Mark, it is usually recommended the fuel pump be mounted at a 45 degree angle so air bubbles pass through the pump. It also ensures that the pump is lubricated properly by the fuel. Nice video, Thanks
I'm thinking the 45° angle is only for diesel heaters, which I did for my Chinese one. I watched the video from Vanlife Outfitters AT LEAST five times after purchasing my gasoline one from them. Not once did mention this, nor did they install theirs at a 45° angle. Maybe Webasto can clear this up? 🤔 Still, this was a very helpful video. Thanks!!
for heating efficiency especially under the bed, in the garage area, the inlet should be as far as possible from the heat outlet for not to create a microclimate. Great install tutorial. Thank you
Thank you for that tip. We will certainly and keep them as far apart as possible........maybe we will direct the outlet toward the back of the van and draw from as far forward as possible
You guys knocked it out of the park with this step-by-step. Valuable information. This is the same heater we were planning on in our pending PM. Thanks!
@@marctania2349 Thanks! That does sound like a good tip. Looking forward to next vid. Really enjoying seeing the progress on your van. It's gonna be nice!
I am so sorry for such a late response. No we did not make it this year.....but it sounds like a great plan for 2024. assuming they have it there again
Dude thanks so much for this detailed installation... Im about to install this unit on my 136in PM next week. Very very helpful. Btw did you re-angled the pump at 45 degrees? Also would you do something differently a year later?
So sorry for the late response. I still need to change the angle on the pump to be honest....so far it seems to work well. We will be using it again in a few weeks.
Love your videos but I would just like to point out a few things. Now there is nothing wrong about your install but these heaters need regular maintenance and usually in the most hash whether times. you have no way of remouving this heater for service whiteout crawling under the van and in minus 40 with 4 feet of snow you will wish you mounted it differently

That is a great tip. I will likely try and reposition the fuel pump to angle it up. I had not heard of that tip until you mentioned it. Thank you.
45 degrees in the direction of flow, so the closest end to the heater is up 45 or down 45 degrees? Thank you 🙏

So glad the video was helpful to you.......another great comment below this one about the positioning of the fuel pump that you may wan to consider

These videos are so helpful!
Hi Cody, So sorry for the late response. We appreciate you watching along and glad the videos are so helpful
Great job… you made something that’s so involved look almost manageable.
Thanks, my brother :)
It sounds pretty loud in my headphones. 31:08 could you recommend this for stealth camping?
I have to be honest. We haven't used it on the road yet.....but it doesn't seem overly loud to me.
Are you guys going to be at the adventure van expo iEvergreen Colorado July 7 and 8
