I have a similar model and it randomly started showing the 00 00. I must have bumped up against it to get into this test mode. I had no idea how to get out of it. Thank you for this video. I was able to execute 00 16 to exit and all good now. Thank you so much!
Hello, I just found your channel which is very informative and helpful. My GE refrigerator is in test mode with 00 06 and I’m trying to exit to 00 16 but when I tap to increase to 16, nothing happens.
It’s stuck on 00 06. I tried to press Freezer to increase to 00 16 and nothing happens. It’s stuck. You taught me how to increase and decrease, but it stuck on 00 06.
The most common noise fan motor is the fresh food evaporator fan motor,intermittently noise and is coming from the inside refrigerator .of you need todo any test a will send you the code .
I found a complete list of the tests available, I have yet to find one that makes the problem noise. I ran all fan tests (47-52) as well as a bunch of others and no problem noise. I may just run all tests when I get a chance.
@@How-123 I had to wait until my wife went shopping and packed the fridge full to troubleshoot the issue. I re-ran all fan tests and now found the problem fan/motor. It is exactly what you said (test 00 47 - FF Fan Test). Since it really only happens when the fridge is packed, I'm thinking replacing the fan/motor won't resolve my issue. I'm guessing I'm maybe having a freezing up issue and the fan is hitting that making the noise, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on if there is anything I can do to get rid of the loud intermittent noise.

Just a note, the ice maker will not work (turns off) if the temp in it is above 10 degrees F. So check that if a chance your unit isn't quite cool enough.
We have older French door GE light this. A fan is humming off/on/off/on like it can’t get started and stay going. The top part temp is about 41-42 degrees. Have it set to 34. Freezer part seems to be ok. What should we test first? Thanks.
First you have to check for ice in the back of the fresh food compartment, check temperature in the bottom of the fresh food compartment, evaporator fan motor is the most likely problem

First defrost the refrigerator ,doors open until is not more ice in the cover. Most of the time overnight unplugged,after that put it on and check fan motor if the fan is not working replace

If the panel is lock most of the time is because the water filter expires or the panel control is lock .press the lock option if is only from the panel control and if there is filter lock replace the filter and reset the control board with 0016
I have a similar model: GFE26GSKBSS and it indicated in these sequences 01 06, 00 lo, and 00 0d. I know 01 06 is related to FF Fan feedback missing when Fan is running but I don't what the other two error codes?. Thanks

Thanks for the video, I have a GE pfe28kskbss which only issue is the ice maker in the door does not make ice very quickly. I check and the ice is filled up in ice maker so I run test 99 to cycle upper door ice maker and it works great and fills up with water. I watched your video and all tests you ran I ran on mine and the results were very similar to yours except that test 0028 for FZ Evaporator TheMistor Test comes back for me as ---- and you had 07.70 , also test # 0096 FZ cooling test returns -0000 for me and you had -0324, I double checked these again and same results. Can you tell me why test 0028 coming up with dashes means and/or what I need to replace. I found another website showed a table with test option #0037 for Ice Cabinet Thermistor Test which mine shows 2056 and a few hours later was 1514, not sure if this helps, just thought I would share. The lights on my dispenser displays are off, I get no water, ice or light. What part should I be looking at to replace so my dispenser works again and I can see the temps my fridge and freezer are running at. Thanks for any help you can give me. I'm at my witts end!

Hi! I have the same fridge, and I have a loud motor engine sound going off and on occasionally. Everything was working fine, and still is, although I have no water to the icemaker. I did run a diagnostic test with the number 00 99 and that worked a few times. But now it’s not. Any suggestions?

@@keekdkelly turn ice makers off and back on. Activate the ice full lever 3xs that will put it into reset mode. You should see the ice harvester turn and hear the water valve come on. It took the one the bottom about an hour and a half to make ice the top one about a month. Not sure why, but both are working now.
The thing is you say how to do a test but no info on what is good or what is bad. "push 00 95" ok then random numbers, what are we looking for to pass or fail?

Hello, my refrigerator door is not closing all way at the top of the door. This is causing the door alarm to activate. The fridge is still at the correct temperature with condensation. I tried adjusting the French doors, but this did not fix the problem.

My ice maker stopped working. There is ice frozen in the tray but the raking arm wont scoop the frozen ice and make it drop into the tray. Is there a test i can do to see what the icemaker thermistor temperature is?
I was able to perform the in door icemaker test and it pushed my frozen ice out into the tray and then filled it with water, but it won't continue to cycle on its own and make ice the way its supposed to. The in door icemaker thermistor test is saying 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
Press the top left bottom and keep pressing and release until you find the desired temperature frezzer top right button for refrigerator temperature same thing press and release until you find 36 to 40 f

Cuando hago el diagnóstico de 00 94 solo hace un click pero no me da la temperatura como a ti en el video. Eso que significa? Debería de mostrar la temperatura? Hice otros códigos y si prende la resistencia del defrost heater, yo la toque y esta muy caliente. Gracias
Most likely the fan motor is not working,if the temperature is to cool in the lower part of the fresh food compartment the fan is not working and needs to be replace .fresh food evaporator fan motor

I recently had my evap fan go out in the freezer, resulting in the freezer thawing out. Replaced that fan and now it’s cold again, but the fridge now just runs constantly and the ice maker is struggling and making a clicking noise. Is it possible that the loss of fan could have caused another issue?

Most likely the fan motor is not working properly in the fresh food compartment,replaced the fan motor and clean the drain line ,unplug refrigerator overnight with the doors open before any repair. This is my advice from previous diagnostic.only my opinion

0094 is the code to defrost fresh food compartment but if you don’t have steamer doit overnight with the doors open

The two numbers in the left don’t have to much except when is thermistor temperature or error code,the refrigerator have more then 100 test and codes.

@@How-123 esta bn pero sino me muestra los mismos números que te salen en el video que tu explicas que puede estar pasando es normal por que el no enfriaba en la parte de arriba yo le cambie el ventilador de la parte de arriba y ahora enfria

Si es el mismo modelo es casi seguro que es el fresh food evaporator fan motor ,confirma si la temperature adentro del refrigerator es muy fria solo en la parte de abajo

Hola @Eduardo Naranjo, yo tengo un refrigerador GR modelo GFD28GBLFTS. Mi problema es que esta congelando las verduras y frutas. Todo el evaporator se congela y se ve el hielo afuera. Cuando hago el diagnóstico de 00 94 solo hace un click pero no me da la temperatura como a ti en el video. Eso que significa? Debería de mostrar la temperatura? Hice otros códigos y si prende la resistencia del defrost heater, yo la toque y esta muy caliente. Gracias

Most likely the fan motor is not working,if the temperature is to cool in the lower part of the fresh food compartment the fan is not working and needs to be replace .fresh food evaporator fan motor

Enter in test mode and select 0016, icemaker check if the icemaker has water and is on

I recently had my evap fan go out in the freezer, resulting in the freezer thawing out. Replaced that fan and now it’s cold again, but the fridge now just runs constantly and the ice maker is struggling and making a clicking noise. Is it possible that the loss of fan could have caused another issue?
Same model as you show here. Wasn’t sure what test I could use to help narrow things down.
If the new fan is blowing to the opposite direction the temperature will go up

Of note, there was a lot of ice behind the evap fan. Which is making me wonder, would the defrost thermostat break too? And is there a test from this video I could use to solve thst? And if so, how do I interpret the results of the test

The only thing you can do is reset the control board enter in a test mode and and select 0016 , anyway don’t worry about the % is only for sales purposes.you can return the filter to is a electronic device to reset % inside the filter

Some refrigerators have dispenser on and off , reset the control board ,enter in test mode and select 0016 to reset computer

El 94 debe ser la resistencia de defrost fresh food compartment si mides el amperage debe ser como dos amperios.explícame el problema y de seguro te ayudo

Most likely the fan motor is not working properly in the fresh food compartment,replaced the fan motor and clean the drain line ,unplug refrigerator overnight with the doors open before any repair. This is my advice from previous diagnostic.only my opinion
