Thanks to Matt and VMACS for helping me out here! All links for what we used and more are listed in the description as well as all songs! Great bands all around! I went a little Irontom heavy here!
Good news. No need to remove that heat shield! Big clearance between floor and shield - just feed the inlet and exhaust pipes down the sides of the shield. Easy.
This was a great video! We are going through our van build currently over here in North Carolina and really looking forward to heading to the mountains with it!
Ryan, I enjoyed the video greatly. After that I decided that I would go with the same setup. I followed your links, then went to VMACS and bought their Promaster kit. They were very prompt, I had it in a few days. After I received it, I wondered if you got credit for the sale??? if you didn't or don't, let me know. I definitely bought it from them based on your recommendation. I still have all the information and was bought over Thanksgiving. Mike
Hey Mike! I’m not sure if I got credit or not. To be honest I’m not super worried about it either way! Just glad you enjoyed the vid and found it helpful! VMACS is awesome and so is my buddy Matt! Cheers Mike!
Ryan, your video was very helpful as I wanted the heater mounted under the passenger seat as well. My install went well thanks to you and Matt (his videos helped too.) I have on odd question for you. When you put your Promaster up on the ramps, did you have to reinstall the passenger seat again and reconnect the electronic sensors so you could start the van and drive it? I’ve heard they are airbag sensors and can trigger the airbags if you’re not careful.
Thanks Peter! I don’t really have an answer for you on that one! I have heard that too so just to be sure we went ahead and connected everything like normal before testing. Our thought was that the seat is easy to remove so we’d just go from there! Hope that helps!!!
Hey Ryan, I am trying to install a Webasto, but the directions I got with the unit a very vague and in Russian. Where do you think I can find directions in English? Some of these stuff I am just trying to figure out, like the little arrow on the gas pump I assume the arrow points the flow of fuel from the talk to the unit. I would appreciate any help. Thanks Fred
Hey Fred! I would go to one of the links in my description for VMACs or just go to vmacs.net and send an email to Scott! They’re such a wonderful company and he’s incredibly knowledgeable! I’m fairly certain they have instructions they can send you! Let him know Ryan Mcdunco sent you his way and he should be able to get ya some help! As for the pump, you are correct! The arrow is direction of fuel flow!
Ryan watched your video and was wondering how you routed the exhaust line around the heat shield? That seems to be kicking my 4th point of contact! : )
Hey Jeff! The heat shield is a bit of a problem but I routed mine out towards the rear. If I remember correctly it’s in between the connection points back there. I basically go the heat shield loosely in place and then routed the exhaust and bent the shield if I needed to. Good luck man!!
@@RyanMcdunco Thanks. Yeah I am figuring that out. I would have finished yesterday but was having issues figuring out how to run it out from under the heat shield without getting it near the fuel tank or air intake line. Thanks for the info and loved the video!
@@RyanMcdunco It did. I saw the line running to the drivers side of the vehicle but was having trouble figuring out how you did it and was thinking along similar lines of "modifying" the heat shield in some way. Thanks and if you are out in CO let me know!

(Bolt the unit to its baseplate, then secure with 4 lge. self tapping screws.)

Hi! And thanks for this video. Are your swivel seats the factory installed ones, or some aftermarket ones?
Those were aftermarket from swivelsrus.com
@@RyanMcdunco thanks 👍🏼
