I wanted to address some things since I see many comments asking or saying some of the same things.. 1. This idea of astrology came from the Northern Hemisphere. An estimated 90% of the people on Earth live in the Northern Hemisphere. This is NOT to say that people in the Southern hemisphere don’t matter or that this idea doesn’t apply to them. This is just a reflection of how consciousness is broken down into parts. This is less about the astrology, and more about you. Astrology is just used to explain you. 2. There are more than 12 zodiac signs. There are more constellations within this band that we call the zodiacal ecliptic. That would be talking about exoteric astrology. We are talking about esoteric astrology. We are talking about what these 12 zodiac signs (to the ancients) really means. We are talking about the 12 aspects of our consciousness. 12 archetypes, 12 parts of a cycle, 12 steps on this latter to understanding, but we always end up back at the beginning. I’m mostly talking about the 12 zodiacal energies that we will work with in Ceremonial Magick. There’s more signs and also you may notice that the sun is physically in a different sign than you would think based off of tropical astrology.. I want to make it very clear that this is about consciousness and this is a system that was developed to organize consciousness. These are ideas that were created to describe you. 3. The reason I say humans in the zodiac are referring to angels, is because the human represents higher aspects of consciousness. An Angel is an exalted aspect of your consciousness, it is not something that exists outside of you. It’s a part of you. The word zodiac is referring to animals. The human has an animalistic side and an exalted side of consciousness. 4. The zodiac is something that is to be transcended. In Ceremonial Magick, we separate consciousness into parts, purify them, strengthen them, and then reintegrate them. We start with the 4 elements (which are the 4 aspects of your terrestrial consciousness). Then we move on to the planetary energies (which are the 7 aspects / layers of your aura) this is how your consciousness approaches reality. And then we move on to separating, purifying, and strengthening the 12 zodiac signs (which was described in this video). The 12 zodiac signs are further divided into 36 deacons, and then even further divided into the 72 angels in Magick. All of this that I have described are just aspects of consciousness, that are within everyone, waiting to be worked with and mastered. I hope this helps clarify some things!

What astrology fundamentally is is the study of the most important (and most overlooked) organ in the human body: the inflammatory response. When you are born, the environmental conditions of your birth imprint upon your nervous system and determine how your inflammatory response will react to different physiological triggers. Your inflammatory response is your personality. It determines how you react to emotional and psychological triggers as well. Different emotions are just inflammation in different parts of the body. Each sign is associated with a part of the body because that energy triggers inflammation in that part of the body (and brain). Different distributions of blood across the body and brain give rise to different moods, motivations, and priorities. It's important to consider ALL aspects of someone's birth chart to get a nuanced understanding--the inflammatory response is incredibly complex, and no one ever discusses it. So you're saying it's not to be taken literally because your sun sign only captures a little bit of who you are--and it's true that the sun sign only captures a little of you who are, but that doesn't mean astrology isn't intended to be taken literally. It just means it's unbelievably complex and nuanced, and reducing a person to one placement is nonsensical. All of magic is fundamentally about harnessing the inflammatory response and getting it to work FOR you rather than AGAINST you. The entirety of human ritual, religion, sports, art, entertainment, literature, philosophy, etc is designed to regulate the inflammatory response, because if your inflammatory response is dysregulated, it will make you absolutely miserable. What "enlightenment" fundamentally comes down to is having the power to intentionally regulate your nervous system to put yourself into whatever state or energy you want to be in. Paranoia, obsession, self-sabotage, even violence are all caused by dysregulated inflammation. The thing keeping all of humanity from ascending is the failure to appreciate the inflammatory response as not only a distinct organ, but the most important one when it comes to society and mental health.

Reading the comments, you can see how everyone interprets the Zodiac differently which is a good thing. We understand it according to our level of growth so there{s always more potential to grow and evolve.
Since I was a kid, I always struggled throughout the Summer solstice, for some reason, throughout that period I felt weak, sluggish and had no energy, I was not at my full potential. But when September comes along and winter appears, I start having more energy, is much easier to relax making it easier to analyze any situation, I can identified my faults and fix them as well. September and throughout winter, I am my higher self, those are the periods where I mature out of my previous self and starting a new. Lately, I recognize that the more years go by, summer solstice is getting a little bit worse, but winter has become more enlighten for me as well. This video helped me understand why September is where balance occurs in my life and why I appreciate it so much. I always celebrate September for that is the month of my birthday but now I should consider for what it implies in my life, Balance.

I also notice wearing sapphires, the stone of Virgo helps me hunker down & plow thru work, and it seems easier. Yet the other birthstones don't seem to have any effect. I love the exposition. I also view the Scorpio/death/darkness period as a time to end and release everything from the year that is either done serving me or never did. I see it as spiritual house cleaning and reflection time. I like how you went through the sun's path through each sign and presented an overview at the end which aids memory retention of the information. That said, I do feel like there are a couple of important things that have been left out. One is the significance of Sagittarius being not only half animal and half divine, but also an Archer. The Capricorn is not a typical goat with four legs to be able to scale mountains, it is a Sea-Goat, having a fish tail where the back legs would be on a typical goat. Very interesting. I always said to myself that the Zodiac was representative of the 12 or 13 Psychological types. And that you could embody that. A few things to mention: 1) The Sun is the center of conscious self, however, it does not touch upon our thoughts and the way we communicate, that job is given to our Mercury. 2) Leo Season doesn't start till August 7th, when the Sun actually enters the constellation of Leo, therefore the heightened heat is still in Cancer Season in the Northern Hemisphere. 3) Virgo is not the divine Feminine, Cancer is the Divine Feminine, the Queen; Virgo is a young maiden, however, and does have the duty of sifting between what is good (healthy) or bad (unhealthy). 4) Libra is a Cardinal Sign, there is NO slow-down energy in true Libra Season - the natural energy is proactive, not passive. 5) There is no darkness attributed to Sagittarius, that's Ophiuchus. Sagittarius is the butterfly phase of a person's metamorphosis, exploring all of what life has to offer. Sagittarius is joy and positivity and adventure, not shadow-work. Astrology is the program we are running but we can change it all. The reality is that we are all conglomerate consciousnesses of various other forces, celestial and earthly that are all sharing an experience as a human avatar together. These other consciousnesses are planets, spirits, angels, bacteria etc. This is why astrology works. Because Venus and her retinue want to experience and express love and devotion and find value in the world through the lens of all beings. Same with the sun. The sun wants everybody to maintain some sense of "order", because IT is orderly. Off that topic, it is amusing when people who do not practice astrology try to say, "it doesn't apply to personality". It most certainly does, but you must be an astute student in the art to see it all. I have done astrology since I was 16, and I am 36 now. I have proved many times over that astrology does accurately describe events and personality traits of real world things, people, places etc.

I think we need to see it more in the whole earth aspect of the way the sun is moving and what that has to do with everyone, so that is as a whole but also the location where we are born means something and if we move from there it also means something. The Zodiac is as old as humanity and the truth is nobody actually knows how old of a concept it is and where it comes from. The oldest ancient civilization being Babylon/Sumeria, modern day Iraq, that’s in the northern hemisphere and how other comments stated, the majority of humanity resides in the northern hemisphere. What astrology fundamentally is is the study of the most important (and most overlooked) organ in the human body: the inflammatory response. When you are born, the environmental conditions of your birth imprint upon your nervous system and determine how your inflammatory response will react to different physiological triggers. Your inflammatory response is your personality. It determines how you react to emotional and psychological triggers as well. Different emotions are just inflammation in different parts of the body. Since I was a kid, I always struggled throughout the Summer solstice, for some reason, throughout that period I felt weak, sluggish and had no energy, I was not at my full potential.
But when September comes along and winter appears, I start having more energy, is much easier to relax making it easier to analyze any situation, I can identified my faults and fix them as well.
September and throughout winter, I am my higher self, those are the periods where I mature out of my previous self and starting a new.
Lately, I recognize that the more years go by, summer solstice is getting a little bit worse, but winter has become more enlighten for me as well.
This video helped me understand why September is where balance occurs in my life and why I appreciate it so much.
I always celebrate September for that is the month of my birthday but now I should consider for what it implies in my life, Balance.
But, what is weird about that is: you reaching your full potency when death comes around. Apparently, you thrive in the underworld.

I love the exposition. I also view the Scorpio/death/darkness period as a time to end and release everything from the year that is either done serving me or never did. I see it as spiritual house cleaning and reflection time. I like how you went through the sun's path through each sign and presented an overview at the end which aids memory retention of the information. That said, I do feel like there are a couple of important things that have been left out. One is the significance of Sagittarius being not only half animal and half divine, but also an Archer. The Capricorn is not a typical goat with four legs to be able to scale mountains, it is a Sea-Goat, having a fish tail where the back legs would be on a typical goat. Fascinating video! Great work! I love the interesting take on the Sun's journey into consciousness. A few things to mention:
1) The Sun is the center of conscious self, however, it does not touch upon our thoughts and the way we communicate, that job is given to our Mercury.
2) Leo Season doesn't start till August 7th, when the Sun actually enters the constellation of Leo, therefore the heightened heat is still in Cancer Season in the Northern Hemisphere.
3) Virgo is not the divine Feminine, Cancer is the Divine Feminine, the Queen; Virgo is a young maiden, however, and does have the duty of sifting between what is good (healthy) or bad (unhealthy).
4) Libra is a Cardinal Sign, there is NO slow-down energy in true Libra Season - the natural energy is proactive, not passive.
5) There is no darkness attributed to Sagittarius, that's Ophiuchus. Sagittarius is the butterfly phase of a person's metamorphosis, exploring all of what life has to offer. Sagittarius is joy and positivity and adventure, not shadow-work. Also, the horse half is also about instinct as well as the ability to be carried towards one's goals by trusting the Universe and not getting caught up in the human's forever-searching mind.
6) This may be pedantic - the Capricorn is not a goat, it's a SEA-goat. It comes from the Sea; the mystical waters below, sacrificing its tail for hooves because it's ambitious and curious enough to reach the top of the mountain.

We can control it by reprogramming our subconscious mind. Nothing exists until we accept it as being true and upon that acceptance, we allow it to be present in our 3D reality. The reality is that we are all conglomerate consciousnesses of various other forces, celestial and earthly that are all sharing an experience as a human avatar together. These other consciousnesses are planets, spirits, angels, bacteria etc. This is why astrology works. Because Venus and her retinue want to experience and express love and devotion and find value in the world through the lens of all beings. Same with the sun. The sun wants everybody to maintain some sense of "order", because IT is orderly.
Off that topic, it is amusing when people who do not practice astrology try to say, "it doesn't apply to personality". It most certainly does, but you must be an astute student in the art to see it all. I have done astrology since I was 16, and I am 36 now. I have proved many times over that astrology does accurately describe events and personality traits of real world things, people, places etc.

I think we need to see it more in the whole earth aspect of the way the sun is moving and what that has to do with everyone, so that is as a whole but also the location where we are born means something and if we move from there it also means something. The Zodiac is as old as humanity and the truth is nobody actually knows how old of a concept it is and where it comes from. The oldest ancient civilization being Babylon/Sumeria, modern day Iraq, that’s in the northern hemisphere and how other comments stated, the majority of humanity resides in the northern hemisphere.
