Thanks for the informative video. Just ran across my first facility with these. They had bought the doors from a contractor doing a remodel on another building & the hardware had these on them. Was hoping that they weren't like Best or Sargent with multiple sheer lines, so I've got a decent chance of picking them if they aren't able to track down the control key.
I just got one of these from Jason at SE Lock and Key with an operating key, but no control key. I will need to find a control blank on eBay. Thanx for the video.
Hey, Tyler. I noticed that Yale also has 7.5 pin keys with the diamond-shaped control key head. Is that for a different type of core? Are they too long to be used as LFIC control keys?
Glad I found this video - very educational and well done. Much appreciated. I'm smarter now.

These videos explaining various IC systems are terrific. Especially how you describe the functionality and design of the cores. Good stuff.
Thanks for doing this Tyler. All I have learned about IC is from you. I've gotten best and schlage IC cores to work with.

Very informative video. Thank you Tyler.
Great video sir, I didn't know you had a channel I just subscribed my friend.
Do you know where you can get the control key blanks?
Are these like the schlages IC cores? Where if you don't have a control key you can cut one based on the existing key?

Very interesting. Guess macs will limit some cuts on the front pin of the operating key, and interesting bow design on the control key.
You are absolutely correct. In some cases it does happen with existing systems.
Thanks for the video. Will these fit a Schlage LFIC housing? It looks like the control lug is in the same spot.
Unfortunately they will not.
How to rekey these ? 😅
