How to easily install Mac OS Monterey on a Windows 10 PC using Virtual Box

It is now possible to alter your screen resolution and open in full screen! Simply open a command prompt as administrator and copy this line:
cd C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox
Once you have done this copy the command line below replacing "mac OS Big Sur" with the name of your virtual machine.
VBoxManage setextradata "macOS Big Sur" VBoxInternal2/EfiGraphicsResolution 1920x1080
I have entered 1920 x 1080 as the resolution however you can replace this with whatever the resolution of your monitor.

Useful video. Two remarks:
- The quotes and hyphens are wrong in the first command. It took me a while to figure it out why I got error messages
- When I started the created VM it was immediately shut down with an error: Failed to query SMC value from the host (VERR_INVALID_HANDLE). The solution was an additional command (I cannot link the source because YT removes my comment):
VBoxManage setextradata "VM Name" "VBoxInternal/Devices/smc/0/Config/GetKeyFromRealSMC" 0

@@rayray0742: The quotes are wrong only in the first command, use the simple typewriter quotes like below. And for the parameter just use --cpuidset (the first hyphen was incorrect)

Don't forget if you are boot looping, adjust the CPU cores to 1 for the install.

Thank you very much for your video. Does this also work on windows 11 with virtualbox 7? I tried it a couple of times but I always stuck at the end oft the first page when the virtual Mac tries to boot up.

I followed the video instructions and got to the part of choosing the hard drive after formatting. However, for some reason, when I hover over it, the hard drive appears grayed out (as if it is not actually selected). When I press Continue, I get an error message saying that the disk is not large enough. The minimum size required to install the operating system is 35 GB.
When I install it once it's done showing apple logo it says this can you give me any suggestions to fix this please? Low battery threshold is not specified! Defaulting to 0x32
the VM worked but i can change the amout of cup's used, and it says i can sign into apple id.

Answer: CTRL + T shortcut or Files > Tools > Extension Pack Manager

Same. Not only with Monterey but with BigSur and Ventura as well. On Linux though. But Windows 10nis working fine. Windows 11 is a disaster too.

For AMD processors, type in this code in the CMD prompt in addition to the command lines provided in this tutorial.

My VM was stuck before this but this command line solved my issue.
I've tried doing this but it didn't help me. Mine gets stuck on showing the date and then stays there. Any tips?

@@maskstorm1It's not a problem with MacOS itself. If it's too complicated for you, either don't use MacOS, or buy a real Mac. Running another OS on a virtual machine isn't usually difficult, you just require a little patience.

My virtual machine says "system rebooted after panic"? This happens just after the language selection.
I had the same issue and this should fix that:
Shutdown VM and close Virtualbox.
Open Cmd: Admin
Navigate to: cd "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\"
Insert the following (below) and hit Enter afterwards:
VBoxManage setextradata "macOS" "VBoxInternal/TM/TSCMode" "RealTSCOffset"
Reopen Virtualbox and VM and see if this corrects the issue.

Why don't you use your brain? The error message gives you a clue. Try downloading the installer again. Make sure all your downloads are complete. If it still doesn't work, why not do the really obvious thing, and use a search engine to find the answer on the web, rather than the comments section of RUclips?

It's a compatibility issue, run this command in cmd if you are on AMD machine. VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --cpu-profile "Intel Core i7-6700K"

Try reducing the number of CPU's in the settings to one and see if that helps.

as long as you are disconnected from the internet on ur main pc when u launch it, opening a virus on a vm should be fine, but research to double check first

If you have an AMD CPU, redo the whole VM and type this command in addition to the commands he lists in the video.

If it was urgent, asking for help in the RUclips comments section is the worst thing you can do. Try being proactive and search online for solutions. You also need to be more specific when asking for help... nobody else but you knows what computer hardware you have, what version of Windows, what other software you have running or how you're PC is setup etc.
The ISO is corrupted and it won't let me install it.
How about downloading it again? Maybe find a different source for the iso? It's not rocket science.
It does not work on my Ryzen system but it does on my intel system, why?
Because OSX was never written to run on AMD CPU, only Intel CPU since they had sold them with Intel CPU's for a minute.

Same happened to me, but I had a loop and when the installation restarts it's still at 29 minutes remaining.

I deleted the file, but It takes a long time because I think when you install an ISO, it has everything so It takes long.
