While I do agree with you, you got one thing wrong: The diamonds don't all have the same cut as Blue Diamond. Yellow Diamond has a perfect square, even in That Will Be All.

Unless the script points out an inconsistency, it's assumed that a flashback is an accurate representation of a past event. For example, Blue Diamond's palanquin was shown in Garnet's flashback although she never mentioned it, and Steven didn't know what a Diamond's palanquin was when he saw Buddy's drawing of PD's palanquin.

I like how Vox can "disprove" a theory that makes a little bit of sense yet Bismuth is Steven's brother.
RyoMiianPlayz As I said for this theory in this video and before about the Bismuth theory, both was originally constructed when we knew little about both. We knew next to nothing about Bismuth except her design and her being inside Lion, and we knew nothing about the Diamonds when Yellow was first name dropped. But since a lot has changed since both originated, both theories have obviously been disproven.

Or how a few videos back this channel trotted out the theory that White Diamond was corrupted. Their theories as far as I've seen have about a 0% success rate.

We've never said that White Diamond was corrupted as that's something we've never agreed with. And a bulk of theories on here have had validity in the show ;)

I think the gem in the pyramid is a Zircon. one level of command under the diamonds. zircons in real life can often be stronger and harder than diamonds and also can be rarer. Zircon's are viewed as simply cheaper diamonds when in reality they can be far stronger/rarer which could represent their relationship to the diamonds pretty well in the show.

Now (five months later) we've actually seen Zircon's in the show. Definately high in the Homeworld caste system, but they don't appear to be the mural soldiers.
Jacob Hanshew yeah I see that now. Because zircons are related to diamonds and are sometimes even harder and more durable, I thought zircons might've been failed diamonds. I am now corrected though.

Or it could be Steven dreaming up of how it might've looked like while Garnet is telling the story.

Does a Cubic Zirconia count as a gem? If so, then what if these "non-diamonds" we've seen as Cubic Zirconias: a new breed of gem warrior that can be manufactured with little effort or sacrifice of resources? A type of gem that gave Rose and the Crystal Gems a run for their money back in the Gem War and, if still around, could give Steven and the gang much trouble once the invasion finally comes full circle.
For quite a while I had wondered if those gems could be some time of zircon, too.

Perhaps that didn't come out right. I meant that if season 5 was all that was needed to wrap the show up, then I'd be completely fine with that. But who knows, maybe there'll be a few more seasons.

I agree that those aren't the diamonds, but I don't think they would've fixed the murals had they made a mistake designing it the first time around. Just look at the murals in the moon base: Blue Diamond had long dark hair and dress with only one sleeve. Blue Diamond showed up to have shortish white hair styled completely different, with a kind of robe that has both sleeves, etc. Yet they never fixed the mural, you know?
One could argue that the Diamonds looked different back when the murals were made (in the show's history), but Diamonds are supposed to be "flawless beings" so I don't think they'd get poofed to reform that differently. And I highly doubt that the dark hair is supposed to be her cloak, since her cloak is a lot longer than that, and it would cover more than just her head. If it IS her cloak, them either way they never fixed it.
The only thing we've seen changed about them was Yellow Diamond's clothing, but that's something all gems can change on the spot. The common gem can't change their hair color, for instance, and that seems to be a pretty useless skill for only a Diamond to possess.
If you think the murals aren't meant to be accurate, then why is Yellow Diamond's so right, even down to the hair? It just doesn't make sense.
Blue Diamond does have long hair, but she's changed her outfit post Pink Diamond to incorporate her veil to show she's still mourning. As for the hair being colored dark, I think that's supposed to show that it's a different color from her "skin" if anything.

The diamonds couldve actually change they’re look. Just like the crystal gems did in the episode beach party with the pizza family how the gems changed they’re outfit after looking at a magazine. So it’s possible that’s how the diamonds back then. Not sure of pink diamond though

I'm amazed I've never heard of a theory that there could be cubic zirconium duplicates of the diamonds. You know, like it's not a diamond but they have a similar cut, shape, and all to pass off as a diamond.
This could actually be a very useful tactic as it would work like a political decoy. The diamond would be safer if they weren't always seen so instead of they themselves being attacked it would be a cubic.
i mean let's be honest they already use cubic as a fake diamond already lol.
this wouldn't be able to say anything on pink's shattering, maybe her duplicate wasn't ready yet or something who knows.
All I'm theorizing is if that ISN'T white diamond, it could be her "duplicate" of sorts to trick others. :D

Well we found out that White Diamond’s gem is completely different to Yellow and Blue’s gems. (It’s Pink Diamond’s gem flipped vertically/ turned the right way up.)

Rose didn't corrupt anything, it was the Diamonds that corrupted them. Also, the Gem cut isn't the same. The corrupted temple gem is a perfect diamond, while the fighter's has triangle gems.
Legend Z well rose is holding pink diamond up to that Gem so maybe that's how she did it? I mean the temple Gem was very unhappy and was only happy when Steven calmed it so there has got to be some context to that

One thing that comes to mind is perhaps the mural Gems are actually Generals of some sort. Perhaps just below the Diamonds themselves.
Godzillawolf1 Nah, they are the Diamonds. Don't listen to this guy, his theory holds no weight. Diamond cuts differ between yellow and blue. The mural was simplified to make it look clean and not give away too much. It's still the Diamonds.
Zircon is an important gemstone of many colors, and is an historical gemstone used for thousands of years. It is sometimes looked upon as a cheap Diamond simulant, but in actuality it can be a valuable gem. Its color diversity is caused by traces of certain impurities, some of which are radioactive.

I think that rose tried to fix pink's gem and it worked that's why it's fixed and why in a later ep. Stovony had one of those dreams about her.
Also about the third "theory", it dosen't make even sence... a Diamond gem is much bigger than a ordinary gem, it's huge...
Maybe the mural is the fusion of the three diamonds (yellow, blue and white ) when they corrupted the earth

This White Gem is someone who saw history unhold, those murals are her memories and It makes sense that she saw it from her perspective. It is the same thing with the Lighthouse gem who recorded her memories. The hands that are reaching out to the figure on the left side clearly shows that the White gem was among the humans and were at their eye level. This also shows that she was taking care of them like how the Quartz soldiers were or something like that.
The White Gem plays the most important role and has full details on what really happened during the war.

one thing also is that Blue Diamond's gem has rounded corners but when we see Yellow Diamond she has a pointed corners, but both are shaped the same size, this is basically to cause character design to be so important in the show, which makes it so beautiful, therefore it is proven to have the consistency as far as shape and size of the gems.thank you for reading

I dont know if anyone has said this but whatever. I believe the flashback by lapis with the white light corrupting gems was a fusion attack of the three diamonds, white, yellow and blue. This could explain why there was a hidden black triangle in the modern diamond heirarchy in the hand ship with jasper and peridot. Feel free to criticise

What if the Rose is the villain of the series?
Think about it, Pink diamond was trying to bring humans to her zoo, and she clearly didn't have any negative intent with that, as she wanted them to be treated well.
Why start a war over that? It doesn't seem like something a creature that loves all life would do.
Plus, remember the episode where Greg was having a flashback and taking care of a baby? Rose has been living on earth for how long, and she somehow doesn't know not to let the baby endanger itself like that?
And of course, we're lead to believe that in all the centuries that Rose was on earth, it wasn't until Greg showed up, that she decided to mingle with humans? How does that line up with her character?
For someone who's been set up as this paragon of good, she's done a lot of questionable things.
So to go over:
She shattered Pink diamond when bubbling would've probably been sufficient, she started a war over the diamonds trying to bring humans to a safe place away from the kindergarten, she starts a war on the humans world, rather than anywhere else which obviously endangered humans, she claimed to love all life, when she was happy to let pearl go and hurt over and over, and spent centuries keeping herself and the crystal gems away from humans, she plays around with Pearl and Greg's emotions, she doesn't tell the others what Steven is and let's them hold onto hope that she could return, and the most damning of all, she spent centuries on a planet, fought for its inhabitants, and yet she somehow remained so oblivious to the fact that human babies are fragile, that she let baby Onion nearly get killed?
I'm sorry, I have a lot of trouble believing that.
But what if I'm wrong? Then all of the things I've listed are still either plot holes, or inconsistencies with Rose's character. So that's unfortunately a negative towards the show.

Diamonds are condensed carbon the earth has plenty of carbon so if the diamonds tried to create another diamond using the earth's resources but they didn't quite get it right so it was somewhere in between a diamond or an average gem a pseudo or false diamond

In Adventures in Light Distortion Steven found a setting that made the Crystal Gems really small. I think the corrupted Heaven and Earth Beetles are the same gems as the tiny girl-shaped gems in the ship's calibrator. It kinda makes sense since they already had little houses when they found them.

We now know that Pink, Yellow and Blue Diamonds' gems are all cut differently. I don't see the logic in supposing that, because this white tabular cut gem differs from Blue Diamond's gem cut, that the obelisk gem cannot be White Diamond.
Furthermore, the Pyramid is newer: it bears the modern Diamond Authority insignia. Who's to say she didn't arrive after the war to try and stir the pot, only to be poofed by Rose and her and her artifact were transformed into the Pyramid?
I still can't believe this show is so amazing and on Cartoon Network. Its like the deepest storyline ever and its played in line with that one show that shant not be named.

Evidence: if you look into the story of how Ruby and Sapphire met you notice how she says she will reform on home world and remember the slinker how amethyst kept reforming well a diamond would do the same seeing as they are still gems and since rose was pink diamond and Steven has her gem if he died the gem would reform on home world and poof pink diamond is back that's a fact so don't tell the diamonds especially yellow or blue.
i think the pyramid gem was what Egyptians originally worshiped as Ptah or Ra, an early scout that had great powers. It came to appreciate the love of the humans and may have been an initial instigator of the War

it's simple : the "Pink Diamond" in the bubble room is Just the "Power gem" that Garnet bubbled in the Garnet's universe episode

i want to say the crazy pyramidal labyrinth could be black tourmaline (if it were a gem. im pretty sure its a shard powered contraption- something mauybe sort of possibly somewhat like manic scary A.I. frybo in that one episode) but watermelon tourmaline was a big silly blowmel:fish, i mean blow fish. dunno just blahbing.
p.s. and whats up with all the squash?/ pumpkins and water melons like often.
I'm not saying it is a diamond, but two things that stand out as “different” with the gem in Serious Steven is first, the statue seems to smile at Steven when he touches it, and second, Pearl seems to hug it before sending it home.
I just realized something. Yellow and Blue Diamond's Pearls have their gemstone in the same position that their respective diamond has. And as we see in the moon base, White Diamond's gemstone is on her forehead; *just like our Pearl's gemstone.*
(so yeah more evidence for the cg pearl is white diamond's pearl theory even though i don't really follow it)
I love how close that pink gems cut is compared to Pink's though. XD
i have a few things to add to this: for 1, the early concept looks a lot Garnet's early Design from the pilot Episode in the sky arena battling what could be one of the centipedle gems, or even an Era 1 peridot, judging by the hair and gem cut. i say Era 1 peridot because we don't know what their design was like, but they also have the ability to manipulate certain metals, which would probably mean they're pieces of the sky arena itself, or maybe pieces of metal it summoned from it's own gem made from the same substance as the robonoids , except in a sharper, more combat ready shape, traveling around the gem at high speeds. I also think it could be a centipeedle gem from the hair, and form design showing multiple colors separating from the legs and arms, and perhaps the "U" shape under it is infact a crater left by the fight's intensity. As for the final version of the Mural with Rose's final design, i think it's Rose actually curing a corrupted Gem using Diamonds found on earth, and that the temple Gem isn't a currupted gem, but a sort of research Facility where she tested currupted gems. i think she actually made a break through in stopping corruption by using diamonds found on earth, but just stopped for some reason. i also think she's not outside or on a battle field at night, but in a diamond mine she stumbled upon where she first began to try to fix the currupted gems located where the temple is now. if you look closely through out some of the episode, amethyst's room contains Earth gems all over the place, a lot like a mine, which is why i theorize earth's diamonds are pure enough to purge corruption from gems. It also make sense that Maybe rose used peices of tech from the kindergarten to activate these diamonds power, but never giving it an actual form. Maybe even sealing it in an inanimate object. a , oh i don't, central power source located in a Giant upside down Pyramid. And perhaps the gem in the mural that people speculate is white Diamond, may actually be the Earth Diamond's physical form and it's destiny of purifying the corrupted gems.
im looking back through some videos and i realized something, in a video made a year before this, someone else talked about the memorial. They concluded that it was black diamond in the upper right area (A fusion of the diamonds). Going off of this, i concluded that even though the statue looked like it could have been black or even white diamond, it couldn't because its not a diamond. I think that it is a corrupted gem but to put it through torture, the diamonds made it look like a statue of the black diamond fusion. And that black diamond has the ability to cause corruption. Basically what im trying to say, is that i believe that the black totem thing is a corrupted gem that the diamonds shaped the corrupted form into a statue of black diamond, to honor their greatest creation. Though this mini theory goes off the idea that black diamond exist and is the fusion form of all the diamonds.
2:00 I think that the reason that at least Blue Diamonds gem looks so different, is maybe because in "The Answer" we're watching through how Steven was imagining Blue Diamond as Garnet described her. probably why the only other characters we see are Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl, and Rose. This would also explain why garnet voices Blue and the other gems, because Steven doesn't know what they sound like.
question if the corruption song if of white blue and yellow diamond, why are the colors green yellow and white. if the shining is to show the diamonds causing the corruption, then the green rainbow effect should of been blue

I used to think that rose quartz was so powerful (when the pink diamond is rose quartz theory came out... after sworn to the sword came out) that she trapped blue diamond in the light house and trapped white diamond in that pyramid... and left yellow diamond to fail on ruling homeworld
The many armed mural appears similar to the arms of Obsidian when she was forming, as well as her reaching up towards the diamond mech. I believe the murals are prophecy.
My theory is that the mural depicts the now corrupted gem that was in the pyramid. I also believe that One gem is all three gems depicted just in different forms like the robot in roses armoury maybe the gem is cubic zarconia.
There are likely to be more diamonds, but instead they are smaller and weaker and help manage homeworld and its worlds, these diamonds would act as governors and there may even be a diamond council consisting of white diamond and the lesser diamonds, and if so, I say these diamonds would be green in color, you can even see this kn the modern insignia, the three current diamonds with other green triangles, the smaller diamonds, which together from a larger diamond, ethier representing homeworld, the diamond council, or a fusion.
I REALLY want to see the forms of the gems in the burning room and on the murals now. A diamond-looking, non-diamond gem? Count me the hell in!
I knew there was no way the pyramid gem would be white diamond, but it's good to get some clarification on what it actually is.
And I was a little surprised that the mural gems aren't the diamonds, but I guess it makes sense
I was on amino and was watching videos until I saw that gem I showered it to others but they said I ps that picture and I was on a phone so I said opal killed the bird so how will I posably be able to do it and my question is were did the gems go that was in the big bird

Haven't watched the full vid yet but the temple gem can move things without touching it like telekinesis and the one in the mural also has telekinesis so the gem that rose is attacking in the mural is the temple gem
The drawings in the mural are the diamonds because pearl in fact tells Steven and viewer about it, it might not look like the diamonds because of change in the appearance of the characters and they liked the look until more recent episodes.
I wonder if the diamonds adamantine has something to do with the corruption song. the adamantine of course has to do with a diamonds luster, and when the song plays their is a really bright flash of light. Just some food for thought.
not really a theory but just a discussion I was thinking about. Would the fusion of rose, pearl, garnet, and amethyst look the same if Steven,pearl,garnet and amethyst fused?? opinions?
I believe not because of how Steven drastically differs from the appearance of his mother.
