Hi sorry I also wanted to mention that I live in a valley full of natural flora and fauna that would be green and healthy for years however in the few months prior the eclipse the plant life started withering and a lot of animals started dying for no reason. Usually the wildlife will die away from human eyes but they're showing up dead all of a sudden. I haven't seen so many dead wild animals along the streets not hurt or damaged just dead. Also it seems flowers are just dying faster as well. It's been raining a lot but even with the extra water the grass is yellow brown. It's really weird but mostly sad. If there's something in the sky killing off the plants and animals, humans SHOULD be worried. We're next. 😢😢😢

I had several types of sunflowers they all did the same thing except for a few growing under a shade tree.. a lot of the seeds I had planted were harvested from my garden also. I honestly don't think it was the seeds.
You can grow small or large sun flowers depending on the space you give them to grow. I’ve grown tiny sun flowers before and large ones 6 ft tall with large large heads.
The since behind this is one I had to read up on. They follow the sun when they are younger because their stems don't grow evenly and it's to make use of photosynthesis to its fullest. As they mature they will no longer follow the sun due to over heating and prepare for pollination.😊

Young sunflowers follow the sun throughout the day, but as they mature and grow, they stop moving and face east toward the morning sun. This is because the sunflowers' needs change as they grow. For example, as the sunflowers get bigger and heavier with seeds in the fall, they stop moving and face east until they are harvested

Hi. I'm a certified Gardener with the county extension office in Colorado. Sunflowers use auxins to tilt their neck and follow the Sun during the year however... In July when flowers begin to mature and start to produce pollen and develop seed those hormones will no longer move the flower head. This creates the traditional hook style sunflower that now has seeds for birds to eat. It's embarrassing. People with this many sunflowers growing climbing they've been watching them growing for decades and then not understanding that part of the season. Embarrassing.

But then ine day you went out as usual but you saw him coming up but you kind of pull back a bit because his uniform colar and walk have changed and when he come.up he held out his hand to you. The way these behaved this year was completely different than other years of growing before.. this video was made when they first started opening up.. they were not fully mature yet. I've grown sunflowers my whole life and I make a video of my observations and get a lot of comments from really smart people who know that they know and then feel the need to insult or disregard what I experienced. I have never in my 40-someodd years seen the sunflowers follow the sun throughout their entire life cycle. They get to a certain point and turn Away from the sun, always in my life at least

Recently I watched a video on yt (3 min vid) about a farmer of corn ( heirloom and store-bought) and crazy things going on w/that and his soil...his sunflowers were doing same thing. Where I'm at I got 0 things from my garden...and I use rain water from barrels and no city water. 🤔Strange habbenins happenin 🤔 !

It's Normal for sunflowers to stop following the sun once the pass a certain stage of development. Plus other things can cause it. It's normal.

It’s not radiation. It’s all the chemicals they are spraying in the skies. I used to think it was BS because I thought that if it were true people could just get a lab test done of the soil. TURNS OUT they have, and there is so much aluminum everywhere! Even on the top of Mt Shasta, the snow has aluminum but not the soil… so this is not natural. Very creepy. It’s killing the heirloom seeds but leaving the GMO plants…

Interesting. Maybe genetically modified sunflowers? Because the heads on those don’t look very big. The sunflowers I remember as a kid had massive heads, they’d bow down once the seeds ripened
I had several types of sunflowers they all did the same thing except for a few growing under a shade tree.. a lot of the seeds I had planted were harvested from my garden also. I honestly don't think it was the seeds.
You can grow small or large sun flowers depending on the space you give them to grow. I’ve grown tiny sun flowers before and large ones 6 ft tall with large large heads.

The since behind this is one I had to read up on. They follow the sun when they are younger because their stems don't grow evenly and it's to make use of photosynthesis to its fullest. As they mature they will no longer follow the sun due to over heating and prepare for pollination.😊

Sunflowers use auxins to tilt their neck and follow the Sun during the year however...
In July when flowers begin to mature and start to produce pollen and develop seed those hormones will no longer move the flower head. This creates the traditional hook style sunflower that now has seeds for birds to eat.
It's embarrassing. People with this many sunflowers growing climbing they've been watching them growing for decades and then not understanding that part of the season. Embarrassing.

I simply made an observation. The way these behaved this year was completely different than other years of growing before.. this video was made when they first started opening up.. they were not fully mature yet. I've grown sunflowers my whole life and I make a video of my observations and get a lot of comments from really smart people who know that they know and then feel the need to insult or disregard what I experienced. I honestly don't care if people think it's nothing but for some may be experiencing the same thing..this is to make people aware ..if you notice nothing different then that's real good for you. Just because some have not experienced it doesn't mean it's not happening in other places.

Nothing to do with Israel. We are talking about sunflowers. This is nature. This has been happening since the beggining of the sunflower species. A quick google search would solve your problem. Heliotropism stops when the flower head matures. When it stops, the flower heads will always face at one direction (often east). Pure nature. Cheers
