.
I dont hate it bc its Ubisoft. I just wish they would have given us an expanded character creator. They marketed (or atleast allowed or didnt correct it) it for years comparing it to NMS and Star CItizen. Only to find out its like Starfield, and even Starfield has a character creator. I only hope it sells well. So that they do another with a character creator lol. I am 100% positive had they told us years ago there would be a set protagonist male or female fans would have said. Stop and add a character creator. And if they let us build ships like in starfield omg i would be salivating for this game haha. But o well.

Yes, it would be nice to have a character creator /gender choosing but when Ubisoft does do that people get mad when the gender they want to be canon isn’t.
(For example in assassin’s creed Valhalla/Odyssey people were mad that they even got a choice because there was already a canon gender. If I remember correctly the comment was “Why would they even give us the option to choose female or male Eivor if they already had a canon one” or something like that.)
Again Im not saying that a character creator wouldn’t be nice, I’m saying that Ubisoft can never win and give some background on why they probably went with this decision.
Hopefully we will be able to customize or at least walk around in the interior of kays ship because the devs did say that it is her home, soooo it would make sense if we could customize and experience our shipfrom the inside instead of just the exterior 🔥

The interior is also cosmetically different in the different segments meaning there is probably customizations

I am very exited for Star Wars Outlaws and I am a big fan of star wars and have wanted a star wars game without lightsabers for so long.

That’s not the point though, wouldn’t you rather have a creative character? I know we’re pretty much passed that point, but it would still be cool for the “first open world Star Wars game”. This is a video game, dude. Everything more about Star Wars has been seen through the eyes of the Jedi if you want to get super literal, gameplay is completely different dude

We love lightsabers as much as anybody but it will be nice to get a little change of pace for once for sure!

Disney Star Wars isn't my thing at all. I was excited for this game originally, but the way Ubisoft has been conducting themselves recently has been very disappointing. Love most of their games but the attitude towards the fans and the racism + the price has lost me. I'll wait for a deal. Some parts of the game do look decent
That's great and all but what about the stuff that we like and look for in Star Wars. You say leave it to the people who like it but we aren't getting the same love. I know everyone has different tastes and different things they look for in Star Wars but we aren't getting that variety anymore.

People don’t trust Ubisoft, is someone like Insomniac or Sony Santa Monica was making this there would be no issue but Ubisoft has a bad track record…For what it’s worth both AAA games Ubisoft are making this year are absolute first day picks for me, outlaws in August, my birthday is in August so I’ll treat myself and then it’s AC Shadows in November, I’ll be buying that too, both look very promising

I cant wait for this game. Already preordered and counting the days. But...
I dont have a problem with a female protagonist. In fact, I welcome it. But I do find Kay's look and personality to be a bit... basic. So far she doesnt seem to have that "scoundrel" attitude of characters like Han and Lando, or Malcolm Reynolds. That old west "Billy the Kid" boldness is missing. Nothing we can do about that as this is the direction they decided to go. Hylo Visz or Vette from SWTOR would be a PERFECT example of how they should have gone. Michelle Rodriguez in anything really. Something that says "bad girl" and not "girl next door trying to be bad." Its what we got so we'll make do. But this is one area I wish they had done better with.

I get the hesitation from it being a Ubisoft game but the hatred is not justified. Ubisofts last couple of games have been amazing (Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and XDefiant for example).

I would have preferred to play as a Mandalorian, without any unique qerks like being a jedi the game will just feel like GTA/Uncharted in space with a less depth. Blasters are just guns, playing around with force can distract people for hours a gun doesn't do the same. I hope there will be jetpacks and other unique weapons. Cyberpunk is an example of a game with many layers making the gameplay loop more interesting than something in GTA or Saints Row.
Not gonna preorder this one. Not After my experiences with Jedi Survivor and Assassins creed Valhalla release. I’ll wait till it’s been Patched and properly optimised. Once the reviews show me that the game can maintain a stable fps, then il decide if I want to buy it for PS5 or PC.
RDR 2 was a real game changer, everything that comes after sucks.
Star Wars Outlaws is only a way to fill the gap before the GTA 6 release.
Besides, we all know how Ubisoft always messes up.
You said not to expect it to be as deep as gta online towards the end there.. I hope you are mistaken because gta is not very deep at all imo.: and for $70 (I would happily spend more if it was worth it) and the newer processors we have these days I hope we would have a beautifully complex and immersive game for an already incredible universe… but lately I have gotten my hopes up for game releases only to find a game far from polished and I hope that is not the case this time…….. may the F be with you😂
Just a thought. The most famous scoundrel in Star Wars, Han Solo movie was a flop. Do people really want a regular person Star Wars game. There's no stories in cannon of a famous scoundrel except Han Solo, and nobody wanted or cared about his story. The force, Jedi, and Sith are what makes Star Wars different from other science fiction. Great video. Wish i was as excited.

I hope that crafting will also be a big thing in Outlaws. Thing is: as one of those who played Star Wars The Old Republic, I spent quite some time scavenging for materials, and as a Cybertech I spent time constructing, reverse engineered parts / modifications for my Rifle (I was an imperial agent), as well as my very own speederbike. I hope they let me tinker with my Gnnery and Ship! Cybertech for the win baby! :)
So, many good games it is frustrating to manage time. For all WarHammer fans like myself we have waited 13 years for Space Marine II, also we have Avowed (Pillars of Eternity) Spin-off and Star Wars Outlaws. I also, am a huge fan of WW1 Series, Verdun, Tannenberg and Isonso. Isonzo came to Gamepass and the player base is, good now. On average 480 players are here in Europe. If you have Xbox please, give Isonzo a chance it is a great game and keep in mind Verdun and the WW1 Series started before Battlefield 1.
If you want to talk gearsets, look at The Division 2. It's not surprising Massive added their Gearsets to Outlaws too. They make the game interesting depending on what you equip. Changes stats, mechanics, and more.
A diverse open world map that predates GTAV is the world of Panau, in Just Cause 2 (2007) by Avalanche. It had cities, suburbs, rural areas, resorts, casinos, farmlands, mountains, jungles, desert, etc. It was one of the most diverse open world maps I had ever played on at that point, and it still hasn't been replicated to this day by other developers and even other Avalanche games like the Just Cause, sequels.
Not a huge fan of star wars but i always thought the world was interesting, this game looks like it lets you live a life in star wars as someone who gets too see all the interesting parts of star wars. Im hyped

One thing I can say is the realistic movement with environment could be better. Meaning the interaction on the dust and grass movement with character relation to the environment.
For me, don't spoil the haircut customization can mean two things:
1- it's part of the story
2- online store and microtransaction

@@jameswalmsley9038this game has been in development for so long anything as simple as hair choices and customization for your character shouldnt be treated as an afterthought. I mean theyvè gone as far as add multiple planets with x amount of types of terrain and flora n fauna and that's a big part of development. So hair choices shouldn't be that hard to implement.
@@nicktubara true! Though I think it’s more a priorities balance in these kinds of games. Hair physics is apparently pretty heavy on processing, I don’t know the exact comparison but it’s probably something like you either get an extra explorable hut or an extra hair style. It would be easy to add, sure, but is it top priority?

Would rather have a open world with make yourown chaaracter. You can choose to be lightsaber user, mando, or these normies guys like han solo style. You can level up skills accordingly, you can become good or bad!!! Like how hard to come up with this concept and make an ultimate starwars game. Imagine you can custom made your character to become like darth vader or sith or mandalorian. If u want a han solo by all mmeans make an lgbtq han solo. Fck let me make my darth sith lord and fly around hunting jedis and killing npcs. With equipments that you can change the outfits

In a previous interview they said its going to be the "first Star Wars Open World" which is obviously false, how can they forget about the MMO "Star Wars: The Old Republic", it is even still active on steam.
This game has a LOT of planets, some exclusive for Sith and some for Jedi, each planet is Huge, and takes hours to discover.
Any way, I hope that they just do an actual open world. Not a "Fallen Jedi" kind of fake open world.
It will probably be out for PC only after PS5, so I will have to wait anyway...
