    Hello!! I hope i get a reply!!
    Our fridge just whent out, i checked the fan inside the fridge and it seems to be working but as i was watching your video i’m starting to think it could be the starter as when i opened the back it was FULL of dust… i cleaned a bit and reconnect it , to see if it cools..if not I’ll probably have to purchase the starter..

    I actually tested the fuse on the control board, it has continuity, I've tested the overload when every pieces are intact (that means including the capacitor attached to the overload module) - resulting no continuity. However, when I plied open the white piece overload and test it, it does have continuity. So, I went back out to test the voltage on the wire connecting to the overload, I found on voltage can be read. Does that mean the electrical control board is bad?

    My fridge is at 40° and my freezer is at 18°. It’s above the setting temperature, how do I diagnose that, does it means I need Freon?

    • @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance
      @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance  Год назад

      Hi Deserah,
      It does sound like it may be leaking refrigerant so that it can’t cool down as much as you’re setting it to.
      Has it maintained the temperatures of 40° and 18° for a while or has it just suddenly happened?

    so you put the 3 and 1 on the compressor and that works as well? I've never tried that.

    Hey, I have a ge model gfe29hsdcss.... freezer(below "French doors"), working fine, however, the fridge section is not cooling and sitting at 59 degrees f, and is set to 38 degrees f... no open doors, no bad "seals" around doors... any idea what it can be?

      Probably iced up condenser and/or inop fan that blows up from their into the fresh side. Unplug the unit, take off the 'tower' on the back wall of the fridge and the plastic barrier behind the crispers and the deli drawer. You'll see a block of ice. Unplug the fan and test it, you might need to check your model number and order a new fan. Let it thaw out, prob overnight unless you have a heater to blow in it. Kinda a pain, but typical ge French door fridge problem

    My starter/overload has 2 black wires going to one connector, 2 orange wires to another. How do you connect the 3-n-1 wires?
