That is wonderful to hear! Thank you so much for choosing to buy from us and watch our video tutorials. It means the world to all of us here at Sallie Tomato! :)
Bought a lazer cut Lucky Penny wallet kit on sale. I chose mystery kit, it was sent with Moss Green Alligator Faux Leather😍Do you know what color thread i should use that would look good with this?!? Do you just try to match the green as best as possible, or use a different color for top stitch? Thabks. Total newbie in bags/wallets.
I purchased the kit today at the Akron Show....how do I get the cutting SVG file? I have the code but I think you can only use it if you purchased it online?
You can definitely do that if you'd like! The original purpose for that center area was for a cell phone to slide into or a checkbook - once the wallet is closed, those items would stay secure inside. Feel free to customize however you'd like! :)
@@SallieTomato A-ha! I was about to ask the same thing. My first time using pleather(!), definitely need more practice. I might add a zip to one slot for my next one too. Thank you. :@)

What keeps your bills from falling out of the center pocket, behind the ID pocket? The picture shows bills there, but I can’t see how you keep the bills from falling out unless you stitch under the ID pocket. Did I miss a step?
Came here to ask the same question! I just finished my first one, and when I tested the pockets, my hand came out the bottom slot! I was like wait, I missed a step…. 😳
I just sewed a 1/8 inch seam to keep $ in place. Also loose the top pocket if you use a magnetic closure or the flip closure. Important info that should be added to video and pattern. :)

You are so welcome! Have fun creating!
Your videos are excellent.
Glad you like them!
I have made this a couple of times and love it. At one time you had a lining hack and I can't find it.
Here it is, hope this helps! sallietomato.com/blogs/blog/lucky-penny-wallet-hack

A great video....but shouldn't there be some stitching above the slot cut outs to make them into pockets as well?

@@midlifeinprogress I did add a row of stitching 1/8” in from the bottom of the center pocket. It seems to work!
@@janetkostiuk7107 I read and re-read the pattern haha , so I stitched mine like you did.
If only there was a place to keep change!
