Okay wait, so what if "Red Diamond" was supposed to occur naturally, or if the color Red is higher up in the hierarchy. Red Diamonds are a lot more rare than White in nature. What if White purposely "overcooked" Pink Diamond in the hopes that she wouldn't overthrow her one day as Red Diamond?
Even with the color theory white brings up in CYM
Pink is commonly made by adding white to red
John Baca OMG DAMN
Magneta and cyan replace red and blue as true primary colors
Or undercooked because she is shorter than the other diamonds
Red is the most RARE MINERAL
They're cyan, magenta, and yellow, the secondary colors of light.
Considering how important light is to SU, this is probably intentional.
sagely Demonologist thank you!! I was about to comment this, the true primary colors are yellow cyan and magenta but this guy just used elementary school color theory haha.
While I do agree with the OP about it probably relating with CMYK and Light based color theory, I think its unfair to say He used 'elementary school' color theory, as though it's somehow lesser or incorrect. Red/Yellow/Blue is as legit of a color theory as CMYK, it is just a different system used by a different medium and profession. CMYK is generally used in printing, RGB in science/tech, and RYB in art/physical media. So while I think Awestruckvox is offtrack on his reasoning why Pink Diamond could have been a Red Diamond, lets be grown ups and not make fun of him for nothing.
that was my reasoning. The colors on the symbol resemble cymk (or cymw since "key" refers to black iirc)
the symbol and the characters' palettes arent exact. the symbol shows "blue" as more cyan, which is fairly close to turquoise (or even teal if darkened down more). While cyan, turquoise and teal are not uncommonly regarded as *shades* of blue, the character is more the standard blue color, unmistakable for green or purple. Same goes for "pink" which could refer to light magenta, rose, salmon, there's plenty others.
could go either way.
+AnalizaTheShark It's additive vs reductive colors. RBY is just psuedoscience.

Hello!
Hi
Many
I just realized, the number of circles on each mural symbolizes the amount of colonies the diamond had!
Bikkerinthehouse Cool
They are not just circles they're literally planets
Yeah
LOL
I thought the rubies said that-
Red Diamond is a coffee brand. Blue Diamond is an almond brand. Yellow Diamond is a chip brand. White Diamond's favorite meal was chips & almonds with coffee to drink. She wanted to create a red, blue, and yellow diamond so she could have her favorite meal. Blue and Yellow Diamond came out correctly, but the red diamond was defective and turned out pink. Pink Diamond ruined White Diamond's meal, so she got rid of her.

So i did some "research" and i found a description of a pink diamond:
"Although pink diamonds get their colour from interstitial impurities or structural defects, their value soars due to their romantic associations."
This quote was (surprisingly) from Sims 3. And it reinforces the idea that Pink is the "wrong diamond"
That would explain why she could be shattered, the others cant be shattered easily as Pink because they are perfect
I still like the theory that Pink Diamond is off-color, but there's a small problem with that fact. It's true that pink diamonds get their color from impurities! However, so do other diamonds. A diamond without impurities would be white or clear.
Now, could impurities have something to do with the design of the Diamond authority? Definitely. We still know nothing about White Diamond, after all.
Plant Freak so that would mean white diamond is the purest out of all of them, which is actually a good explanation and would also mean she is the most powerful
All colored diamonds are that way due to impurities and defects
Ruby Marlene sims3 is the BEST place to get your info though
Well if pink diamond was supposed to be red, I can see why she came out pink
Red diamonds are in fact the most rarest of diamonds, so because of the high rarity, pink diamond came out pink, and not red, probably due to the kind of kindergarten she came from (That is if she was made from a kindergarten).
Just a thought.
Safaria Chan here comes a thought 😏

Good point.
Safaria Chan the great diamonds are just sprout from the ground and convince by white diamond they must spread colony??

Have you ever heard of The Paragon. It's a huge perfect diamond. On it, it has a blue, white, pink and yellow diamond on the necklace that The Paragon is on. So... maybe they were intended to be like that. They all fuse into one diamond and instead of black diamond like everyone says. Maybe she would be called Paragon

white is all colors, not the absence of color. and the fire diamond is red blue and yellow, while the colors seen on the diamonds symbol is its own set of primary colors, cyan, magenta, and yellow
TitanOfGlass Myyhos no henny white is paint is the absence of color but in light is all colors soo i guess you're right he should've said the all colors cuz they're made of light and she's the source of all the gem existence
TitanOfGlass Myyhos sooo never mind *navy laughs*
TitanOfGlass Myyhos I always thought all colours when mixed together are like, a brown neutral colour.
If you're talking about light, white is all colors together, and black is none. If you're talking about paint, yes, brown.
Wizardporn2008 When considering mixing paint, this is true. But when considering light, the colours mix to make a white light. Also, light has different primary colours to paint: red, green, and blue. The secondary colours for light are cyan, yellow, and magenta. When all three primary colours or two complementary colours (a primary and its corresponding secondary) are mixed together you get a white light. (That's all additive colour mixing, there's also subtractive, but that involves filters instead of just shining coloured lights on the same spot and leads to black with different primary colours.)

Hey! Okay so I'm going to an art school and if you actually want to mix colours, you normally don't use blue, yellow and red, but instead cyan, yellow and magenta. Cyan is a lighter blue and it matches the blue of the diamond insignia almost perfectly. Yellow stays the same and magenta is pink. It almost looks exactly like the pink diamond on the insignia. So if you look at it like that, pink diamond being pink would make sense. The diamonds would still be the three primary colours.
If you don't believe me, just google "cyan yellow magenta" and compare it to the insignia. It's literally the same colours.
I'm so dumb; I just typed out pretty much this exact comment before scrolling down to find yours, lol! I completely agree!

I looked it up and that was my first result
That makes sense good job figuring that out
Idk if this matters at all, but I do remember that if you take a magenta, a yellow and a cyan light source and that you put them all on top of each other, you obtain a white light. Just throwing that there hoping it's relevant
If you combine red, blue, and yellow light (which gems' bodies are said to be made of) you get white light.
I know I'm _way_ too late.... Like, I literally watched the movie earlier this month.

_The primary colors_
Millicent Schächter how? You make cyan with blue and green and green is made of blue and yellow soooooo yeah but I’m just a speck in this world and my opinion does not matter and hopefully it does not matter to you same with magenta but with different colors
Sorry if I some how hurt your feelings 😐😖😖
@@Msskelebones go check out echo Gillette she does a video about this and explains this perfectly in my opinion.
@@Msskelebones Have you never seen a printer? You make all the colors with Cyan, Magenta and yellow ink...
Millicent Schächter no I have not seen a color printer
@@Msskelebones The blue you can make with cyan and magenta is much brighter and "pure". The green you can make with yellow and cyan is much brighter and "pure". The red you can make with magenta and yellow is much brighter and "pure". Also, purple is cyan+magenta+magenta, etc. Just try painting with only cyan, magenta, yellow and black on a white paper. The range and the purity of colors will be much greater than if you used blue, red, yellow and black. This is why printers use those 4 pigments: CMYK - Cyan Magenta Yellow Key (Black). The reason why this happens lies in your eyes, btw. Our cones perceive red as opposing cyan, green as opposing magenta and blue as opposing yellow. For additive (emission) RGB would cover the spectrum. For subtractive (reflection) CMY would cover the spectrum.
So..
Red = Aggressive? (Kind of like an aggressive, scary leader kind of thing)
Pink= Kind and Gentle? (Technically, a personality like this isn't fit for leading, I mean, people kinda say that people should use their head more than their hearts)
Okay, so Diamonds are intimidating and respected by all gems, (except the rebels) so all gems are expected to serve their diamonds, if ever the gem makes a mistake, they'd be considered of no use, which means either shattering, or dumping them somewhere? I guess? Anyways, mistakes are not allowed in homeworld, for they are just a waste, but with pink diamond's personality (which has not been confirmed yet?) being sweet and caring and all that gud stuff, is much more accepting and kind to which she feels for every single gem, useless or not. The problem is, with a loveable, attitude like that, Homeworld, and probably the diamond authority as well, can't progress with a bunch of overcooked, imperfect gems, so Pink diamond had to be shattered.
Or then I could be wrong XD
MoonDrop holy *carp* that's amazing!
And then her shattering was set up by letting her keep a off color gem with a purpose of warning her for danger
Witch failed and led to the other diamonds not being able to be blamed

In the last episode white said “you were always the part of ME I had to suppress” I think she creates the diamond from their first planets, she picks the planets to make the diamond. She had to use part of her to creat them.
Yellow could have come from a planet with harsh weather, lightning and thunder the day she came out.
Blue came from the ocean, or the oceans crust. Rippling waves, currents so violet they drag you under, emotions so strong you can feel them pulling tears from your eyes.
Pink loved life, she tried to creat it herself. She saved it for a price, but It didn’t matter to her if they had a gem or not. Because everything in nature is perfect, it comes out as it’s meant to.always perfect.
White diamond was shot out of a star, blinding light following behind her. Crashing into a planets and breaking it into two, a perfect light in this dark universe. She must creat more of herself.
(Theory 2: pink diamond was created using the powers of yellow and blue, useing there love(?) to incubate a child possibly(?) that’s why pink was so full of love. She was created using love. She was just a kid if you think about it. But do gems go through that stage?? I guess we have to wait for the movie))
Wow I read allat for what 😭
Pretty sure White just created the other 3 with her own powers. Also, literally all of it makes sense and has near perfect grammar until the second theory. First of all, yellow and blue would create green. Second of all, multiple gems literally stated that they’re never children!
I think more likely the diamonds are literally parts of white, white removing what they view as flawed from themself

I'm sorry for this😂. White isn't a color it's a tint😐😂😂
Nigga Walsh tints are colors mixed with white and shades are colors mixed with black, I mean you could consider it a color but it's actually a tint and black is a shade
Raymond Cornell By what you're saying, how is white a tint if another color mixed with white is a tint? don't think of an off white color I want you to think of the purist form of white and tell me just what you think that is. is it still a 'tint?' no. its a color
white and black are both colors and can be used for various things besides shading and tinting I've used black as a color a lot I mean there's a gemstone called black onyx and there's a such thing as a black diamond one of the I think five colors of diamond white which is clear, pink, blue, and yellow 😊
I have a question: if eyeball was claiming that he has never seen rose quartz "with her own eye", then how did she see rose shatter pink diamond if she said she'd never seen her as she claimed in the episode "bubbled"?
Like so Vox can see this
Barn Owl Entertainment that's my point; why would eyeball lie about seeing the event if he isn't a witness at all? Was she tipped off by someone to say that's what she really saw? If so, who did she get tipped off by; and more importantly, why?
When did Ruby say she has NEVER seen Rose?
Lol, she said that she HAD seen her with her own eye, not that she hadn't.
AeridisArt girl try me I just watched bubbled
Happy Triangle Man the episode bubbled (last episode of season 3)
I just watched the new episode... omg I don't know what to think, it looks like Pink actually was "imperfect" and small and cute... what if pink diamond was an accident? OMFG
Alexa Franco I'm also thinking, when we saw the mural of her you could say, she looked like she had shorter hair and different clothes, maybe we saw an earlier PD and then she changed to be more.. respectable :/
Bocolate awww, maybe that's why she wanted to have her own colony, maybe she tried to be a "real"diamond
Accident, huh?
“Aw shoot, Yellow, ya didn’t forget the gem condom, did ya?”
maybe she was meant to be a rose quartz Soldier on Earth but she came out bigger and then the diamonds just took her in as a diamond and gave her Earth
just search it up, actually pink is a defect or an accidental diamond (talking about the real pink diamond crystals in the real world), the color is actually a defect so maybe she is an accident or mistake
I'm no steven universe expert, but I do enjoy watching a few episodes from time to time, and I think I have a theory... I have watched a previous theory about white diamonds pearl and how she is mind controlled by white and is actually pink's original pearl. So when a gem gets affected by white, they turn white- I presume. So, red + white = pink. Maybe white did something to pink? But scince pink was a diamond, her color only got affected a bit, this is also maybe why she is small. But idk? just a theory I made on the spot. Again, I dont watch all steven universe stuff so my theorys probablywring but its somthing worth considering ig?
OOOOOOOH
But you see later that in change your mind, blue and yellow get controlled and go all white, but beside that it’s a good theory, maybe white attempted to do so but failed?
@@dingusdotcom2124 no not rly she just wanted to "remove their flaws" or just incapacitate them for their incompetence.

@@SorielHDTBers not fully
It's off topic but
In the episode Bismuth
Bismuth said Rose's sword would destroy the physical body of a gem but never the gem
Which means Rose could have not shattered pink diamond because in the episode "the trial" it is said that Rose shattered Pink with a sword
So this means it is impossible for Rose to shatter Pink with a sword
...
Not to mention Rose's sword is a real slash-heavy weapon. you *could* thrust with it, but Jesus tapdancing christ are there better options like the breaking point: a pneumatic spike that forcefully pierces hard material like a gem. all that force in one little spot would be devastating.
Maybe Pink Diamond was shattered with a different sword, like one similar to Pearl's swords. Not saying that Pearl shattered PD, but maybe someone else.
DoodleAllDay Eyeball discribed it as a "huge sword" That's more in line with Rose's sword, as Pearl uses slim, rapier like blades.
plot twist she did it with cloud's sword
Oooor, guys, Eyeball wasn't referencing to Rose's sword but she was talking about the temple fusions huge sword. Maybe Rose didn't sneak her way to Pink but T.F. forced her way to her. idk, that idea doesn't really work
I really like this theory, especially if you tie in Yellow's interaction with Pink in Jungle Moon. Yellow's annoyed by Blue's grieving throughout the series but still treats her as an equal, even comforting her in some instances as well as letting Blue's opinions be voiced. But when Yellow is talking with Pink, she literally seems to spit "PINK" almost as an insult and does her best to not only ignore her but invalidate her ideas. From the viewer's perspective, we can easily misunderstand how it might've been said out of annoyance with Pink's assumed childishness, but... Pink is so upset that she SHATTERS HER OWN REFLECTION. Spanning this off of the fact this show loves underlying meanings and hinting at things through metaphor, I don't think this was a childish reaction to not getting a colony, it was an emotional response to Yellow pointedly reminding Pink of her being off coloured. I can also see that the only colony given to pink WOULD be earth, as if to remind/shame her of being a failed Diamond. It's also a great cover and story to Homeworld that the off-colored gems from Earth were because of their off-colored ruler rather than something going wrong within the gem society/system itself.
I've barely started the video, but it makes sense. If she was killed/shattered by a diamond, this seems like the best explanation
LolaTheLion •_• the only problem in this theory is that the diamonds are still light forms like other gems, since they are light, the primary colors of lights would actually be red, green, and blue, and the pigment, or primary colors for paint and stuff would be cyan, yellow and magnets, don't take this as offense i just like informing people.
but it's just my own theory,
A show theory 😅
Prince Javier
That's true, but the secondary colours for light are cyan yellow and magenta! Which would make sense and make pink a normal diamond
LolaTheLion •_•
I still kinda want her to be (supposed to) be pink diamond
I heard this theory that Pink is really an over-cooked diamond, since she’s so small and is a pinkish color instead of like the other diamonds.
If Pink was supposed to be Red, then she would be seen as a lesser Diamond so that's why she would lead the more often defective/off colour/"wrong" gems. She wouldn't be seen as deserving of good gems
that's a good theory but diamond coloring is based off the light theory of colour. the primary colours are magenta, cyan and yellow so the diamond coloring is correct.
Well guess who predicted the future.
But Jasper, an absolute beast who took out 30 gems when emerging from her hole, a legend among warriors like one of the Rubies, was assigned to her, instead of being given to Yellow as a military gem when her strength was discovered.
Genie O That's probably also why in Jungle Moon, in Stevens dream pink doesn't have ANY colonies while watching Yellow
I don't necessarily agree. The Diamonds are supposed to be the powerhouses of the gems. An offcolored Diamond may just be held to a higher standard than even the regular Diamonds. I could see them pressing her for perfection(Something an off color couldn't do just solely by nature, at least not by homeworlds standards) which is why I could totally see Pink rebelling against them so easily. Of course after years of being crushed under their expectations and being treated like a child, of course she clung to something genuinely hers until "Death". Also, She was on Earth a total of what? A Minute in a Gem's lifespan?? She could have been pressed to appear as powerful and as them. They would give her the most powerful gems because she'd need them more. Jasper because she is literally the most powerful next to the Diamonds themselves. The Diamonds couldn't put Pink in charge of something if they didn't KNOW she could defend it. So they gave her the best gems, to ensure her victory. Kind of to save face for themselves.
Just an unlikey theory but, what if Pink Diamond was red to begin with and had been shattered before and like Lion and Lars, she resurrected and became pink?
DeadGhostGuy *cough* woah
MinecraftDude 777 buddy that was before A Single Pale Rose came out
even after " a single pale rose" came out the theory can still stand, it would have obviously happened before our rose, so all of the other Rose Quartz were not bubbled yet, so one of the other Rose Quartz could have resurrected her
Ethan Ninja456 but our rose quartz probably didn’t have the same powers as a normal rose quartz, since she was a diamond. Her powers were far greater than any other quartz.
I feel like the other diamonds did something and idk this is a good theory
White isn't the absence of color, it's all the colors of the rainbow combined, which could be related as to why she is the leader.
That's black..... Also white reflects all colors to make it white, but technically all colors you see are the colors that are being reflected by an object. So there you go, also not just the rainbow, all colors. So learn your colors kids

@@bonelesscommunism4031 its just that hes saying that pink should have been red diamond and shes an off color because of that when technically speaking pink diamond could magenta diamond and just isnt presented that way because it doesnt sound as nice as pink diamond.
In printers soooo excuse YOU
I know this comments is over a year old, but magenta is not a primary colour. It is a very cool colour though, since it technically doesn't exist, as in it's not one wavelength of light. The average of the wavelengths of magenta is actually the wavelength of green, but since our brain detects multiple wavelengths instead of one, it shows us something else.
@@Warlocktopus colour theory. CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and key(black) is the primary colour in subtractive colour model, this is what most printers use. While RGB (red, green, blue) is the primary colours in the additive colour model, this is how light and most tv screens work
gems (including diamonds) gain colors when forming due to extra minerals being present. these other minerals could be seen as an impurity, and so would be minimised. for a diamond, they would be minimised as much as possible to make the diamond as "pure" as possible. for a diamond, the process would be extensive to make sure as little extra material as possible is present, meaning the diamonds would emerge with lighter colors. this means that while yellow and blue diamond are both lighter versions of their colors, and pink diamond is just a light red color we call pink.
This could be true. The funny thing is off colors are rarer and seen more precious by humans. For the gems this is terrible. In our world, a padparadscha would be way more worth than a "normal" sapphire in the same size.
Interesting... that would make white diamond the most "pure"
Your right this is absolutely correct
Yes pink is not a completely different color than red and is definitely not a secondary color as he said. And with the way it sounds like white diamond is the leader (and maybe the original diamond) i feel like the other diamonds being lighter in color than your standard primary colors visually symbolizes the influence white diamond had on the others.
I think this theory is standing up relatively well if you look at the newest episode Jungle Moon. Pink diamond was absolutely the youngest and the least mature of the diamonds. She acts like an annoying brat little sister and begged for her own colony. I think the idea of her being created in some form of a kindergarten is very interesting and honesty kind of probable
Roo Wanderer makes sense especially cause she's tiny, which if she wasn't off-colored she would be the same height as the other diamonds
Aimee Mena
I don’t think she was actually that tiny...
Riley McLellan she was because the shattered glass was at the same height as Stevonnie
Onyinyechi Ikwuanusi
No. Because think back to Garnet’s flashback in the episode Gemcation.
Riley McLellan what about it
do u think the diamond references their gem placement white diamond forehead= top of diamond. yellow and blue= chest middle of diamond pink= stomach. bottom of diamond
Duh
Yes!!! I think Pink’s Diamond is upside down purposefully. Just think yellow and blue are equals so their shapes are the same, they are in the middle of the diamond authority symbol and the shape of both their diamonds Is a more symmetrical way to draw a diamond. This leads me to believe that white diamonds is the same shape as pinks but right side up. Just think about how the diamond authority symbol is with white at the top yellow and blue in the middle and pink at the bottom.
Alex Penguin Perhaps this isn't just a coincidence. Like mentioned in the video, the murals depict white descending, blue and yellow stagnant, and pink ascending. There is no solid reasoning as to why gems have their gems where they are, so perhaps their placement has something to dobwith their origins and levels of influence.
So if white's gem is on the forehead, Is the pearl of the crystal gem her pearl?
Neutron Star We don't quite know yet. However, based on her coloring and her gem as you mentioned it might be likely. Not to mention her passionate feelings about homeworld
No, primary colours are (in additive synthesis (light)) Red, Green and Blue, forming white if they're all added to each other, and (in negative synthesis (paint)) cyan, yellow and magenta - creating black if they're added to each other in equal proportions. Which is why printers print in CMYK (Cyan Yellow Magenta and Key (Black)) while most computer picture are in RGB (Red Green Blue). Seeing that gems are made of light, the additive synthesis should be the one to use, however, it's Yellow Diamond and not Green Diamond, so saying Pink Diamond should be red because of primary colours is innacurate. Also I have a feeling "white" diamond is just colorless diamond - more likely it's how (real life) gems are formed that should be taken into account, colours are impurities and metal deposits, and the four diamonds are classic diamond colours (colourless, yellow, blue, and pink) that are very valuable. If Pink should have been red it would mean she should be darker with more impurities - which is very much the exact opposite of what proper diamond are supposed to be (correction : red diamond and black diamond exist! But they're really rare). People are still debating what makes pink diamonds pink but it seems that it comes from "enormous additional pressure that these diamonds undergo during their formation", which would explain why PD is smaller than the other diamonds, she has to be "overcooked" to take that hue.
:O Am Gonna Have a Loooonnnnngggg Day reading this!
It’s like nobody notices that the diamonds are really yellow, cyan, and magenta!
Loreleï S The Primary colours are yellow, blue And Red.
Joanna Kluza well, in paint we call them that, but in color theory they are not actually the primary colors. If you look it up on wikipedia you will probably see them talk about red-green-blue and cyan-yellow-magenta first.
there is such a thing as a white diamond in real life. White diamonds are different than colorless diamonds and they're different from gray diamonds as well
Considering gems are made of light I would believe they follow the Light spectrum which follows to colors Yellow, Cyan and Magenta, which would be Yellow, Blue, Pink.
It's blue, red, and green
No, that's the color theory. I'm saying the Light spectrum because they are made out of light not color.

This is an old comment but pink can definitely be a light red. Most pink you see though usually has at a least a bit of magenta in it
@@foursidekm Oh for sure!
Digital doesn't mean diddly. The definition of pink is LITERALLY light red
White shattered pink because blue and pink were so close they fused and made purple diamond
It's your boy Dom but then blue would know about the circumstances of pinks death
It's your boy Dom If this theory were true, then why only shatter Pink Diamond if both BD and PD fused? Wouldn't WD shatter them both? Besides, BD hates fusion with a passion so I doubt it.
Harry Potter but she probably hates it because of pink getting shattered and she was her fuse friend like garnet
The Oddball The reason why WD wouldn't shatter BD is explained in the video, shattering two diamonds is incredibly foolish as they're hard to produce and are the leaders of millions of gems. Destroying two leaves only two left to rule over lots of other gems which increases the chances of rebellion
No shewas support to bee pink
But hey it's just a theory! A Diamond theory

I'd have to say that I don't believe the Pink Diamond is off colored theory. However, I'm not that overly skeptical about the theory that Pink Diamond had a court full of off colors. In fact; I have my own theory that Pink Diamond was not Rose Quartz's true greatest enemy, but actually a secret sympathizer of Earth and the Crystal Gems. We all know that Pink Diamond had Earth under her authority, so naturally, she would be the Diamond who was closest to and knew most about Earth and the beings who inhabit it. Between this, and the few things we heard from Blue Diamond about Pink Diamond being a caring gem and that humans were a part of Pink Diamond's legacy; I don't believe that it would be that much of a stretch to believe that Pink Diamond began to reconsider going through with the Earth colony. But naturally, if Pink Diamond did that, it would cause gem society to question the entire Diamond Authority. So, in order to preserve the good name of the Diamonds, either Yellow or White Diamond shattered Pink Diamond and blamed it on Rose Quartz to avoid making an enemy out of Blue Diamond. I know that this theory might have holes in it, but do point them out. It's discussions like these that found out the big reveal of Gravity Falls.
The Green Dragon 53 I love and agree with this
The Green Dragon 53 I wonder if its possible that pink diamond was actually working with rose quartz and the crystal gems- encouraging free will, advocating that gems be who they wanna be instead what they were made to be like the humans pink cared so much about. This would have completely changed the way the gem society worked, especially because the crystal gems are proof that gems can in fact be more than what they're made for - so this would be the motive for why yellow diamond would shatter pink diamond. I also think that this would explain why rose quartz was there in the first place, I think she was there to warn pink diamond- to save the one that made her.
The Green Dragon 53 I agree with all of this!
"*Instead, scientists speculate that the stress and strain experienced by rough diamonds when they are in the Earth’s mantle causes the diamond’s lattice to be distorted. This distortion creates graining and pink color zones to occur within the diamond.*"
So like... found this on a site... Idk if you can add onto your theory or something but I thought it was interesting
+Kada Art
Well, I don't know what you mean with 'scientist speculate', but coloration in most minerals are caused by impurities within their latices structure.
What if diamonds develop as they age? Like yellow diamond when she was young was a pale shade of yellow, maybe like a beige kind of color and blue diamond was a sky blue color... So since pink was the youngest she starts pink but develops into red??
Samee Mahmud gems don't age from what I remember, they start off the way they're meant to be
Samee Mahmud
I thought that gems don’t age and their physical form is just a light projection?
the diamonds could be different
i could totally see this working with regeneration, just look at flashback episodes: Amethyst used to be a LOT smaller, and when Garnet first fused she looked like cotton candy. So maybe 'age' isnt the best word but i 100% support this theory, just with regeneration.
Amethyst aged
I think she was overcooked. the chair on the moonbase was small and BD was taller than Pink Diamond's palenquin. I think that's why she was shattered
Sinister Squirrel well the su crew has always been loose with the proportions of characters from episode to episode. but I hope your Idea is true it would be way cooler.
Pink has her gem on her navel. The lowest placed diamond. Therefore, on the bottom of the four diamond insignia
Yellow and Blue have their gems on their chests. The middle of their bodies. Therefore, they're both in the middle of the diamond insignia.
And White Diamond has her gem on her forehead and on the top of the insignia!

Pink isnt a secondary color. Pink is a shade of red, still a primary color.
D Valentine Bernabé I disagree because you can only make pink with white and red, but you are making it so that you take red and then boom magically pink
pink isnt a primary color, nor is it a shade of red. pink is a tint; not a primary, secondary, nor tertiary. the only three primary colors are red, yellow, and blue.
@@mh-wo8ze Pink is a lighter shade of red, add white to red you get pink.
Pink is its own color. Grab hot pink and explain to me how that’s red?
@@tempolynnrealofficial Hot pink is literally Light red + Fluoresent stuff
I’m not hating but he is basing his proof of that red, yellow and blue are primary and because pink diamond isn’t red that she should’ve have been. That may not be true because if you think about it, pink represents love, blue = emotion , yellow = strength, white = intellect. This would so much more sense. So the diamond’s colour was most likely not Joseph from being popularly known to as primary colours but as type of powers.
Just my thoughts on this...
or you could say white represents mind and pink represents heart.
You can use red and pink simultaneously as color symbols of love
pink represents Id

So who's here after watching Jungle Moon?
ChampionElCid me
me, so we can confirm PD didnt emerge from Earth as she still existed prior to Earth's invasion
Buddy pretty much she exist before she took control of Earth prior to her shattering of course
Me. But what if Pink changed when she got earth?
Here is one little idea who it could have been:
First the earth was only a new toy for her. She liked the respect, trust and control she gained and she started experiments on her colony.
But one day it hits her when she starts seeing death, fear and hope in her gems and the life on the earth. Short she started to take responsibility, but also realising what being a diamond means.
When she met the diamonds again she started yelling at the them asking if *that* is what they always do if they invite a planet if *that* is what they do with their gems thinking that they, as their leader, should protect and help their following gems instead of forcing them to do their bidding.
But the diamonds explain her that it is too dangerous to let them think for themselves because that could curse more death and pain for all gems and for all what they builded up and that they di infact product their gems.
The confused Pinkdiamond goes back to earth frustrated about the situation she's been put into. She saw herself in her gems, ignored, offcolored, misunderstood and in a position she first though she was made for but realised that she doesn't want to be in this position.
But being forced in leadership she started learning and became better at leading. She invited Bluediamnd and a lot of her gems at her colony showing what she learned what great gems she created. This was the when the rebellion started but Pink had to be a leader.
At first she didn't realised how dangerous this little rebellion at her colony could become.
The other diamonds just claimed:"We are stronger than them. Sooner or later this rebellion will die but you better do it quickly or you have ask us for help."
This is how the war started. The rebellion was everything Pinkdiamond wanted at the beginning of her regency but now she have to protect her kind, her position and the stability she builded up.
At the day Rosequarz managed it to get to her she sendet all her following gems away, saying that she will end this by herself.
They both start fight but Pink doesn't want to win. When Rose strike her down (but not shattered) she started crying. "I never wanted that.. I never want to slave my people I wanted them to be free but see to what freedom leads! Thousands are dead and that because of me. Because I wasn't strong enough, because I couldn't help enough, because I never knew what I really wanted. I'm not a leader... I can't protect anyone... I'm useless... " While she is saying that Pink started to become corrupt. Rose is shocked screaming that she has to stop. But Pink herself is also shocked so she cried for help what made it worse. Crying at at the lowest point of her live Pink shatters her own gem, showing her power she didn't use on Rose.
But she managed to say her last word:" End this!" While looking at Rose before she vanished in front of her.

The Roundtable Awestruck Vox, you're forgetting about the one major piece of information that completely debunks this theory. All gems in Steven Universe have a real life equivalent. This might have been an acceptable theory, if it wasn't for the fact that red diamonds don't exist. Therefore Pink Diamond couldn't have supposed to have been Red Diamond, since she would have no real life equivalent.
Nathanael Perez There actually is.
The Roundtable Hey guys, I'm pretty sure Gemcrust started sending cease and desist letters to any RUclipsrs using their artwork without permission. Please get the artist's permission before using as Gemcrust has been talking on their blog about how their art keeps getting used w/o permission or monetary compensation (royalties) by many RUclips channels.
Nathanael Perez there are red diamonds not they are so rare there are only about 30 confirmed to exist. which actually fits the theory since rarity could play a part in why pink came out off color.
*but
Actually, red isn’t (technically) a primary color. If you’re trying to get bright, clean colors, the primaries are cyan, yellow, and magenta. This could explain why she’s more pink in hue and why the diamond authority is more of a pastel compared to the fire diamond. Also, if they’re hinting that red will be the main antagonist in the su movie, then pink would be pink for a reason. However, the idea of her being “cooked” for too long makes sense! I can’t remember which episode but someone brought up Amethysts’ height compared to other amethysts and she replied “I stayed in the hole too long” so that could be a factor (if she was created via kindergarten)
Also irl, when amethysts stay in the ground for too long..
They shrink in size

Red, yellow and blue are primary colors. That's debatable actually. Some say the true primary colors are yellow, magenta, and cyan. Magenta can be mixed with another color to make a true red as well.
Yes, but the so-called true primary colors are the primary colors of light, red blue and yellow are primary colors of Pigment, what reflects off of light. if you mix all pigments, you get black/brown, if you mix all light shades you get white.
Jordan Valencia So doesn't that support the idea that pink diamond isn't off-colour?
In real life diamonds come in different shades pink, yellow, blue and a milky white, I'm almost positive the reason why the diamonds in the show are that color is because that's the color they come in real life
Madison XYZ yes that is correct
Darel Halgarth correct
My theory is white diamond formed at like the start of the universe under immense pressure and it took her thousands of years to be able to make a physical form as the first sentient diamond and then after colonising her first planet (homeworld) she decided she could do it alone so she created a special type of kindergarden for the diamonds (Blue and Yellow) and then eventually decided to create one more that being Red diamond but because the planet underwent so much stress sucking out even more nutrients than normal to make Blue and Yellow diamonds homeworld didn’t have the resources in the ground to form a an ordinary Red diamond and so as a result used what it could from the plant to form what little diamond it could essentially undercooking the diamond and leaving her pink as a result and also left her at a shorter size due to the lack of nutrients in the special diamond linger garden to form her. And then they kept her around as they felt sorry for her as she was still a diamond but not a true one which is why it took persuading for her to colonise her own planet. It also explains why the planet has so much technology on it Bruce’s the planet can’t grown anything anymore as we see in the season 5 special there are so many kingergardens on homeworld so as a result nothing could grow like the prime kindergarden on Earth
Well, Pink diamond was probably made on earth. Notice the diamond murals and how they are holding planets (Or in yellow's case; stars) and pink only has earth, they are probably holding their origin planets.
During the information scene where peridot is talking about the cluster, she shows a world map. It matches up with earth other than a huge hole in Russia where approximately, a very large diamond mine is. We know when gems emerge, there is a hole left behind. There is a HUGE hole in the landmass of Russia on the map peridot showed where the giant diamond mine is approximately located.
Earth is also the only planet on pink's mural and so it is her first/only planet or even her origin planet. This shows she is a NEW diamond. She is young, so she would have less power than her 'sisters' (And perhaps be more loving than her older, age hardened sisters). White has the most planets and is likely the oldest diamond, giving her the most power. Blue has more than yellow so she is older, but yellow likely came from a star, or two (According to her mural), making her stronger so they have similar power to reside over Homeworld.
Homeworld itself is likely where the first diamond, white diamond, came from, as she is holding it in the center of her mural and it has as much, or even more of an illustrious glow as her gem in her forehead. Thus making it 'Homeworld' the first Diamond's home.
The murals show pink as the only one to emerge up, likely because she is young and this is her emerging planet, since the murals are in the base on the moon, that would make sense.
Kenna Med the murals have nothing to do with their origins. They most likely all came from homeworld. Those planets are just their colonies. Pink was probably new and had no colonies under her belt
And the diamonds aren't that big to make a hole like that. Pink's palanquin wasn't even as large as Blue diamond's hand ship so I don't think her size is that big compared to the hole where Russia would be
guessing she wasn't created on earth, considering the colony there was created for her, meaning it was created after she was made.
Kenna Med this is a freaking essay
"why would I use the sunglasses emoji, when I can use Garnet?" I died when he said that

Another thing that I always saw was that Yellow was the only one doing anything. She controlled everything, she had so much work to do, while White was doing whatever she was doing and Blue was mourning. Yellow was probably extremely upset that so much pressure was being placed on her, so she continuously tried to make Blue come back to homeworld. I also like their dynamic, while they don’t really like each other, Yellow is still protective of Blue. It’d make sense for Pink to be off-colored.
Pink Diamond being literally off color could explain why gems use the term off color to describe defective gems or cross-gem fusions even if the problem isn't with their actual color.

I love how you support theories with hard evidence. Other youtubers in the past: "Rose must be Pink Diamond because......uh."
Zachary D huge they would say
And she was D:
Watching this years later, it makes even more sense now that we know how Pink was treated by the other Diamonds. We know that she was constantly being emotionally abused and being locking up when she did anything even slightly out of order. The other Diamonds didn't get this treatment, no they weren't treated the best, but they weren't treated like they were a mistake. I honestly think the reason they where so hard on Pink is because she an off color but they didn't want anyone to know that, so they disciplined her a lot so she would act how a diamond is supposed to.
Something I also find interesting about Pink's mural is that she's reaching up toward the circle representing her colony (Earth). While the other have them just floating around them like their control of them completely fine and stable, Pink's reaching up, as her colony is ever so slightly out of reach, and/or she's struggling to grasp it.

I have a theory, but it probably won't be seen. But I can at least try.
My theory is that Pink Diamond wasn't shattered because she was off color. My theory is this:
We know the Diamonds are matriarchs. We also know that the Diamonds are conquerors of worlds, as seen by their murals. Pink only had the earth and moon. Well, what if one of the Diamonds had wanted more, wanted to conquer more. And how do you get more land. Command and conquer. Only, Pink was in the way.
How do you take care of whomever stands in your way?
You take them out.
I believe that Yellow wanted earth for her cluster, as she felt that the humans were insignificant creatures, and earth was where Rose Quartz, leader of the rebellion, came from. To take out Rose Quartz AND gain earth for the cluster would have been taking out two birds with one stone. And to succeed, she had to take out the one variable that could have stopped her, being Pink Diamond, who had grown to care for the planet, as exhibited in her zoo.
Shattering Pink, having the cluster emerge, and taking out Rose would have been a win for Yellow Diamond, a show to all gems what happens when they rebel, and she would have had satisfaction. Or, she framed Rose, told the other Diamonds that the cluster should emerge to take care of their "problem," and take satisfaction in the fact that Rose could have died if the cluster had emerged. Either way, it would have been like sweeping their problems under a rug. But that's just my idea.
Luna Night-Goddess THAT'S AWESOME!
Rice Bean, thank you. I tried to think what a dictator would do, if they wanted more to conquer. My hubby and I have rehashed this over and over again. There's also a theory that Pink and Blue MAY have secretly fused, and Yellow caught them in the act. But I'm not sure if this could be a valid theory
Luna Night-Goddess you're welcome
also that may be a good theory but there needs to be a reason why they fused and all
also i cant wait for the new steven universe special!
Rice Bean, amen. Hopefully we hear more about the new special soon!
Luna Night-Goddess whatever the crewniverse got in store for me...IM READY!
fun fact! when an amethyst stays in the ground too long they actually do get smaller, which would explain our amethyst's height!!
Honestly I think people are thinking too much about this. Regardless of whether or not Pink should of been Red, she's quite clearly the youngest of the Diamonds, and obviously at the bottom of the hierarchy due to it. Their murals are likely to change over time, and correlate a bit with an aesthetic pleasing to them, their amount of owned planets, and their personality.
White is clearly the strongest, and most influential, having the greatest number of planets and between her hands, is Homeworld itself.
Yellow fancies herself to be the one to rival White in my opinion.
Blue is a fanciful lady well on her way.
Pink is the newbie beginning her ascension, rising to the occasion to grasp and take her first planet.
Imo if pink didn’t love earth so much and did turn it into a colony and continued colonising she would better than yellow and almost equal to white (in time.. a lot of time.) as pink diamonds are incredibly rare
@@sillygoose42069 The show doesn't care about rareness instead relies on purity, Pink diamonds are much rarer than a white/pure diamond so by default Pink would have been on top same with blue diamond, those are much rarer and most sought after but she remains below white because she is flawed
Okay but, I may not know much about this series, but all the artwork with Pink diamond's hair styled like that confuses me.
I thought she was doing some fabulous hair flip after exploding from the ground with Earth and the moon in her hand.
haha xD
HAIR FLIP
I am thinking that the diamonds were originally intended to have three of them white blue and yellow. However one day blue diamond was inside a kindergarten on one of her colonies and she saw a pink gem she was interested and saw that her gem was shaped like a diamond so she took her to homeworld were she became a gem and that is why blue is so attached to pink diamond
Me here in 2019: "fools all of you"
Nonetheless I think that your theory was interesting
Did no one realize the "yeah daddy" text in the beginning of the vid??? XD
I don't know about this one, if the old diamond insignia was representing the primary colors it could be the pigment primary colors, which are magenta, cyan, and yellow, which actually fits the colors of the insignia more. I don't think she was off colored, and to be honest I don't think she was set up by white or blue or yellow diamond. Rose did shatter her, Pearl knows this, Garnet does as well, nobody ever denied it and Rose would never claim to do so if she hadn't actually since her morals towards shatterinng are pretty strong. I have a theory that actually Pink was trying to protect Earth, since we know she took humans to her ethereal zoo, and this was her first and only colony. Maybe she knew she had to be sacrificed for the sake of the rebellion and she staged the whole thing with Rose. I'm dying for more episodes to come out and fill the gaps
Erik Reyes no pigment colors are red blue and yellow, the ones youre talking about are light/ink primary colors which makes more sense anyway because gems physical forms are made of light
Purple Burples that's what I was attempting to say lmao thank you so much
Also, light primary colors are green, red, and blue to the human eyes
Pigment colours are magenta, cyan and yellow, the light ones are red, blue and green.
johnsonthegamerguy101 okay then, I got it right on the first attempt
how come every gems skin matches the color of their gem except rose quartz
froggen_wowzah eggs tbh i think rose quartz gem color doesnt match her actual gem color! rose quartz is waaayyyy paler and was the main reason i was into the rose is pink diamond theory. you just dont see quartz as pink as that. but from a design POV i can see them making it brighter so it looks more noticable and maybe they lightened rose's skin to balance the brightness of her gem?
I saw a theory a while ago that the older the gems get the lighter their skin tone gets. Also Garnet's gem is a much different color than her
froggen_wowzah eggs in the flashback with rose and pearl her gem does match her skin colour. Also gems change colour with age IRL so it would make sense for that to happen in the show
I think of her skin color as a shade of pink/peach. If you look at the pilot, the statue had a peachy color in her gem, like a real life rose quartz, so I guess they changed the gem but not the skin. Also, Pearl has light pink in the shadow of her gem but her skin is a very pale yellow, so I guess they don't worry that much about consistency.
You've obviosly never seen the Famethysts before.

2024…
I figured it out. Plain Diamond shattered pink diamond!!! Plain Diamond got jealous of pink Diamond and told her to come out her little cart thing and shattered her. Yellow Diamond found out and plain Diamond told her not to tell. They covered it up. And in the episode when they went to the moon station the little floating ball was shards of pink Diamond and her pearl Sapphire and everything is in there. Yellow Diamond then blamed it all on the rebellion to cover it up. Is it weird how she got so defensive at the trial? Blue diamond doesn't even know (Theory)
Blair Evans I agree :p Rose quartz only has the ability to "poof" another gems physical form. Not the gem. And it's strange that white diamond would not have attended the important trial of Rose Quartz. Perhaps she avoided attending in case new suspicions arose against her.
The diamonds, they represent the primary colors.(Red, yellow, blue) some say that it isn't the primary colors and it's actually yellow, cyan, and magenta. Idk what I'm saying :p
Ironcross 49 the true primary colors are indeed actually cyan, magenta, and yellow, since you can make blue and red from different combinations of yellow, magenta, and cyan
the primary colours of fine art are red, yellow and blue. the primary colours of light are yellow, cyan and magenta. the primary colours of computers are red, green and blue.
Primary colors of 'light' are Red, Green, and Blue while primary colors of 'pigment' are Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow :p
cece Light's primary colors are red, green and blue. Those are the colors our eyes can see.
You had it a bit switched up.
the colors represent the primary colors, Yellow, Cyan and Magenta. They’re called Blue and Pink for simplicity. That would make more sense to me
"White Diamond, the absence of color"
Literally anyone who knows basic color theory: :/
Could Pink Diamond be the daughter of White Diamond? Rose gave birth to Steven and actually turned into him. If that is what happened to White and Pink Diamond it would make sense that her hair is slightly whiter.
As you said, they could be mixed together.
Yeah and with o for that rpse quarts is pink diamond it shows that diamonds can give birth
Or WD uses one of her first injectors to specifically make PD. Rocks don't give birth like ORGANIC lifeforms
Pretty sure White made all 3 Diamonds
@@corvidmurder I think White used her powers to create the Diamonds. She did say “But you are a part of me. The part I always have to repress.” So I believe that White used her powers to create the Diamonds out of different parts of herself
Going along with your theory I can see how Pink would have came out different since she came out of a Kindergarten, but what if Diamonds are supposed to come out of Planets? We saw how Homeworld was cracked in two, perhaps it’s a side effect of White Diamond emerging from the Planets core. Since Pink didn’t come from a full planet, she would’ve been smaller than all the other diamonds in general... I don’t know, I was just thinking about this theory and it popped into my head.
I always have a lot of fun going back to these old theory videos, including both correct theories (like the giant mecha made of the Diamond's ships) and extremely incorrect ones (Like White shattering Pink for being unfit for her role).

TheRealityReverse Ooooh.. I don't know what happened, but okay that's understandable.
I think the diamond represent the primary colors, yellow, cyan and magenta. But there are no magenta/cyan diamonds, so they just call them blue and pink.
Like so they see :)
Clemente Schmidt um the primary colors are red blue and yellow
Haley Hanson they're talking about the primary colours of LIGHT.
TooKawaii_desu4u The primary light ones were red, blue and green
color is like rainbows. its diverse
Correction: The primary colours are Cyan, Yellow and Magenta/Pinkish.
WillyTrek 19 Those are the secondary colors of Light (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow). The primary colors of light are Red, Blue, and Green.
The primary colors of paint are Red, Yellow and Blue and the secondary colors of paint are Green, Orange, and Purple.
so a few interesting facts to note: 1. white is actually the combination of every color in the visible light spectrum. and 2. the primary colors are actually yellow, cyan, and magenta. However, the primary colors of light ARE yellow, blue, and red.

i just got a theory. (apologies if this was already said, but, there's no point in harassing me,
how would i have a chance of knowing?)
i think that whoever shattered pink diamond, if it actually were ANYONE who shattered her,
must of been furious about how bad pink came out. They must of thought that because pink was making
and colonizing so little and so badly, that they shattered her because of how imperfect she was.
Now, I do know that it's said ROSE shattered her because she didn't want pink to destroy and take over earth.
However, get this, remember the trial? Rose COULDN'T shatter pink diamond. In zircon's theory, it had to be SOMEONE with
the most authority. Maybe a diamond, or an under-cover gem who just disliked such an imperfect diamond.
I know I may have made some mistakes or not in this, forgive me, i'm not an ultimate theorist, but try liking this comment
to see if The Roundtable can see it. I want to know what he thinks about this and if he can share it in another video.
Also, reply what you think. You're always able to prove me wrong as well. But, please don't be aggressive in your comment.

CourageWolf AJ that's a,maybe a fifty fifty chance
And that sounds like it might be a theory that comes true, though it's only a theory a diamond theory!
Lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lo- why are you still here?
Lol lol lol lol
CourageWolf AJ I love your theory, but can we take into fact that a diamond can't be shattered if you have the breaking point (RIP BISMUTH) and two diamond power (yellow diamond power is to disables a gem light form and idk what blue diamond power is but it most likely acts out like corruption ) and i think do to she a diamond that has default gem in her court that are a disease to the order. So probably yellow diamond grew tired of pink diamond but grew to care about her and shattered her out of care and love. So the gem under her can't rebel. Or yellow diamond want to move on from this death and be a stronger leader.
White isn't the lack of colors, unless you're talking about paint
2:22 As I assumed you didn’t know, what was told to us is school was a lie, and the actual primary colors in paint are cyan, yellow, and magenta
