The fear of having your home invaded by a stranger has lead to many innovations to make it more secure. But do they work? Listen to The Three Tumblers a...
Serial Killer Security Goes D.I.Y.

In the early 60s, Americans were introduced to a new kind of crime threat. With cases beginning in Boston and California, police were investigating murders that had striking similarities. Newspapers and television stations would give nicknames to the killers and run them in the headlines, striking fear into the public about who would be next. Taking home security more seriously than ever before...

Monday, September 13th, 1971. At the corner of Baker and Marylebone Streets in Westminster, London, the branch manager of Lloyd's Bank opened the vault at ten in the morning as usual. As one who worked in hvac many years a steam pipe is highly unlikely to start a fire, reason being a steam pipe can not get that hot, ive seen many many steam pipes ran right thru timbers operate for years, steam is 212 degrees even under 15 pounds of pressure which is much higher than a boiler would generate then is only 250 degrees.

A bit of information on lumber 2 by 4s and most other wood sold for framing is as a rule, pine, most doors that are solid wood are oak or pine.

Enjoyed this, A little info on heat pumps, Heat pumps were not on the market until the 1940s and were not popular until the 1960s, the reason they are not widely used up north is simply, they do not effectively work below 40 degrees, anything below 40 and the heat pump is ineffective and switches over to auxillary heat, In Ohio and about all other cold climates gas is widely used, many homes and buildings still use hot water or steam heat. up until the 70s oil heat was widely used, In North Carolina where im from oil heat was used almost exclusively up into the 70s.mostly hot air but there was and still is some radiator heat in larger more expensive homes.

I watched the video shot by the newsman that you mentioned. I clocked the speed in which the fire engulfs the entire building. It took all of 62 seconds for the fire to be an inferno. One thing that stunned me was the fire's refusal to be put out. The building was roughly 4K square feet. I noticed several ladders dousing the roof and sides and the fire was basically laughing at the water. In 1975 I lost my entire group of classmates in a bus accident that resulted in a fire. I was supposed to be on that bus trip. However, a nasty case of influenza kept me confined to my dorm room. The Station club incident kept me awake for days with terrible nightmares. It's impossible to imagine what those poor people suffered through.

Thanks for showing this, that Medeco ejector sounds great. Hoping someone makes the A1 block again someday. I’ve tried using the 6-at-once and 7-at-once capping tools (like the Framon CBCAP7) but always seem to get uneven/poor results so I went back to one chamber at a time. Is there a trick to using them? Maybe a bigger hammer surface that spreads the impact force more evenly? Or maybe it’s just lack of practice/experience? 🤷‍♂

Thank you so much for this video. I started out pinning Best SFIC, and when the day came I had to pin up a Corbin style LFIC (Emhart high security, to be completely honest), the minus and plus pins really confused me, because I didn't know the "math" scale that it was based on. This is such a great help.
