I know this is late but yeah that part legit made me so angry. Sonic 1 may not be the best game but it isn't even that bad. If it was, there would have been no reason to make more sonic games and it wouldn't have been competition for mario back then.
I have never seen so much hate for Sonic 1 wtf? The sequels are better but that game is still so awesome to this day and is really well designed

Sonic 06 did not ruin the franchise, critics did. The way I always phrase it - Sonic 06 is a great game but its a horrible product

Regular 06’s story was fine except the kiss scene that gives me war flashbacks. 06 would’ve been a great game if it wasn’t rushed
Regular o6 if we talkin. On the tier list i am sorry to say that i like sonic o6 IT TRIED It had everything. Good levels. Good story(except the kiss). And good voice acting the problem with o6 was. It was not polished THATS IT if they fixed the glitches it would have been a ssg game atleast (and also fix sonic run animation thats ugly as hell lol)
Sonic 06 definitely has better gameplay than frontiers lol. And better visuals too.
@@piranhalettuce Cuz Project 06 is still Sonic 06 design wise so ChaosX literally proved that the game itself is actually good when properly finished, underneath all the bugs and physics issues
A lot of sonic's mainline games just don't interest me. The only ones I really like are Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & knuckles, SA2, and Sonic Mania. I love his spin-off games more. I picked up and played Sonic Colors Ultimate but it was boring to me. I played Sonic & the Secret Rings and the shit was garbage. Sonic Generations looks fun though. Too bad I never had a PS3. I liked Sonic Heroes as a kid but don't really care for it anymore. The kart racing trilogy is underrated. It's a nice alternative to Mario Kart. I like Sonic Riders 1 and never played the other two. Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers looked boring to me, so I didn't even bother picking them up. As for the Mario & Sonic Olympic series, I only like Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games and Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The london one is the best. Out of the kart racing trilogy, my fav is Transformed. I loved playing Sega Superstars Tennis on PS2. I feel like I'm the only person that prefers Sonic's spin-off games over his mainline games lol.

Fair enough. P06 imo is S tier. Because 06 already had a solid groundwork it was just ruined by being rushed. P06 just cleaned everything up and even made stuff that was already good in 06 even better.
@@jesuspernia8031 I think I’ll put p06 in the A tier behind SA1 I really enjoy it p06 but the game is still far from perfect and when the silver release and the bosses will come the game will be easily a 10/10
